Instead, my order sat in their warehouse for three days, from 12/19 to 12/22. On 12/22 at 5:00 PM, I received an email saying one of the shirts was out of stock. The other shirt did not ship until 5:00 PM on 12/22. On 12/24, I checked FedEx tracking and learned my order would not arrive by Christmas. When I called the Venice, CA store to ask for help, the person I spoke with hung up on me. I was not rude. I was shocked at how badly this order was handled. Because of Carbon2Cobalt's poor handling of my order, I was even considering driving 30 miles during a flash flood to pick up a shirt at the Venice, CA store. Instead of help or accountability, I was treated with complete disrespect. Being hung up on, especially on Christmas Eve, was unbelievable. The only reason this experience did not feel like a total loss was Brian from the call center. Brian does not work for Carbon2Cobalt, yet he showed more care, empathy, and professionalism than anyone within the company itself. He listened, acknowledged the mistakes, and genuinely tried to make things right when Carbon2Cobalt clearly would not. This is one of the most inefficient and disappointing customer service experiences I have ever had. I will never order from Carbon2Cobalt again. If Brian ever starts his own company, I would gladly be his first customer.

She greeted us and told us to let her know if we needed any help. The other associate didn't speak while we were in there, but may have heard what the other person said. It's a nice boutique that has an overall good selection of apparel items that are all organized and displayed pretty nicely. I did feel that the price point on most items was a little on the pricey side (even for Malibu), but we didn't get anything and I'm not sure what the overall quality of the product is. I would say if you are in the area and want to do some shopping for some high end boutique items, this isn't a bad place to check out, what's the worst thing that could happen --- you may find something that you can't live without.

I need 2-3 killer suits and 5-7 Great suits. I have been doing research on my own, as well as using the "image consultants" that my company hires as a reference, to help find out what makes a great suit and Zegna is up there and ranks as a great suit, not quite the best, but it is up there. Now the store is big and beautiful, and Its always being featured on the show entourage. the causal/sports wear stuff is on the first floor and the suits are on the second floor. i was there on a weekend so the place was jam packed so I didn't get much direction from the staff on where to go, but its understandable. there are no racks here, or any true way of finding the size you want as suits are scattered pretty much randomly through out the second floor. they are grouped by style and sized with in the group. Eventually I see a navy pin stripe I like and flag down a busy sales person to see if they have my size. He goes in the back be-grudgingly and brings it out wrapped in a sort of dry cleaning plastic with their logos on it. He hands it to me and politely excuses him self as he tends to the customer before me. Again they are packed so I understand. I put on the suit and it fits nicely, it feels good. I then check the 20 or so points that make a fine suit and it hits about 14 of them. While I am not a fan of the styles (2 pleated pants- I prefer flat front) I decide to take the plunge and purchase this one. Side note- Zegna has 2 lines of suits- Their Z line is more hip with slimmer cuts and more modern details (flat fronts, slim lapels) but there is a big drop off in quality. their Zegna line is higher quality but made with a more traditional cut. Next I see a solid flannel gray and flag the same person down, this time I get the "what ever we have out is all we have" line. WTF? I just saw you go in the back for my other suit. He then asks me if he could put the first suit away now. I sheepishly answer that I am going to buy it ( I don't know if i should be angry for his rudeness or be understanding as he is obviously swamped and frazzelled) I see him change his tone and smile and ask if I need the tailor to come out and fit the suit on me. I say no Ill take it to my guy and I'm out the door. Overall it wasn't a great shopping experience. The suit was pretty nice, not quite exactly what I was looking for but it will do. But the staff was completely overwhelmed and a little rude. I want to walk out of a store after spending 2k feeling good, instead I feel a little agitated. I know my 2k was just another drop in the bucket for them, but I'm beginning to think this is just the way high end stores treat the normal folk.
