Don't believe what they tell you, I spent over 100k on all my home furnishings from Cantoni and look at what happened to my outdoor furniture just after 2 years, it's unbelievable. Our house is not really contemporary and we are trying to make things we like from Cantoni work in our house, while also working around a serious back injury that I have, and she has been incredibly helpful trying to get us the right product and colors. From the moment I walked in I was treated with respect and patience. For a store whose primary customer base are the ultra-rich, this was a pleasant surprise. In 2019, my husband and I were looking at furniture just for the heck of it. I took a picture of this really interesting media console so I would remember it when (three years later!!!) we decided to actually redo our living room. Couldn't remember where I had seen it, but the piece had the brand name on it. I looked up the manufacturer and found a handful of dealers that carried it. Cantoni was the only one that was open on Sunday. Steve and I are a fat, unstylish middle aged couple that often get ignored in expensive stores. At Cantoni, Sean was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and made us feel like we were his most important customers. He and my husband compared notes about surround sound and other TV/tech stuff (that makes my eyes glaze over.). We made our purchase; it was delivered in 4 weeks instead of 6. Alicia coordinated the delivery with efficiency and a smile. The guys that brought it today were friendly and courteous (and didn't bitch about the 35 stairs from the street up to the front door). They called to see if that was ok to come a little early which which was fine. They adjusted the doors to be perfectly aligned and showed me how to extend the legs when we had positioned the cabinet in the right spot. It's absolutely beautiful, unusual and will be a stunning focal point when the room is painted and the rest of our furniture arrive. read more

Absolutely some of the worst quality furniture available. I've spent over $30,000 on their cheap pieces and I couldn't be more disappointed. They're great at selling the stuff, not so great at servicing it. The furniture looks great, but is cheaply made; corners were definitely cut. Some of the furniture starts falling apart with minimal use! I have a bed that is simply falling apart, and a desktop that is wearing away. Maybe some of my pieces were made in China??? Stay away from this brand unless you're staging a home. Then again, who'd spend that much on staging a home. There's a reason their in entity has dwindled over the years. I'm not the kind of person that writes reviews but I'm astounded at how bad the customer service is at this store. They are very kind and helpful at the time of selling a product but seems that once the money is in, the customer is not important anymore. After ordering a sectional, I was delivered the wrong side and I was told that it's my fault so I was asked to pay for the delivery fee again. After calling the seller trying to ask for assistance, I was told that it was my mistake. He didn't return my phone call when he said he would and he didn't have time to speak with me when I called back another day. Very disappointed. They were able to "customize" some dining chairs by requesting that the designer/manufacturer remove their name plate from the back of the chairs. We have purchased several leather chairs from them (all manufactured in Italy) and they have held up very well. Overall, customer service has been very responsive. I would give this operation 3.5 stars but that's not possible here on yelp. I dealt with Bernadette and she was VERY professional and nice but at the same time I felt... if she wasn't desperate for a sale she would have been a LOT colder to me. There was some highly lacquered furniture that I ALMOST purchased from her, I backed out at the last minute... expensive stuff ...$3000 - 7000. I discovered that their furniture is not only from Italy but its also from China too! That did it for me. If Im going to pay those prices it better come DIRECT from Italy or forget it. No chinese crap for me. It's amazing the sticker price that furniture stores will put on things that they source from China. Go figure. Might as well GO to china and get it sent over yourself. Just because Rapport furniture across street sucks so much, it makes Cantoni seem to be so much better. We bought approx 10k at Cantoni and 30k at Rapport and 20K at Boconcerpt end of Aug. Rapport is the worst furniture store we have ever dealt with. Avoid at all cost. We still haven't receive all of our orders from Rapport. And they have been lying and ignoring us. Great assortment of very sophisticated Italian design furniture with some amazing design talent on staff. For a relatively small store, the assortments are surprisingly broad. We were looking for a high quality contemporary leather sleeper sofa for a small space guest room and found it at Cantoni. A super comfortable mattress was the most important feature, so we were very pleased to find that it came with a Tempurpedic mattress. We had the sofa shipped to our condo in Puerto Vallarta, and Cantoni was very instrumental on contracting a freight company and setting up the logistics of customs and delivery to Mexico. There have some very sleek dining tables and some nice bedroom sets but there is a cold edge to the sleek and too much shiny ( yes lacquer). they are moderately to high priced. I found one beautiful chair I'm considering buying. This type of modern is more for the monied masses where as I like an edgier more original look. If you are looking for the absolute best customer service I recommend asking for Bernadette. She is extremely knowledgeable and personable. Love their showroom in LA...they have great pieces of furniture and accessories and it's a big showroom....prices are what you expect from any place that keeps good modern furniture and Italian pieces, sofas range from $4K to $5K easily.
