Went here last night. I ordered the Cabernet and I swear it tasted like Pinot noir. I think the place is overpriced for the quality you should be receiving.I didn't think they had a lot to choose from but everyone there looked like they were having fun but I was extremely disappointed by my glass of wine. Nice Wine Bar and it's what Aptos was missing.. Great environment and atmosphere... Wine on Tap is new to me but surprisingly they are great.. The tap doesn't change the flavor of the wine and you don't have to worry about it being corked.. If your in Aptos it's a must stop place to enjoy a good glass of wine and if you don't fancy wine they have beer on tap as well.. read more

We hosted an afterparty at Cantine following our wedding at Sand Rock Farm in August 2019 and had a wonderful experience working with Keiki and her team. The space is beautiful, they worked with us to create a customized drinks menu, they were flexible about timing and music, and their minimum was very reasonable to reserve the entire bar for our guests. Their beer and wines are great, and there is plenty of loungey space plus a lovely outdoor deck in the back. Their staff was also professional and accommodating. We were so happy to have found Cantine for our wedding afterparty and would recommend them to anyone looking for a great time and hassle-free experience in hosting a private event! read more

A great selection of wine and beer with an equally impressive tapas menu, but everything I wanted to order was sold out. :( I ended up getting the mac and cheese, which was good, and the brownie, which was KILLER. Have gone to Cantine twice recently. The first time just for an early evening drink and it's perfect for that, especially on a sunny day when you can sit on the patio. The second time I took two others with the intention of making a meal of it. That's a pricey proposition. While the food was tasty and nicely presented it was meager in proportion and we left there hungry and poor. My suggestion: go there for a nice glass of wine or beer and enjoy the ambiance. The wine selection is superb, and the servers have been great about describing wines I haven't tried, steering us to certain wines and tapas when indecisive. The beers/ales have been good as well. We've found the tapas to be delicious! A nice offering with a changing selection of small plates, from olives, small salads and vegetable dishes, cheese plates, to meats (meatballs, skewered steak, shrimp) to sweets, we've found them to be inventive, interesting, and tasty. They have a beautiful deck outside to enjoy the beauty of Aptos, and the inside décor is fairly dark and beautiful with industrial/modern/rustic furnishings. Nice music in the background. I agree with the other reviewers that the food is weak, while the general atmosphere has potential seeing that it's located with a scenic backdrop in Aptos Village. This place is so great to have in Aptos. My fiancé and I came on a Saturday afternoon for a drink and snack on the patio.We had the roasted half artichoke and Brie panini and both were delicious.
