Noodle House with piano! Cute little shop plenty of parking in a shared shopping center. There are tables of typically four, but they can combine some tables for a larger group. Think overall, the restaurant probably sat around 50 people. I was recently reminded of the spot from an Instagram reel, and realized that I have been here a couple years ago. The noodles themselves are made from scratch and you can actually depending on why you should sometimes see them tossing stretching and throwing the noodles, which is always fun. I ordered the Lanzhou noodles which was good and creamy/gravy like. It is not for everyone which are waitress warned us about, but it is their traditional style. I didn't think it was that bad but the veggies were definitely a lot softer, and it was interesting to try. I next time probably follow the recommendation of the waitress and go with the oil spill bowl or soup. Some of these noodles come with already pre-set type of noodle like the Lanzhou but some of these suits you can choose the noodle that goes in like the beef noodle soup. You can choose a wide noodle or a dinner noodle or a regular type or extra wide. My friend ordered the oil spill one and that one was definitely a bit more flavorful than mine. Definitely trust your waitress she knows what is typically good. Another friend tried the spicy lamb sandwich, which was quite similar to Xian famous foods. Spicy in those flavor and a little kick. As for our greens, we ordered a side of cucumbers that were smashed in flavored a little bit, I think it could've used a little more salt or maybe take out a little bit more of the moisture before seasoning so that the cucumbers can take on more of the flavor. We were invited to lunch with a friend who took us to Chopin Noodle House. Interesting concept, but forget about the piano and the music - the food is fantastic on its own. I got the Scallion Oil Noodles - chewy, hand pulled noodles in a smooth oil dressing. Pair it with the chili oil kimchi for a nice contrasting crunch. My favorite, however, was the Tofu with Century Egg Salad - a small bowl with cubes of soft tofu and quartered century egg and chili oil. Lots of textures and tastes thrown into a tiny little bowl. Be careful - as proof that this place is authentic, their "vegan" vegetable tofu noodle soup is served in beef broth. But once you hammer out the details of the ingredients, the taste is worthwhile. Plenty of others feel the same way - we arrived when they just opened for the day, so we got a seat, but by the time we left, there was a line out the door. The tomato roast beef noodle soup had a sweeter flavor, the Lanzhou beef noodle soup was more savory and salty, and the Lanzhou braised noodle soup was salty with a flavorful, well-balanced spice sauce. Each dish had its own uniqueness. You can choose your preferred type of noodle, and they're made fresh in-house. The beef was thinly sliced and tender, and scissors are provided to cut the long noodles if needed. The radish was cooked through but still retained a nice crispiness. Super flavorful, calming, and charming noodle house. All the noodles are handmade and each taste is unique. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There is a piano, violins and mic set up for shows. Plenty of seating. Took my nephews who tend to be very picky and even they were super pleased. The Noodles had a bit of a chewy bite, which I love and you can even see them hand making the noodles in the back. I visited late Saturday afternoon with my mom for lunch. We ordered two appetizers and noodle dishes. The smashed cucumber salad had a nice tang to it from the vinegar. Loved the popcorn chicken although I wish it had more salt or basil or something extra. I would personally cut the chicken pieces a little bigger so it doesn't taste so crumpled and stale. The dishes overall were not spicy even though I used copious amounts of chili oil. I liked that they have both brothy noodles and dry noodles. Five stars for dinner and a show! We came here on a Saturday evening a little after 7pm. To our pleasant surprise, the owner was at the piano (they have a GRAND piano here) playing a beautiful classical piece, which added some extra charm to the ambiance. We were greeted and seated right away, and the waitress quickly brought us water cups. Service was exceptional the entire night. We were checked on multiple times, and staff members were super attentive and quick to address any needs without prompting (ie. Drink refills, additional utensils, scissors to cut the long noodles, etc.). We were also able to place an additional order of a noodle soup to-go, and they fulfilled the order just as requested. The food was tasty and prices were reasonable (~$15 for an entree). I ordered B6- Lanzhou Stir Fry Hand Pulled Noodles with beef. I can order this dish again and again. The noodles were perfectly al dente and the stir fry had great flavor from the mix of zucchini, carrots, tomatoes, onions, and peppers. The beef was super tender ~ I really enjoyed it. Overall, the dish had a little heat to it (so if you have a low spice tolerance, you should request not spicy), but not so much to categorize it as spicy. They also have spicy dish options, but you can just add your own chili oil at the table. If you get the noodle soup, you get to pick the style of noodles (thin, thick, wide, knife cut, etc.). I also sampled the A12- Dumplings in Sour Soup. The serving was generous (you actually get a bowlful of dumplings that will fill you up as a meal as opposed to an appetizer serving) and I liked the fresh and sour flavor of the broth. Should have received larger portions if they r charging $17 for a single order on UE. We have eaten inside before and thought is was good with decent portion sizes. But still didn't think it was worth it given what we are getting and knowing how much these simple, chili oil noodle dishes usually cost. If you dip the lamp into the spice, it adds another layer of flavor and aroma to the lamp. You got couple of different types of noodles (thickness) to choice from. I will recommend the regular and thick. I normally recommend people to visit a restaurant in the weekend. However, I will recommend you to go there in the weekdays. This place is a relatively new place in a strip mall across from Starbucks. It is clean and bright inside with some string instruments as decor and marble laminate tables. The one piece of furniture that is quite unique is a grand piano in the corner. You can't miss it. You can either order at the tablet or with the person in the front. You order first, pay first, then sit. They will bring the food to you. The food is quite good and authentic. It has a stronger taste than the other recent noodle place. The chili oil isn't that spicy so don't be afraid. Even biting into a peppercorn, it wasn't spicy. There's a corner with a self serve water fountain. One part of the night that was a nice surprise is when the owner came out and started playing classical music for about 10-15 minutes. We were sitting next to the piano and just felt at peace. I'm giving this restaurant a 3.5/5 and I'm bumping it to 4. The concept is simple: you order at the counter (or at the kiosk next to the counter) and a server will bring the noodle soup to you. There's a piano situated in the deeper end of the restaurant and maybe the owner will come out and play some Chopin songs. The taste is pretty good too. I paid $14 pre-tax for the noodle soup. The noodles themselves are plenty. Unfortunately, the noodles were accompanied by 3 thin slices of daikon and a couple of thin slices of beef. Lots of my noodle bites were complemented by the coriander and the flavorful soup. The feelings from those "half empty" bites are disappointing because meat and carbs go hand-in-hand; and the lack of meat was a bit frustrating. The service was fast and the restaurant is fairly clean. I will come back and order another noodle soup with the +4$ extra meat add-on. I want to see whether or not the +4$ is worth it.
