I was told they could come out to provide an estimate and that it was not a service, billable visit. After looking at the situation, I was told that I needed to frack my well and would also need a new pump. Because these were significant and expensive recommendations, I decided to get two additional estimates before moving forward. I'm very glad I did. What was especially frustrating was the lack of follow-up. I had to call back three times trying to figure out what the next steps were and when I could expect to have water again. I was eventually told it would most likely be a few weeks. The proposed process involved splitting up the services--having someone else come out to put water in the well $$, having Grela return to remove the pump $$, and then coming back again at a later date to frack the well $$. Ultimately, the actual problem was that my well pump had been damaged by lightning and needed to be replaced. I did not need to have the well fracked. Being completely without water is incredibly stressful, and I was highly disappointed with the overall experience, particularly the communication, proposed services, billing, and pricing. I'm very thankful that I sought additional opinions before proceeding with the recommended work. I find it completely ridiculous that I was invoiced for services that were not and never completed, so in the end I am paying for bad service.

Within 2 hours of my code red call to Frank because we had NO Water and no clue as to why - Andrew was here within 2 hours ( shocking because we live in a remote area of CT and rarely do folks show up on time and in some cases they don't show up at all) to quickly assess the problem, propose a resolution and provide transparent AND fair pricing. Frank and Andrew return early the next morning with all the necessary equipment and removed and replaced the broken pump and had water back up and running to our home by 3 PM that afternoon!!! While it was a weekend, anyone living in an area serviced by a well knows, how irritatingly inconvenient it is to be without water for more than 15 minutes. I had a similar experience this summer when we woke to no water and I called the local company I have used in the past. He failed to answer within a few hours, so I googled well service in Glastonbury and made calls to two other local companies. Within 10 minutes, Mr Ripley the owner of Northeast Well called back and said he could come out within an hour. "Believe it or not", he arrived within the promised time and thankfully diagnosed the issue as a simple blown switch which was replaced in record time. While here, he mentioned I should think about having the well cap replaced since it was loose and not secured allowing stuff to enter the pipe. He quoted me what sounded like a reasonable price and since he came so promptly even though we were not a longtime customer, I decided to give him the okay to do the work then if he had time. In no time at all, I had a shiny, secure new blue well cap! Mr Ripley, "Charlie" owns this Glastonbury business and has operated it for 30 years. Being a homeowner here for 25 years, I was surprised to learn this since there seems to be two other companies in town that everyone uses and I had never heard of it. I am happy to recommend this company and I will call Northeast Well Pump first if I ever have a well issue because of the way he handled my summer well issue and his prompt response to my friend this weekend. Eddy was the only one that told me that I didn't need to drill a well. That yes, my pump might be tired and the nipple clogged. The only honest plumber. I went ahead anyway because I had a drying up old well. Everyone from technicians drillers, excavators went out of their way to please. Attention to details. And all for a very reasonable price.
