Don't bother going here. I had frequented this restaurant many times but they don't own up their mistakes. Picked by up Crispy Beef and got home to find the whole meal was burnt to a crisp. I took it back and they replaced it with a smaller portion and with a rude attitude. Helen, The lady he serves at the front desk would not give us the manager's number or the owner. Being the fried chicken connoisseur I am, I'm always on the lookout for claims about delicious fried chicken. Finally gave in to the curiosity that developed from reading some of the other reviews. I'm about to put the hurting on some fried chicken, ear to ear. Pull up, walk in. Didn't have jumbo chicken wings, all I saw was drumsticks, what a bummer. So I get it to go. Pile on some Chinese food and drumsticks. Might as well check out all of the food since there were no wings. Average, nothing unforgettable. Definitely not the best fried chicken I've had in the area. I wouldn't rank it in the top five places for fried chicken in the area. I wish I could have found the same chicken the other reviewers were going on about, but it wasn't there. Maybe the great reviews about the fried chicken are from the weekday lunch buffet. Maybe it's different cooks on the weekend night shifts. Maybe the other reviewers just have never experienced good fried chicken yet. I will definitely stay with my go to spot for jumbo chicken wings. If anyone else has a recommendation for delicious fried chicken I would like to know where it's served. read more

I wish there was a way to give a negative 10 rating because this is what this store would get.  I was very happily in the store (celebrating that I got my 2nd covid shot) and ordered some shrimp fried rice.  She told me it would take 5 minutes yet she came back in less than 1 minute with this.  This raised a red flag because food always takes longer than a minute to cook.  I looked inside the carton and saw the same rice (not fried) from their buffet bar) and some half cooked shrimp on top). I told her, I don't want this...this was not freshly made.  she began yelling and screaming at me at the top of her lungs.  I told her, "I'm a customer...lower your voice....don't talk to me that way." She kept yelling and the other staff didn't stop her.  The shrimp fried rice was $8.00 nd the buffet was $9.25.  Instead of arguing with her I turned to the buffet bar and began making myself a plate.  She screamed "that's extra" and I said, "no worries - no problem - I'll pay the $1.25.  She kept belitting and screaming at me and when I went to put the $1.25 on the counter she started being extremely dismissive saying, "Just go , just, go..." like she was talking to a dog. I said, "Look, I've been very calm, letting you talk to me like trash....I'm Black, you don't like me....but don't you ever talk to me like that.  Yup, I said some curse words to her and then all the staff decided to tell her to stop mistreating me.  I did not expect a racist rude encounter to be the icing on my cake after I was so happy to have gotten my second vaccine.  They don't treat people right.  Please eat somewhere else. The 5 star review is apparently old information. There was no buffet when I went on a Wednesday night. I went with my girlfriend who was not particularly hungry. We ordered a meal that we would share, a bowl of soup, a diet coke, and a water. We were told that we must order '$10 a person'. I have never heard of such a requirement. I was incredibly put off. I will not be returning. The restaurant was full, so it seems that the food cannot be that bad, but the staff was as bad as I have ever experienced. Every time I eat here, I say the same thing "I can't believe I ate that". The food is tasty at times and the place is loaded with local construction workers at lunchtime. The problem is the place is filthy!! The floor looks like it has not been cleaned in years!! It's gross. The food is exactly the same buffet every day. Stir fried green beans that have so much MSG that they are gritty. The fried chicken is the best thing they have. If you are not picky about cleanliness then you will get your fill for $9.00. My husband and I like Canton Delight. We've been going there for 30+ years. Their buffet menu stays constant, so no unpleasant surprises. I have to say, their Moo Soo is great! The prices are good, the service is prompt and the portions are generous. The decor is dingy, but we don't go for the atmosphere. The food is satisfying. read more

Basically you get what you paid for, service is decent not 5 star worthy. Food is decent not that great, not many choices but not surprised since it's a family owned restaurant. One thing that bother me is that one of the owner ask for tip after you finish the food, I tip about 20% the owner expecting tips for just picking up plates is unacceptable since I take Soda no need to fill up the water. This restaurant has the friendliest employees! They serve the best Chinese food I've ever tried! The vegetable lo mein is full of a variety of perfectly cooked veggies and their vegetable rolls are delicious. The egg drop soup is a must! Love this place! I come here all the time. Flavor-wise it's some of the best Chinese food in the area. The prices are also good, especially at their buffet. The other 2 or 3 Chinese buffets in the area charge almost twice as much, and the quality isn't nearly as good (even if their selection is bigger). read more

Normally you think "meh another Chinese buffet" but if you can get over having no more than a few choices, this homey restaurant/buffet really hits the spot. The restaurant itself is small and the furniture and carpet look worn, so if you "eat through your eyes" this may offset, but the food.... oh the food! You have your staple dishes (orange chicken, beef and broccoli, noodles, fried rice and soup), but since it is such a small buffet to begin with, the food is that much better. Tastes fresh, hot, and well cooked. None of that big-mass-proucing-buffet-dry/overcooked-or-raw food business here! Their hot and sour soup was ah-mazing... I have tried it at about a dozen other places, and somehow it has never Delighted like the one from Canton. So, why not 5 stars if I loved it so much? First of all, no salad/fruit/dessert options -aside from the fortune cookie they hand out as you leave- (though I'll just help myself to another serving of that yummy soup!). Secondly, the boyfriend wasn't as impressed as I was. Yes the food is fresh, and yes it was yummy - but he still wasn't 5 star impressed. He is one of those people who "eat through their eyes" so the worn/dated look threw him off. Additionally, his chicken seemed to not have enough chicken in it, he says he got more skin than meat (oh, but the soup!) All in all, however, this is the first time I come to Canton Delight, and I will sure as heck continue coming back every chance I get (especially for that soup!) read more

My favorite Chinese buffet (which doesn't really mean that much bc I hate Chinese buffets). But keep in mind, it's tiny and only has one island with food. No fruits or deserts either. However, it's close to my parents and there are times when it's like "ok no one cooked let's get Canton" and that's never a bad thing. One of the carry out boxes will feed the 3 of us given we always have rice (what you expect?) and some other small condiments. Yes, it's not the cleanest place but their food is amazing. I like to think I know Asian food pretty well and Canton definitely has one of the best Chinese, for what they offer and can fit into their space. I love their hot oil (although not very spicy). I do take off some points because they're not the nicest people. I usually don't even talk to them because I'm sure they don't want to talk to me either and so I just pay then leave. Beware though, they will chase you if you don't tip or don't tip enough. However, there was one time where I did see the server get upset and it was definitely a cheapskate customer. Overall, the servers do a good job with refilling your drinks and taking used dishes (that's really all they do) so what that customer did was uncalled for. There's more details but that's another story. If you want good buffet food, come here. Is it worth a trip if you live far? Maybe not. One of my cousins, who lives out of state, always has to eat here whenever she's in town. read more

I love this buffet. The Chinese food is definitely American style. The number of items on the buffet is not the largest, but it is always so tasty. The best deal is to order the take out box and over fill it so the lid barely closes - for only $8 lunch, $9 dinner (after 3pm). My favorite item is the Orange Chicken, but also like the Kung Pow chicken with peanuts. The green beans are also great. I also like that the buffet includes fried chicken and french fries as another option. You may have to wait for an item to be replenished on the buffet, but they are quick to resupply. The atmosphere is NOT why I come here, it is a dive. The service is friendly and quick. It really is like "eating in someone elses home kitchen". I'll be back regularly to load up to satisfy my craving for Chinese food American style. read more

Decided to check this place out. When i got there i could tell its a cheap place. It didn't look clean at all. However, i thought at least the food might be good. I believe they never change their oil. The food is absolutely greasy and not healthy at all. The Chinese lady at the register was so impolite. I had my American express with me and had left my wallet at home. She talked to me as if i had a lunch worth of $1000. I told her that i would bring the money and she shouldnt be that much worried for a damn maximum $10 lunch. She was an absolute cheap lady who has no idea of what customer service is. She even called my cell phone to remind me of my debt to them. I am a resturant owner in VA and i had cases similar and i asked the customer very politely to bring the money at their convenient without even calling them. I gave this place a shot over my usual, I was underwhelmed. I tried the Singapore Show Mei Fun & Shrimp in Garlic Sauce. Both were marked "hot & spicy" neither was, so I was a bit disappointed. I ordered carry out, kind of glad because it did look a bit run down. I have some friends who swear by the buffet though, but you know guys, a huge to go container for $8 ($10 if you can't close it) and they are happy. Live in the general vicinity and did not know about this place until last month. At first glance this place seems like your average run of the mill fast food joint with generic tasting food. Boy was I wrong. Pros For just $6-8 for a lunch buffet or dinner meal it is absolutely a steal! The food is fresh, hot, and wildly delicious. You cannot beat the distinct fried wings that they have - not quite KFC but it is not salty and is very addictive. They've got your noodles, assortment of rice, general tsao's chicken and beef plus veggies. The owners and their family are extremely nice and very accommodating. Cons - One day it could be peaceful and the next completely packed with lines forming outside. - Entire selection of food is damn good but missing a few gamewinners (seafood dishes) - Cheap and good eats so it will draw crowds from all "origins". Some random people were a bit unruly and uncouth; such as digging their noses and farting exceptionally loud in broad daylight. Overall Amazing place to enjoy a cheap yet tasty feast. Bring your friends and family - but if your group is more than 4... beware... there will not be enough seats and you will wait for a long time. read more

It's a small place that is super cheap. I usually come here for lunch due to the fact that the food is always fresh and the price is cheap.

I will give this place five stars because it is definitely a great deal and the food tastes good. It is always hot and the selection is small but adequate (and constantly refilled). I have taken my family there several times when we are not wanting to cook and always come away very full and happy. I will say that the food is not the healthiest stuff out there (but then again, what chinese food is?) and you feel a little greasy when you come away. But there are enough vegetable dishes to allow you to be semi-healthy if you try. This is a great local restaurant and one of my favorite chinese places in the area. read more
