Prices have gone up, but unfortunately the food quality has declined. The lo mein was especially disappointing--the meat had a squishy, almost slimy texture, and the noodles were oddly hard, like they had been sitting out too long. The sweet and sour chicken was stringy, and the sauce had more of a jelly-like consistency than expected. Even the crab cheese wontons missed the mark, with a thicker with an unusual texture. The dumplings were perhaps the most off-putting--the filling had an unpleasant taste and texture that made them hard to enjoy. We've been loyal customers for quite some time, and while the last few visits were disappointing, we kept hoping it was just an off day. Restaurant is dirty, dried food all over the curtains next to our table. 2 staff members engaged in some loud shouting match. The chef was rushed to cook our food in the hibachi side even though We were in before 5 pm . After it was served the owner/manger came over & asked if we wanted boxes to take the food & i replied is it ok that I continue eating the food that was just served . The whole staff was very pushy , taking away our salt & pepper shakers The soy sauce , grabbing plates when not finished eating as I held a fork in my hand . Treated very rudely. We came here to celebrate our anniversary for a special night out ,but it didn't turn out that way as we were being pushed to leave when we hadn't been there an hour yet in the restaurant. All I can do is add a review on the food. We had lunch delivered from here. I was not a huge fan of the food. I ordered moo goo gai pan. That is my go to when I order from a Chinese place. It was just ok. Nothing really special about it. The flavor was just mediocre. They did use fresh ingredients, but there was something about it that was just nothing to write home about. I went with a group for friends and ordered Lemon chicken. I could not even chew the chicken I think it must have been left over for several days. The serving was really ample but just not good. I decided to take it home and try to use it in a green salad and it still was just tough and tasted old. The egg drop was flavorless and the egg roll was just cabbage and over cooked. The soup was tasty, if a bit stingy with the scrambled eggs, carrots and celery. The egg rolls had an odd taste that seemed a bit chemical in nature. The sweet sauce and hot mustard helped to cover that odd taste. The twice cooked pork had lots of pork and lots of cabbage, but the asparagus, green pepper and snow peas were very few and very far between. Although tasty, the pork itself was very odd. Food, service, ambience. It's a big restaurant, never feels crowded. Service is great. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food served. We always have to take home around 2/3 of what we ordered. This place is very traditional inside with lots of artwork. It is a very large restaurant that also has a grill area. We will try that next time. I did not care for them. All noodles with just a few pieces of shrimp. No fresh veg or pork inside which I am used to. They were large and bulky. The sauce that came with them, seemed like only peanut butter.Would not order them again. We both ordered a lunch special which comes with soup. We got an egg drop and a hot and sour. Both of them were tasty. For our lunch we ordered Kung Pao with shrimp beef and chicken. This had a nice flavor with plenty of protein. I enjoyed the array of vegetables as well. Loved the zucchini. Could've used a few more peanuts, but overall pretty good. The second dish was pepper steak. Sautéed tender steak with a lot of large chunks of green pepper and onion. Spicy! Was pretty good except I would like to have smaller pieces of green pepper. The white rice was plentiful and nicely cooked. The server cut my husbands ice tea replaced and fall. I had water today. Order was placed by phone and verified but was not entered correctly. Sweet and sour chicken good General Tao chicken good, not spicy but good. If you want it spicy specifically order it that way. Mongolian beef not so great, lots of gristle Shanghai egg rolls not so good-- cabbage without seasoning of any type Veggie fried rice-- same price as all the meat varieties, veggies were definitely lacking Crab Rangoons: unremarkable but ok Fried dumplings: unremarkable-- maybe Costco quality which aren't bad but if I wanted Costco I'd go there. Fried pork wontons. Taste was ok--again unremarkable but for size/quantity felt value wasn't even close. To make something with a ball of meat the size of a small marble-- maybe a 1/4 teaspoon and charge over a dollar for it was incredibly disappointing. Won't be back. I have always liked this restaurant. It has good food, and is always busy. However it was always a hard sell to get my boyfriend in the place because he said the rugs were dirty. When I told my mother, she told me that the rugs WERE dirty and she didn't care for it much either because of that. Well we just stopped going and finally went again the other night for the 1st time in a long time. I bought a great deal on groupon that gave me 6 bucks off and that was great! The place has gotten a mini-make over! The rugs are cleaned, and the windows have new treatments on them!! I had the Mongolian beef, which I've had in the past. The recipe has changed so now there is regular onion in with the scallions and beef and they actually added cilantro, which is disgusting to me. We loved the food, even with the couldn't care less attitude of the staff, it was ok. The real problem I had is the men's room smelled like raw sewage. They put ice over the drain to mask the odor, didn't work too well. Now we have had this experience multiple times and don't understand how they ever passed a health department inspection. The killer for us was EVERY TIME we ate there within 15 minutes we were in a restroom. I don't know what they put in the food but it was an excellent way to clean you out. We were seated in the far back area of the restaurant away from everyone and very very hidden, and not at the hibachi table. Oh well, we weren't going to complain. Our server took close to twenty minutes to ask us for our order. Our food did come out in a timely manner, but everything was so dry that it was impossibly to swallow. Ordered the crispy flank steak, and that was dry, and well overcooked. Had to ask for some teriyaki sauce on the side which unfortunately did not help. Decided not to finish as it was truly unappetizing. The fried rice was crispier than the crispy flank steak. It was also lacking all of the flavor.
