After my negative review, the manager, Travis, reached out via phone and email to get further information/details on what happened. I explained my side of the story and he listened 100%. Not only was I shocked that the manager had reached out in regards to a review to try and fix the concern, ​but he understood where I was coming from on a customer/client perspective. He verified that my account is set to do what I had envisioned going forward given overdrafts, and he explained the differences when a transaction would not qualify and an overdraft would have to be charged. Don't recommend. Impossible to link my other bank account so I can move money back and forth. Online options slim and phone customer service zero help. This was after they charged me for returned statements for not updating my address. Despite mail being returned they continued to mail the statement month after month. I love credit unions as they represent the community and serve as a community resource. Not One AZ Credit Union. Their customer service consists of evasion and pass the buck. When I asked to bump up the request for support for a supervisor twice, both times denied. The response call customer support number! Added to that misery of poor service their online message system to request help is broken. A half dozen times I get an error message. I ask to get the email address of a VP, no response. Just a call the customer service number. I have a checking, savings, mortgage, money market with One AZ CU for the last four years. They treat me like shit. There are other credit unions. Google will give you a list. Check them out. All of them must be better than the dismal ratings seen with One AZ CU. read more

I can not speak more highly of Ella P. I have never had an individual work so very diligently and put in so much time to accomplish my loan. She commucated all the time, worked with the dealership, got literally everything handled. I have to say I haven't experienced this level of customer service and care in years. I got the vehicle I wanted, didn't have to settle for something lesser, and amazing rare and perfect payment. She went above and beyond any typical scope of work for a loan officer. Awful customer service I had direct deposit and I was changing my direct deposit to checking and because I'm no on the account with my husband they rejected my direct deposit because I'm not on the Account but I am on the savings but not the checking my husband went in person so I can make changes on the accounts and those losers only change the savings not the checking. I tried opening an account with them online. The next day I was called and asked to EMAIL my Birth Certificate and Social Security number to finalize my account. Once I heard that I knew this place wasn't for me. Any place that asks you to email that information, doesn't have your security in mind. Absolutely horrible customer service when it comes to online options specifically paying online which is my preferred method. They don't have that option so I usually have to go into the local branch on Alvernon to make my car payment. Today of course the lobby is closed because of covid-19 and I had to sit in the drive thru line for over an hour! And this was during a "non peak" time! To start off my wife started out original account with AZSSCU in 1999, almost 20 years ago. When the name changed a little while back and all of your long time employees quit the branch it was a sign. Any semblance of customer service has gone out the window. The last 6 months have been the worst. Constant turnover because you have disrespectful staff. After all these years of business today will be my last time setting foot in your Alvernon branch. Ive been a customer for over 40 years never had a problem. Now with the banking app its supposed to be easier, it was with the old app everything was wonderful now they changed their app for NO good reason at all, the worst app ever . You better keep good records because the app doesn't give you jack crap for info that you want ( the old app did ) but i guess they dont care and just want to waste money on an app that just outright sucks. If I could leave a 0 star, I absolutely would. Monica the assistant "manager" and I use quotations due to the fact that a manager is supposed to manage a situation with good virtue and empathy. Basically after telling me I had 2,000 worth of unresolved issues in collections. Obviously you guys have a process and I'm sure that it is based on a set of parameters you have to follow. I'm not mad at the decision. I'm mad at how absolutely horrifying her customer service was. At one point making a statement " well you make 3.5 k a month (in a very condescending manner), shouldn't you be able to pay off your debts " not knowing my personal situation as a single father with 3 kids and the fact that COVID has destroyed our sources of income. You guys can't approve my checking account and that's fine, but at least have the due diligence to tell me without making me feel like I'm somehow irresponsible and worthless. I almost cried walking to my car and had to call my wife to calm my self down at how infuriating that was. Jeff Nicely was a good manager and that this place would take care of me especially with the fact I had 2000 dollars ready fo deposit. I plan on making those debts of 2000 disappear through a bank but that was just insane and I really hope who ever in charges sits down with Monica and explains the emotion and impact it has when you tell people the news she had to deliver. I would've been fine if she explained it in a positive manner but when I asked her the questions I did and what I could do to mitigate it, it looked liked she wasn't even looking or listening to what I had to say. How she became a manager, I don't know but I truly believe she needs to be re-evaluated for the position she holds when it comes to dealing with customers. Everyone else was nice to me and cordial but Monica has some serious things she needs to work out when it comes to convey bad news to people who are already going through a tough time trying to open an account and provide for their family. I started banking here in 2014 because it was one of the few banks who would finance an autoloan for an older used vehicle. Being impressed with the service I received during the loan process, and being dissatisfied with Bank of America, I decided to move my personal accounts over to OneAz. Let me tell you, this was a great decision. Over the past 5 years, I have received nothing but 5 star service and have had zero banking errors. OneAz has worked with me on certain banking mistakes I have made, even though they were my fault. The tellers all know me by name and always greet me with a smile when I walk in, and keep tabs on my busines and personal life. This makes going to the bank feel more like catching up with the gang rather than another vanilla weekly task. I like OneAz so much, I have since opened a business account with them, and a joint checking account with my wife. I've never been happier with a bank. Highly recommended! read more

This CU has TERRIBLE Customer Service. They will say I'm just bitter. They're right! I am. I bought a Jeep from one of their members on Monday (9th). I was assured I could register it in 2 days. Expedited Release - I paid $10 extra for it. Four days later, Fri (13th) still not done. Numerous phone calls and a personal visit to the Branch - NOTHING BUT RUNAROUND. They have my money I DON'T have my property. I wouldn't bank here for ANY reason. read more

I called the number on the back of my card to inquire what was going on and was told by the representative I have to call the same number I just called and select member services. She was not able to transfer me because she was in a secure line. Of course member services is closed until Monday. Can someone assist me on why to do in this situation? There are a lot of things I dont understand. The first thing that baffles me is why a credit union will not let you buy change from them if you are not a member/account holder. The level of stupidity that this requires is absurd. After standing in a line of 1 for almost 5 minutes it took the cashier another 3 minutes to tell me that they would not sell me rolled change. I only needed $18.00 in change. A roll of quarters, dimes, nickels and 2 rolls of pennies. I made the mistake of stopping there without an account because it was the closest to my location but they would not help me with my needs. While I was standing in line I had briefly contemplated opening an account because my credit union is 2000 miles away. I drove 20 min to the other side of town to The Bank of the West on Swan and they gave me change without question or issue. I do not have an account with them either but the teller was friendly and accommodating. While the girl at OneAZ Credit Union had some smartass response after telling me I had wasted my time to by asking for service to "Have a nice day!" A you freaking you joking after losing 10 minutes in your credit union, being refused service, and then politely told to have a nice day I had to restrained myself from a response. An hour later and I am now just returning to my store that needed the change an hour ago. But because AZOne CU was closest to where I was in relation to where I needed to go I made the mistake of thinking they could sell me $18 in change. If you are thinking of opening an account here do your research and dont expect services if you are not a member. Our society is already to messed up to refuse service for any reason but something as simple as trying to get a few rolls of change for your local business that tries to support local I will never return to AZOne credit union. read more

Beware! Staff acts friendly, but took advantage of my 85-year old father in law. He attempted to leave my daughter money for her college education shortly before death, but was tricked into signing an annuity contract by the local LPL representative. We won't see the money until the contract runs out in 14 years, if at al!. My wife, who used to bank there, recently cashed a large check from an insurance company, and they held the money for 2 weeks for the "check to clear". Love the people and the credit union, wish they would expand, hate the ATM fees. Also if you happen to be tied to family accounts they tend to transfer funds from the wrong accounts. I called about this and was told it was my responsibility to validate the tellers work, so I thought it odd that I am the auditor of for the credit union.
