Pork belly bites + frozen Virgin mojito + alcoholic drink (forgot the name)

My bestie and I enjoyed a delightful Sunday afternoon at the restaurant and was seated outside with a nice view of Riverside / Brooklyn area. Our server was wonderful--patient and attentive. The appetizers were excellent: the Cheese Dip was luscious and gooey. The Pork Belly Bites were phenomenal--crispy, succulent, and perfectly deep fried. My Virgin Mojito was refreshingly sweet and zesty. The 3 Tacos Asada featured robust, chargrilled meat, paired with soft, well-cooked rice and beans. The Hawaiian Taco was a flavor standout delivering a perfect balance of sweet, salty, and umami. Loving the avocado and pineapple bits with the chicken. We enjoyed the experience and the high-quality food which even tasted great as leftovers. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Great food for a great price. I ordered the chicken & spinach enchiladas and they were great. The spicy margarita could have been spicier but that's just preference. Service was awesome and the place is clean, comfortable temperature, not too noisy, and decorated nicely. The seats at the bar are actually comfortable. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.

Decent Mexican place. Is it my favorite in the area? No but it hits the spot when you have a craving. Happy Hour is from 4 to 6 PM which includes $2 off all appetizers and margaritas. But don't be fooled, original price of margarita is $18 to $20 a glass but they describe it as a large glass. We sat at the bar. Not sure if the bartender was having a bad day but he was disinterested, almost annoyed we were "bothering" him with our questions and order.

I was in town visiting and this place was highly recommended for its food. First, let's talk about the place. It's very spacious and clean and honestly makes a great first impression as you walk in. Parking can be a bit tricky since there's a small lot at the front or in the appartement complex behind the building. Once inside and seated, we asked to be relocated because our table was very wobbly at the joint. The service was okay. They were quick to tend to us, bring our drinks and foods. They did, however, forget the table's order of queso and we had to remind them of it. They also never came around to check if we had everything or to refill our waters. Finally, the food. Honestly, it was really good. I ordered the carnitas enchiladas and a strawberry mojito. It was all delicious and filling. The meat was tender and the rice was well seasoned. Overall, the place is fine. I have no complaints about the food, but I left with more gripes than praise.

Came here with a party of 12 ladies. A few of them had been before and said it was so good that we had to try it. I can agree and recommend it was great. We did not have reservations, but they were able to seat us quickly. Our waiter was fantastic. (I just can't remember his name). With a large party like that, there are bound to be hiccups, with that said there was one order that they just couldn't get right, and my friend decided to cancel it. Outside of that everything was wonderful. The Cadillac margarita one of the best I've had. The quesadillas, tacos, and taco salad all got rave reviews. If you're in the Jacksonville area, you should try them even if you're not in the downtown area make the drive it's worth it.

3/10 on the tacos, ordered chicken, carnitas, and steak. Chicken over seasoned and dry, Carnitas were decent not dry, and the steak was dry. Big thumbs down on the double tortilla, they were dry. The meat portion size was awful for the price. Rice and beans were good. The location was conveniently located, the atmosphere was very upbeat, large alcoholic selection. Probably a great place for a drink! The service was slow, for a slow afternoon! Will I repeat???....NO!!!!

This spot is my new go to. I am in the area weekly for dance classes and so naturally I have come in and ate a few times but this week I was able to come in for lunch special and it was SO WORTH IT! The staff did mention a menu change, and how other customers miss previous items, however I was pleased with the selection! I'd definitely recommend to any of my friends in the riverside area!

We had the best service - I unfortunately forgot his name :( Would have loved to give him the shout he deserves!!! So I will focus on the food! Delicious food! The chips (which I am trying not to eat so many of them!) Well those chips were too good not to devour! Perfectly cooked, and enough salt to taste, but not overwhelming. I got the Diablo shrimp plate. Unique taste, nice and spicy Large portions, rice is yummy, and the refried beans delish! The hubs got asada Mexican style tacos, very tasty and great price for portions! I didn't get a cocktail (shocking I know) but I saw them, and they looked amazing. Great bar too - will definitely be back! Great area! There is a coffee shop, and Crumble Cookies on either side!

Stopped in for something light after working out. Service was fast and friendly. When the chips and salsa arrived I asked for queso and never got it which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. They have pet friendly outdoor seating for pet parents. Parking was a little hard to get unless you use the parking garage nearby. I may go back in the evening to check out their drink selections.

We walked here after Galentine's at Posting House for a quick bite. It was pretty late but it was on a Thursday night, not very busy. We ordered sangria and a few tacos, everything was great. I'd like to come back and try the full experience.

LOVE all the Anejo Cocina location! Food is always delicious and consistent. My colleagues and I ate here for lunch at the Riverside location today. It has such a nice atmosphere in their restaurant and the service was good. Definitely recommend!YUM

The quesadilla was good, the dip was a-little greasier than others. Their stuffed jelepeno were HOT with a lot of flavor. The staff was friendly and the restaraunt was pretty with the natural light and modern decor

    Is there a parking lot?

There are some spaces right in front of the restaurant. There is garage parking in the building as the restaurant is located at the bottom of a residential building.

    How is the parking?

It's minimal right in front of the restaurant. It's in Riverside. There is parking garage beneath the apartments (the restaurant is bottom floor retail area of the apartments) that offers public parking. Of course you can always park on the streets… Read more

Man, it was one of the best decisions I've made on the road lately! The food came out hot and fresh with that real homemade taste. The tacos were packed with flavor, the rice and beans were on point, and the portions were generous enough to fill up a hungry driver without breaking the bank. I went with the carne asada and it hit the spot perfectly - seasoned just right, not too greasy, and cooked tender. Service was quick and friendly, even when they were busy. The place has that classic hole-in-the-wall vibe (in the best way), nothing fancy but clean and welcoming. It felt like the kind of authentic spot locals would keep coming back to. Only reason it's not 5 stars is the parking can be a little tight for a big rig if you're not careful, and they don't have a ton of truck-friendly seating space. But the food more than makes up for it. If you're rolling through the area and craving real Mexican food, definitely stop in. I'll be back next time I'm in the neighborhood. ¡Muy bueno! -- Carlos, SemiTruckDriver

So overall, the food was decent but a bit salty, and the flavor didn't really stand out. To me it had more of a chain restaurant feel, kind of like something you'd get at Chili's rather than a more authentic Mexican spot. Drinks were mixed for us. My wife had margaritas and enjoyed them, honestly I don't think she's ever met a margarita she didn't like. I tried the Old Fashioned, which just wasn't my style. It tasted more like Fireball on the rocks than a traditional Old Fashioned. One thing they definitely did right was the service. Even though the restaurant was crowded, the wait staff was friendly, attentive, and stayed on top of everything the whole time. Overall, it's a cool spot with a fun vibe and good staff. The floors were sticky and our shoes stuck to the floor. The women's restroom was out of order. The kiosks seem like a good idea but nobody there to ask questions or to get your drinks. If you can catch one of the two people working as they bring out orders you are lucky. The menus on the kiosks are pretty informative though and tell the ingredients for each item. Kiosk automatically adds 20% tip unless you change it. Considering you don't have any interaction with employees until they bring out your order other tipping options might apply. They cook to order which is nice except you don't get your drinks or your appetizers until it's your turn. There is a comment section to type no tomatoes or special instructions. Mine still came out with tomatoes but they promptly remade it for me. The food is pretty good. No complaints there other than having to remake one of my tacos. The chips and queso was pretty good. Chips were dusted with spices and served hot. We tried 6 different tacos and they were all very good. The tortillas were toasted on the grill which makes a big difference. You can get flour or corn tortillas. The chicken and steak were marinated before grilling and were big cubes and plentiful. The menu has a pretty big variety including a kids menu with chicken and fries. The last comment is their fountain machine for drinks. The coke tasted off. They may need to recalibrate it. Drinks are served in small clear throw away cups and the lids don't fit very well. Refills are hard to get. You have to wait for someone to come out of the back. If these small complaints don't bother you the food is very good.
