‼‼‼ ‼On June 26, my 18 year old nephew was taken advantage of at this dealership. He was beyond excited to purchase his first vehicle. They preapproved him and he drove down from Wilcox. He was not offered a test drive or to negotiate the price of the vehicle. On July 31, the vehicle broke down on the highway with his infant baby in the vehicle. The following day he notified the dealership and he was told they would contact the bank and reverse the transaction. The following week, they "repaired" the vehicle. Within a week the vehicle broke down again. It will not start and my vehicle is without a vehicle . He cannot go to work as he works in Safford and cannot take his infant son to any DR appointments as they are in Tucson. The dealership refuses to help, my nephew has not even made his first payment yet. The vehicle has been broken longer than he was able to drive it. My nephew is in a very difficult situation, if he trades in the vehicle the trade in value is only $8K and that's for a vehicle that runs , if he doesn't make a payment his credit is ruined. They sold him a 2015 Chrysler for $15K out the door. I would NOT recommend this dealership as they took advantage of the fact my nephew was young and not familiar with the car buying process. ‼‼‼ read more

Bought a vehicle from Canyon auto and found they do not service their vehicles before resale. After the purchase I found that all the fluid levels were below the ADD point and the engine oil was black in color. I had to go out the next day after buying the vehicle to have the oil changed and all the fuilds filled. I suggest if buying from them to have a mechanic check the vehicle before purchase. read more

All the guys at Canyon auto were great and incredibly friendly and helpful but I worked with Vic especially. They clearly care about their quality of business. I was looking at a 2013 camaro and it had some windshield damage which they reassured me would be fixed at no expense to me (they also fixed some upholstery on the drivers seat). They also found out the day I purchased that 2 tires were shot and they got them replaced before I took the car home cause they didn't want to let me drive off the lot like that. They also held the vehicle for me. I could put down $500 to hold it like they originally offered so they let me settle at $100 which is likely the only reason I was able to get the car. The camaro is in great condition and was amazingly priced.They truly care about the products they sell and the people they sell them to. I was interested in a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado that was posted on their website. I went to the dealership on a Saturday. Was told it was still in service/detail; they would call when it was ready. I also sent a inquiry via Car Gurus. Was texting and receiving updates from them daily. They called next Saturday regarding another Ford F-150 I had showed interest. Told salesperson that I was more interested in the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado. Was told again, I will be called when it was ready. Later that Saturday, I texted for another update and they said they would check on it. That's the last I heard. Within an hour, it was taken down off the dealership website. We purchased a truck from Canyon Auto Sales in December of 2023. Shortly afterwards, we encountered multiple issues with the vehicle, including excessive play in the steering wheel, the check engine light coming on (several times), and a gas cap issue. Despite being assured that these were minor problems, the truck ultimately broke down in May and required a costly repair. The rapid onset and nature of these issues indicate a pre-existing mechanical problem that we were not informed about at the time of purchase. After a month of waiting for diagnosis and repair we finally received the repaired truck and we noticed a new problem--a noticeable knocking from underneath the vehicle. We feel that we were misled and sold a faulty truck. While exploring legal options may not be feasible for us, we strongly believe that the dealership should have offered some form of compensation or considered buying the truck back. Pulled in to look at trucks the salesman rudely came out without introducing himself blowing cigarette smoke in my wife and I face. we thought about sticking around because inventory was nice but not nice enough to deal with giving a rude unfriendly person our money he didn't properly introduce himself as the salesman until we told him we were looking to put down a 5k upfront payment still knowing we were paying customers his attitude remained the same we just seemed tolerable at that point to him. I will never recommend nor step foot back on this dealership they need a new approach the mad dog style is not a way to get sales out of people. If you are looking for a great deal here in Tucson, look no further! The guys here were so helpful and willing to work hard to help out. I had made a poor decision on a car four years ago that I was still paying for and felt like I could not get out of it. When I pulled into their lot I was immediately greeted by Stuart who was excited to show me the truck I was interested in. He let me test drive it and looked at my car while I was on the test drive. All their inventory is super clean and very well taken care of! I was surprised how nice each truck was I looked at. Of course once I got on the road I knew I wanted the truck I had come to look at. Once I was done we discussed my current car and just how upside down I was in. I was told that I probably would not be able to get the truck I want because of my own poor decisions earlier in life, but they had something similar for me to look at. After letting me test drive five different trucks over four days, I got a very excited call that they got me into the truck I wanted at a lower payment and better rate then I had now. Don't trust their "100 point inspection". I stopped by the other day to take a look at their 2009 Nissan Armada. Online it looked like a steal. So much so that I thought that there would be a catch. Unfortunately, my intuition was correct. The first thing my wife and I noticed was the putrid smell of smoke; it was nauseating! The previous owner must have smoked several packs a day, and the Armada must've looked like a locomotive when it was cruising around town! The vehicle drove well, but the 2nd row A/C controls did not operate, and the ceiling console was falling off. The salesman tried fixing the console, but it was too late. The price is great, but tack on an extra thousand to get rid of the smoke, fix the 2nd row A/C controls and the ceiling console. To add insult to injury, the windshield reservoir was empty! Ok so I live in California and I was looking for a Chevy Silverado z71 2009 I found one at canyon auto sales that I was interested in I contacted them at asked if the truck was in any accidents , the sent me a car fax and assured me they went thru the tuck thoroughly and it has no sign of any accidents , and that it was a very clean truck .i told them I could fly in and purchase the truck . I asked if there were any dents and any visible damage scratches etc. they assured me not a scratch . And I also was happy it was a z71 and the color I wanted . I flew in and went to the dealer . I got there and I was ready to buy the truck I asked why the paperwork did not say z 71 and I was told it's defiantly a z71 and its only stamped on the block of the motor . I noticed a few dents and scratches and ask why they did not tell me when I asked and he said he did not see them . But now he did . So they did not adjust price at all. I had to get back to la so I bought the truck and drove to la .when I got home I turned on the ac and glass flew out of the vents . This was due to the broken windshield the truck had . So I then looked in glove box and more glass under seats more glass. So I decided to take it to a trusted body shop in my area . They informed me the hood and grill and both fenders and both doors on left side were hit hard . Also was informed by Chevy and the dmv the truck is not a z71 . So now everything I was told was lies. I called them and they argued with my about my findings. I was very upset . They continued to say it was a z71 . And ignored everything about the accidents. If they were honest I would of never bought the truck . So after 3 months of my calls they offered to give me my money back , I would have to drive 9 hrs there and fly back another 250 for flight that they refused to pay for. I would never recommend buying from this dealership. So I paid top dollar for a z71 and got a sticker that says z71. And a truck with a hood and fenders from Taiwan. Check engine light is still on after 2 trips to the mechanic. They will not take the car back as in accordance with the Lemon Law. The owner refused to even contact us to try and make things right after several requests. He doesn't have time or respect to call us but can take the time to dispute my review. I was crying in their parking lot on Friday due to so many problems with our suburban that we purchased not even 2 weeks ago and all did they asked me to leave after stating they would get me yet another appointment with their mechanic to try and fix the problem again. Yes I have not incurred any expense so far, but I also paid over $22,000 for a vehicle that I have had to take to the shop multiple times and it still isn't fixed. It smells like exhaust so bad inside at times that I wont even drive it because I don't want my kids to be exposed to the exhaust. He was 100% the worst negotiator than. And for you to come back and say I am either lying or not credit worthy I think establishes the issue at hand. I never implied that is all they would finance. I said that is the retail value with no upgrades. The bank in question will not use KBB but NADA which is notoriously lower... all of which if your short and rude sales tactics were more patient, you would have known. I had the ability to negotiate up to 125% without changing my very low % but again none of this was "listened" to as you put it. Moral of the story is this... I got a better equipped, lower mileage Jeep from another dealer for a very fair price. They made money and I got more than I paid for in the end. That's all I was looking for, they sent my bank KBB, blackbook, and NADA just to see if they would go for it, you know to earn our business.
