We ordered A1 Lanzhou beef noodle soup with regular noodle A5 Lanzhou braised noodle (a little spicy) with flat noodle A7 Tomato roast beef noodle soup with regular noodle All of the noodle soups were delicious, though slightly on the salty side. The noodles were cooked to a chewy texture. They have the spicy sauce on the table for you to add to your noodles if preferred. The tomato roast beef noodle soup had a sweeter flavor, the Lanzhou beef noodle soup was more savory and salty, and the Lanzhou braised noodle soup was salty with a flavorful, well-balanced spice sauce. Each dish had its own uniqueness. You can choose your preferred type of noodle, and they're made fresh in-house. The beef was thinly sliced and tender, and scissors are provided to cut the long noodles if needed. The radish was cooked through but still retained a nice crispiness. The water provided had a sink water taste instead of filter water. They have a booster seat if needed for kids and 1 bathroom. There's a small grand piano in the restaurant that customers are welcome to play.

First time trying this local spot and we weren't disappointed. The noodles are amazing! Nice, thick, and have a bite to them. Everything was great, your greeted immediately by a super friendly waitress. The food is ready in like 5 minutes. Its very authentic and the vide is warm and has soft music playing in the background. There is a piano anyone is welcome to play! They have musical instruments hung throughout as decor, its a cool little vibe. This is definitely worth thw trip, and its very price friendly.

I came to get knife pulled noodles with my partner. We were not disappointed! We came around 5:30PM on a Monday and were seated right away. It's a casual restaurant with a grand piano inside. The waitress gave us waters and then took our orders in a timely manner. I got the vegetable noodle soup and my partner got the traditional beef noodle soup. Both were exceptional and had large portions! If I had to critique it would be that the food wasn't very hot when it came out. Usually if I order soup I'd like it to be super hot as it comes out so it cools over time while eating. I would like to come back and try some of their other dishes like their oil noodles.

Best hand pull noodles in the area, nice decor with all kind of real music instruments hanging on the wall and a grand piano that you can actually play. Noodles soup is my favorite and it did not disappoint. Cumin Lamb Burger is a surprise , crispy bun with flavorful lamb filling, if you like burgers it's a must try. Massive portions with decent price, will definitely come back next time.

Got the traditional soup noodles and a jajang mien. Also got the regular milk tea. Service was so fast! We got everything all at once. The noodles were perfectly chewy and flavors were nice and perfectly seasoned. There was a grand piano there too! I will be going back with my parents for sure.

I got the A4 - sichuan pepper beef noodle soup and it was delicious ! The noodles were thick and chewy and the soup broth was rich and flavorful. Our orders came out pretty quickly and I would definitely want to come back and recommend !

Super cute noodle spot with authentic Northwestern Chinese flavors and hand-pulled noodles! All of our dishes were awesome. Also, a heads up, because this is Northwestern Chinese cuisine, don't expect strong mala flavor (numbing spice) from Sichuan peppercorns. The Lanzhou-style chili oil is more on the mild side. It adds more aroma than heat, which brings out the flavor of the noodles w/o overpowering them. FOOD REVIEW: Traditional Beef noodle soup - 5/5: Very clean classic Lanzhou-style beef noodle soup with radishes, beef slices, cilantro, green onions, and chili oil. Very tasty and good portion size. Would come here for this clear and light soup again. Triple mix oil spill noodles - 5/5: Amazing taste, it's a flavorful blend of what tasted like a beef sauce, a tomato-egg mix, and mild chili oil -- all tossed with delicious hand-pulled wide noodles. (Correct me if i'm wrong about the triple sauces/mixes haha) Lanzhou stir fry knife-cut noodles - 4.5/5: Another savory and hearty option, that's slightly sweet (from the veggies maybe?). The noodles had a lot more protein and veggies in this dish compared to the others. Cucumber salad - 5/5: Garlic base, super crunchy, and comes in a large portion. A bit on the saltier side, but still very tasty and fresh. SERVICE REVIEW: Service was great, staff was very accommodating. One of my friends uses a wheelchair and the staff was quick to call over and brought over everything we asked for (like scissors or extra forks). Only small downside: the tap water tasted a bit plasticky from the cups, but no biggie, haha.

Super flavorful, calming, and charming noodle house. All the noodles are handmade and each taste is unique. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There is a piano, violins and mic set up for shows. Plenty of seating. Took my nephews who tend to be very picky and even they were super pleased. In the words of my nephews "This is the best popcorn chicken I've ever had" and "I love these noodles". We left with extras which will definitely be used tomorrow. Very worth it :)

Chopin Noodles is a great spot. I decided to try it out while I was in the area and was sure happy I did. The Noodles had a bit of a chewy bite, which I love and you can even see them hand making the noodles in the back. Very cool spot with even a piano in the restaurant unfortunately the owner wasnt there to play it like he does at times :). , The prices were also very fair which is always a huge plus! I went with a more conservative approach, eating the traditional beef noodle soup, but I will be exploring the rest of the menu next time!

Such a cute hole in the wall spot for some authentic noodle soup! For the price, you get a pretty decent portion size that will fill you up. I usually get the traditional beef noodle soup, and it hits every time, especially with the thick wide noodles. We also get the popcorn chicken and it's always so fresh and crispy every time. Highly recommend this for your next food spot!

Small and cozy place. Service was great and the food was really good. Definitely somewhere you can share food with someone

2nd time coming back here. my fav is still the wide rice noodle w chilli oil. tomato braised beef soup is on the sweet side surprisingly. The stir fried noodle was decent too. Best house made noodle place I've ever tried. It is a crowd fav, the place is half full when it just opened on Sunday lunch time when we got there. Fast service. I think this is the type of food that you have to dine in. Otherwise noodle will get clumpy when you don't mix it up right away when the food came out.

One of the best noodle spots in Maryland period. I have been to the Catonsville location and have had a very positive experience. This location is no different. The food is delicious and cheap. The noodle soups are perfect as it is getting colder. The food comes out fast and the restaurant has a beautiful piano inside going all with the theme. Would recommend!

Don't let yourself get fooled by the slightly random /…read morenonsensical name (even the Chinese name makes no sense to me -- what on earth does "no second / two house / family" mean?); B2J Fish Soup is home to one some of the best authentic Chinese food in the DMV. As the name implies, they specialize in fish soup, particularly a hot and sour pickled fish soup (suan cai yu) that originates from Sichuan. This dish was one of my childhood favorites, and B2J did an incredible job crafting a deeply flavorful soup that transported me right back to my family's kitchen. The soup is served in the largest bowls I've ever seen and absolutely loaded with pickled veggies and tender, flaky fish that completely soaks up all the spicy and sour flavor. I appreciate that the soup isn't overly spicy or salty, so it's possible to drink the actual soup instead of just fishing out its fillings, and it goes great with the side of white rice. Their meal combo options also come with several appetizers of choice so, in addition to the delightful suan cai yu, we also got the fried milk custard and wood ear mushroom salad. The salad was super refreshing, with a great crunch from the wood ear mushrooms and red onions. The dressing was mostly vinegar and chili-based, so it was sour, spicy, salty, and slightly sweet. It was a delightful precursor to the spicy and sour fish soup, and the leftovers also kept incredibly well over the next couple of days. The fried milk custard was a great appetizer but made an even better dessert; the milk was gooey and melty, and the fried outer shell was perfectly crispy. It was such a delightful combination of flavors and not overly sweet. This hidden gem is quite quaint, but they managed to fit a decent amount of seating inside, with several long tables lining each side of the restaurant and a narrow aisle in between. The seats are comfy and, while the tables are quite close together, there's still enough space to feel like you have a bit of privacy / separation from the other diners. I love the little bamboo light fixtures, and one of their back walls has a little semi-circle design that looks like fish scales, adding to the fun, fish-themed ambiance.

We loved the classic flavor- just enough spicy ( plenty enough for me), to make it not overwhelm the fish and still has a good kick. We did try their spicier one - that was too much spicy in our opinion, but the level of spiciness is a personal preference. Their non- spicy tomato base is also very good! The fish itself- not fishy at all. Very fresh, goes very well with the soup. The sauerkraut is very flavorful and enhances the experience well, not overpowering anything. It all goes in harmony to creat a great experience! Loved their cold spicy chicken as an appetizer and the cucumber salad with peanuts were very well received. And one more thing - their rice - is SO good! Yeah, odd thing to specifically mention rice of any Asian restaurant- this is my first as well! But their rice was just that good!

After waiting a while, our waitress finally came over and took our order. We ordered an appetizer first while deciding on our entrees. A few minutes later, the exact same waitress returned and asked if we wanted to order any appetizers, apparently forgetting that we had already done so. I specifically asked whether the salmon in the Philly roll was fresh or smoked because I don't like smoked salmon. I was assured it was fresh. When it arrived, it was clearly smoked salmon. The bao buns were actually pretty good, although the lettuce was wilted and looked like it had been sitting around for a while. A different server eventually took our entrée order. Less than five minutes later, that same server came back and asked if we were ready to close out our check, despite the fact that we were still waiting for our food and had not received our entrees yet. When the food finally arrived, the ramen was disappointing. The noodles were undercooked and the broth was excessively salty. The katsu curry was the highlight of the meal and was genuinely delicious. Unfortunately, the miso soup that accompanied it was overloaded with dashi powder and tasted overwhelmingly fishy. Which made sense with the overpowering fish market smell upon entering the restaurant. To top it all off, when we were ready to leave, the server brought the credit card receipt for signature but forgot to bring a pen. Between the repeated service mistakes, incorrect menu information, lack of attention to the table, and inconsistent food quality, I'm genuinely surprised this restaurant has managed to stay in business. There are too many good ramen spots out there to justify returning here.
