It was great! They said they didn't have any ranch, and ended up stocking the fridge with ranch when I was about done with my pizza (didn't love that part, but the pizza was still good). Solid 3.5, I rounded up because it's not that bad after reading all these reviews! It's very good cafeteria food, the kind that knows how to fry. Their French fries were perfectly golden, possibly missing a little salt, but my western burger balanced that out. My entire family stuck to the burgers, and it was a good burger. It tasted like beef and the bun was soft. The other popular thing on the menu is the pizza. We didn't have any of the pizza, it looked like the bready type. The name "diner" threw us off a little. There is not a lot of places in Bryce Canyon so we gave this place a shot. I was skeptical about this place because it had a lot of 1 star reviews. I guess it might have to do with timing. It is not large so if a group of people come in they may try to rush. It was not crowded so they were pleasant. We ordered 2 of the 7" pizzas. A pepperoni and all meat. This place is good. My daughter had chicken teriyaki. I had a cheeseburger and onion rings and my son had a pizza. They offer a little bit of everything. So it's a fast food restaurant that has a mixture of different foods. They have outside seating, which is nice. The service was good. It's just a fast food restaurant. We were a little hesitant coming here based on the reviews but we were pleasantly surprised by how good the pizza was! The diner was not at all crowded, quite the opposite of the other restaurant in the same area. We ordered our food and found ourselves a nice little booth. The diner has the interior of a typical 70s diner - small tables, colorful bench type chairs. The menu is decent, but not the typical long menu characteristic of a diner. We got the 14 inch combination pizza for the two of us. In hindsight, a 7 inch pizza would also have been more than sufficient. The pizza was freshly made and quite solid in terms of taste and technique. The crust was perfect, not too thin, not too thick. There were tons of toppings. The only drawback was the lack of chili flakes and cheese packets anywhere in the diner. The lady at the counter was very nice and friendly. The pizza was cheap and lasted us two meals. Stopped here as I was getting back on the road leaving Bryce NP. The dining room is kept clean, you order at the counter and the woman taking our order was friendly. I ordered a bratwurst combo meal, it's warm and it tastes pretty good, I like that it comes in a hoagie bun but it is nothing to write home about. The fries need some salt but they have it available with the other condiments. It was ok, you can order online which I like, we got the garden pizza to-go to eat in the park. Well worth it. A large will feed two hungry adults maybe three. This garden pizza ran about 25 bucks plus tax. It's not great but it's not bad. Garden only had olives, onions and mushrooms in it...so we added chicken. read more

I read a lot of the reviews and it said the pizza was just "meh" but when we got our pizza, it was so good! We ordered right before closing for a pick up. We also got the peach smoothie. They gave it to us with a spoon, not a straw. That was odd but it was a pretty good smoothie! Food options are sparse but this is a good option for the family. Well ok... it's food, I will give you that. I had a roast beef hoagie my wife had the burger. Mine was priced right and of possible quality for a cold cut sandwich. My wife had an inedible chicken burger, under cooked and tasteless. We tried the fries and coleslaw, both were meh. Like I said, it's food, barely. I liked the staff-Friendly and attentive. We came in here since the line at the restaurant next door was a mile long. They have burgers, hot dogs, chicken strips, fried shrimp, hoagie sandwiches and pizza. It might not be the freshest or healthiest but it seems to be made when you order it. They also have smoothies. The pizza looked great and all the tables eating seemed pretty happy. I don't know why this place has such bad reviews. It's a diner...diner food but it was pretty good and the kids loved it! You can fill your drink with soda or hot coco (which was amazing because it was so cold). They have individual pizzas and big pizzas. Burgers, hot dogs, and chicken. Kids meals and salads. Well rounded easy stop, by no means best meal ever but it was good and the workers were super nice! Diner is a bit of a misnomer, it's fast food. It's nothing special--it reminded me of a school cafeteria, and they probably just take stuff out of a freezer and put it in an oven or deep-frier. Wasn't expecting the food to be gourmet but I was expecting my food to be cooked. I was served a pizza with raw dough, talk about a sickening feeling when I realized what I had bit into. When I notified the staff that they might want to tell their "cooks" to keep it in the oven longer I was met with, "uh...sorry...". I wasn't expecting them to lavish apology upon apology for the lackluster experience but perhaps a little genuine customer service. Honestly, from the name of the place, I was expecting like a Denny's type place, not a fast food place. Which actually is JUST the type of place we were looking for! So she ordered the nuggets meal, and I had the Chicken Sandwich meal. The Fries! The Fries! It honestly tasted like McD fries. Crispy, but a little soft, and enough salt, but not too much. That alone, was worth 4 stars. The sandwich wasn't bad at all... Was a grilled Chicken patty with some lettuce and tomato. With some Honey Mustard sauce, it wasn't half-bad! My wife's nuggets... tried as hard as she could, couldn't make them taste like McD nuggets. They were a bit bland and had a thick coating. We wouldn't recommend them. I didn't mind them, after I dipped them in Honey Mustard. EVERYTHING tastes good with Honey Mustard. Theirs taste a bit more like sweet n sour to be honest. Overall, this spot was just what the doctor ordered. Just don't go expecting a sit-down All-American Diner. It's pretty much a fast food place that also serves pizza...
