It was our first time at TacoLu and we enjoyed our overall visit! Our server, Captain Queso, was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions and even made some recommendations. The place is huge with plenty of tables indoor and outdoor. We started with Margarita and Bloody Mary, my husband and I both like our drinks. The tacos were amazing! I got the $10 taco, bangin' shrimp and black & Bleu. Highly recommend the black & blue! I also got to taste my husband's order (we always share!) which were carnitas, brisket and carne asada. All were delicious! We will come back and try their brunch menu next time!

I miss this place so much. Why is Jacksonville so far away from me? A four hour drive for dinner is just not feasible monthly. Ugh. Our server was fun and such a beach bum. Please take that as a compliment. As a beach lover, his demeanor and banter with us was appreciated and welcomed. Food and drinks were great. My son and friend even went out of their comfort zones and were glad they did. We all enjoyed our dinner after a day of travel to Duuuval. 11.04.2026

We highly recommend this place. Stopped in for the first time because we were visiting Jacksonville Beach area. Had amazing Tacos! The chips and salsa were really good and the queso!! We sat in the bar area and our waiter was Henry...he was THE BEST!!! If you are in the area this is the place to go!

One of my favorite places ever in jax! The food is always amazing and it's so crave able. I love the vibes with all the tequila bottles as decoration. We showed up at 7 and it was pretty busy but we got lucky and scored seats at the bar. All the bartenders gave us great quick service. If you haven't been, you need to.

Delicious tacos that veer just enough off the traditional path to be interesting without getting crazy. Built on flavor, not trends. The rest of the menu is stellar, too, including a fun variety of tequila based cocktails. The young, friendly service staff know the menu and make sure you've always got what you need. Decor is colorful, rustic and makes every meal feel like an event. Look for the milagro charms embedded in the tabletops. Valet parking only, but it's fast and efficient - and free.

TacoLu is definitely a must try spot, even just to say you've been. My nachos were HUGE and absolutely bursting with flavor. The tacos were à la carte but decent in size. The chips, salsa and guacamole were pretty tasty as well. Of course, the drinks are always what get me in a review. They were nice and tasty with a big punch. Our server was fantastic. Very sweet and very knowledgeable. I thought it was hilarious they brought my 9 month old a kids menu and crayons lol. I enjoyed that they offer indoor and outdoor seating options. Indoor was nice and cool and the outdoor seating was shaded. The overall ambiance was nice.

Probably the best tacos in jax Consistency very very good and reasonable process. $2.50 draft Dos Equis happy hour was nice. This place rivals any spot in jax and the bar area has great energy and every cool bartender in jax seems to have rolled through this place at some point.

Amazing! They told us it would be a 45 minute wait, but turned out to be a 5 minute wait! The food is delicious and never disappoints. Very decorative and fun inside with butterflies on the walls, skeletons, big stars, and art! Everyone is very attentive and definitely a most recommended for all! (Also make sure to get the Guacamole if your a Guacamole fan)

This is my go to Mexican/seafood/cocktails and Keylime pie! I always start with the Mexican corn nachos which are out of this world! The place is always hopping and it's obvious why. The large menu with so many selections makes it so hard to pick. The $10 taco is made with tenderloin beef but I always opt for that with scallops, mahi-mahi and shrimp tacos. The cocktails are crafted with care and the right amount of alcohol. I only need one! Staff is super helpful and friendly and they always leave wanting more

We sat at the bar and had a drink. The jalapeño margarita was excellent!! Very well made and you couldn't even taste the liquor! We also had a mojito which was made from scratch with fresh ingredients. The restaurant is huge, full of vibrant decor, lots of happy gratuitous staff. We had already had dinner otherwise we would have been debating on which meal to get!

It's been a while since I have dined here, but was out to dinner here with my daughter, one of her favorite places since college. I never understood why they had valet service, and we always just opt to park ourselves in the connected strip mall lot and walk over. We were able to be seated immediately which was great for dinner on a Saturday. The inside tables for two are really close together and a bit cramped, making it feel a bit awkward with the people on either side of you. I was not a fan of their salsa that came with chips, it had a strong floral flavor, I'm guessing from too much cilantro, but I couldn't eat it. Luckily, we had ordered nachos and used some chips with that. My tacos were delicious, the wilted spinach on the perfectly cooked salmon taco was yummy and I loved the pineapple salsa on my pork taco. Overall, enjoyed our meal.

I had the Debs Verde a chicken taco the chicken was excellent. Also had Cheeseburger taco yep think of a cheeseburger on a flour tortilla. For a side rice. Wife had a Carnitas taco and a Carne Asada taco with a side salad. Everything was delicious and service was great.

Greeted and sat right away- 5 of us. Hostess nice, server nice. Right away had two large bowls of chips and two types of salsa brought to us. Chips were good, just added salt. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. And we were patient, super patient. It was a Friday, but it was not overly crowded, like I said - seated immediately around 7:40. Drinks, took over 30 minutes for a pineapple one and three skinny- we joked the food would arrive first, but we were very wrong. Then, the waitress waited for us to try- I think it was a newer person at the bar. We tried to like it, but somehow it tasted like flat sprite.our server took them away and made us them herself. Now, those were great. Small side of guac was brought after that- meant to go with the meal, but we were so hungry we just ate with the chips. It was very good- fresh tasting. Then we waited. And waited some more. Asked about the food, then waited some more. Finally, we cut our losses and asked for the check minus the food that never came. The band was starting next door and we wanted to celebrate the bday girl. Pic 1, text just after 8pm- shows me joking that I was going to eat my friends food since she was headed over from next door and taking a bit and we had ordered 10 minutes prior. Pic 2, text shows us giving up- 9pm. So over an hour wait on food that never arrived - even if busy that would be a deal breaker. We were excited to try it too- disappointed.

I had my first meal there when I visited Jacksonville Beach recently. Got the grilled bone-in yellow snapper, which was a daily special. Fresh, meaty, smoky. It was served with mixed greens and apple salad, some grilled green onions and freshly made corn tortillas. All paired well with the fish. The tortillas were about 0.75oz per piece. Moreover, the dish was served on a HUGE cutting board! I also ordered a side of Spanish rice, but surprisingly the manager took it off from my bill, saying that "[he was] glad that I enjoyed the meal so much"! The first meal was indeed impressive; it had been a while since I had had such Mexican food last time. So I decided to give it another try the next evening. Ordered the Carne Asada (asked for rare) and sub the beans with extra tortillas (to avoid high GI food). But the steak was disappointing: the first time it was served ~medium-well. The second time it was ~medium-rare so I did not complain twice. However, it was quite chewy. One reason was that, as you can see from my picture, the meat was not rest long enough before it was sliced and served. Service was good, friendly and quick. The restuarant was a bit noisy but I enjoyed the energy. Moreover, there were lots of beautiful decors and murals. I really like the tiger painted on the wall of their main dining area. So in short, I would recommend this restaurant if you like Mexican food. I would recommend the seafood and slowly-cooked stuff, like their short rib and pork shank. And I will dine in again the next time I visit Jacksonville Beach.
