Not bad meals, venue, and service for a national park. The food is a bit pricey, but still good quality. This is a proper sit down meal -- not something you would expect for a national park. This place gives more French fries than the actual meal. The grilled cheese and black bean burger both have taste.

Everything came out hot and prompt! Everything was served with so much love. We were so impressed and we truly wish we had more time to enjoy dessert !

Great food, great service consider you are in a rural national park. Apple pecan salad was tasty. Wings were crisp, and burger are made just right.

We dined here for all three nights that we camped in the park. Each night we were met with smiles, upbeat welcomes, and great service. No matter how busy the dining got, the wait staff were efficient at getting everyone taken cared of. The rustic dining room was a perfect ambiance for national park lodge dining. On the first night, we both had the warm trail bowls. One with chicken and one with salmon. The wild rice, quinoa grains were toothsome and generous. The green chile gave it the right amount heat to make things interesting. The chicken was tender and moist. The salmon was cooked perfectly crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Night two, we had the burger with a small wedge salad sub instead of fries and the grilled rainbow trout. The wedge salad sub was an extra $5 charge, but was the perfect accompaniment to the burger. This should be a suggestion printed on the menu! The grilled rainbow trout was much bigger than I expected. It had a crispy crust and moist and tender inside. I found a few small pin bones, but no problem. I know am eating fish. The wild rice and brussel sprouts side was flavorful and yummy. We really enjoyed this meal. On our last night in the park, we splurged and shared a full size wedge salad and a 14 oz ribeye (plenty for us). We knew we'd enjoy the salad. The ribeye was perfectly cooked to our requested temp. We topped off dinner with the apple crostata. It was just the right amount of sweet to cap off a terrific dinner. We were pleased to find that they carried a non-alcoholic beer (Corona). A special shout out to Maria R and Michael M who took great care of us over the three nights. Your upbeat attitudes and friendliness made our meals at the BCL special. Thanks!

Well, this is a rustic restaurant. Lead by Ed we had a delightful, if up and down experience. Starting off with drinks we had an Amber Ale that was full, bold, and delightful. I had an Old Fashioned that tasted like water and cheap vodka. Not what I expected. We then dug into a Brussel sprouts appetizer that was crisp, well seasoned and cooked perfectly. On to our main course. We were not too hungry, so I had a chicken quesadillas which was very tasty, but overshadowed by too many soft and flavorless onion. Loved the light cheese and the sauces were cupped for dipping. My companion had a Cesar Salad with Salmon. It was perfect! Overall, a good experience, I give it a solid "B".

Food was excellent finally found a place that made better salmon than my own. Service was quick and the restaurant had an old cabin zine to it with plenty of seating.

I went on a weekday evening right when they opened, and it was a short wait (less than 10 minutes) to be seated. Throughout the visit, all the staff I interacted with were very friendly. I got the trail bowl ($15) which is actually one of 2 vegan entree options they have. I like that their menu has options for people with different dietary preferences including gluten free options, and everything is labeled clearly, including the ingredients used. The bowl was ready in 15 minutes and unfortunately tasted bland and flavorless. It was dry and could use some kind of sauce. At least the ingredients are nutritious and filling which helped after a long day of hiking.

This is the only restaurant in Bryce Canyon National Park so we decided to give it a try for lunch. We didn't stay at the Lodge itself. We were seated right away and the restaurant was not busy. The Caesar salad was excellent and I really liked their Starbucks coffee. So why only 3 stars? First off, we were given extremely sticky menus which we warned our waitress about and she seemed offended by that. She was also inconsistent with her service. She took our order quickly but after we got the food she disappeared for quite some time. Also, she asked both of us to put the plate down ourselves and I have never been asked that before so this was a first and very awkward.

I don't ever expect anything great from a national park restaurant, but this was a nice surprise! After coming here for lunch, we decided to try our hand at dinner. I didn't order anything except for a bowl of chili, and I must say, this was probably the best bowl of chili I've had in my life! I could not recommend this more! I chose this after reading other Yelp reviews, pointing this entree out, and like I said, I'm incredibly happy with the choice. Ambiance wise, the seating was cozy and nice. The interior decor felt appropriate and very national Parkesque. The 4-star review comes from the service. Our waiter was very nice, but after taking our order and delivering our food, he seemed to disappear. We wanted to order dessert but ended up not doing so after waiting for our waiter to come to our table 20 minutes later. It also was incredibly annoying how difficult it was to get our bill correct. We had to tell the waiter 4 times how we wanted the bill split (we just wanted 2 bowls of chili and a salad on a separate check) but he did not understand and we finally gave up after trying so many times. Some wait staff training is definitely needed. Outside of this, stick with the chili and you will not be disappointed! Side note, several others in our party said the breakfast buffet was great for its price point and options, so I'd give that a try if you're in the area as well!

Had the All American burger was juicy and tasty. Bun was fresh. Came with fries which were hot. Enjoyed a nice lager on tap from St George brewing. Nice ambiance with a friendly staff. Would definitely dine here again.

Reasonable good Park food as one can expect out in the middle of no where. Service can vary between great to ambivalent depending on your server, hey it is park employees. Had a good Fourth of July dinner and 5th buffet breakfast.

The dining room at the Lodge is an acceptable option for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, with a wider variety and more reasonably-priced options than you'll find at other Aramark-run Lodges at national parks The breakfast and lunch buffet aren't terrible, and the menu offers something for everybody, including some healthy options.

Penne with tomato sauce, mushrooms, and mozzarela. It sure didn't look or taste like mozzarela. edible.

Convenient if one is staying in the park. FOOD: 2.0. But it comes out fast after one orders. - 1.0: Ahi Tuna appetizer. Precooked, but not completely thawed. Strangest seasoning I've ever had with Ahi Tuna. Menu listed Wasabi as an ingredient, but we could not detect the slightest hint. - 2.0: Penne pasta with tomato sauce, mushrooms, and mozzarela. Not bad, other than I couldn't detect any mozzarela. A small cup of powdered cheese was served with the dish, but I have not previously seen powdered mozzarela, and it didn't taste like mozzarela. - 1.5: Hot Trail Bowl. "edible". - 4.5: Seasonal vegetables. The surprising star of the email. Fresh vegetables sauteed with light salt/pepper seasoning. Perfectly done to the perfect crispness. SERVICE: 3.0. Attentive and brought us what we ordered. AMBIANCE: 4.0. Dining in the Lodge was nice.

We decided to risk the lunch buffet for $18 at Ruby's Inn, figuring that there would be at least one item we would enjoy. There isn't much information about what's actually included in the buffet, either on review sites or on their own website, so we were a bit worried about the selection. While Ruby's Inn can't match a buffet in a larger city, we found the selection to be good enough, with plenty of protein and carb options, veggies including a salad bar, and dessert afterwards. Originally we thought most of the dishes would be Sysco food heated up, but I think Ruby's Inn actually makes a surprising number of items in house. Some notes for the meat selection: Pulled pork - dry but it's quite smoky like they actually smoked it rather than using liquid smoke. Zuppa Toscana Soup - might be from a bag, but is doctored a bit making it peppery and thick. Orange Chicken - gummy with thick breading and low meat ratio, but seems to be made with real orange juice in house. Meatloaf - dry with a thick layer of ketchup baked on top. Baked chicken - bone dry and extremely overcooked. For the carbs, there's sweet cornbread with a condensed milk sauce, rice pilaf that's surprisingly hearty, mashed potato that doesn't seem to be from powder or premix since it has small chunks still, that comes with chicken gravy, and finally mac & cheese, soft with a Velveeta-esque sauce. For dessert, there's vanilla and chocolate soft serve with Hershey's chocolate and caramel topping, and three types of standard buffet dessert squares. I don't make the food sound that appetizing (and honest it would deserve a 3 rating at max in any other setting), but considering the style of dining, the pricing, and the lack of competition in the area, it's good enough to satisfy. Pro-tip: try to time a visit around the tour buses. We arrived at 1:30PM on a Wednesday to a pretty empty restaurant. Thirty minutes later four entire tour buses unloaded their passengers, who were clearly ravenous due to eating such a late lunch. The restaurant instantly filled up and the line for food stretched down the hall and around the corner. Bathrooms - Plenty of larger rooms with multiple stalls around the hotel

The ribs come with one trip to the salad bar, a big baked potato (not the tiny ones so common in restaurants these days), and a few spears of asparagus. The ribs were meaty with plenty of sauce. It was a good dinner. The buffet has two sections for salad. One didn't have any carrots or beets or other toppings that I wanted for my salad like the other section did, so check out what is in the salad bar before you get in line. There was a lady waiting to refill the mixed green/lettuce, and I offered to let her do it but she wanted to wait until after me even though there were others also waiting. My mixed greens were not the freshest. Buffet had things like macaroni and cheese, potatoes, vegetables, chicken, meatloaf, and desserts.

We waited about 15 mins to get our order taken, and after we placed our order, we waited about 40 mins to an hour for our two burgers and a salad. A larger party that was seated after us was given their food and almost finished it before we were given ours. We actually had to ask a staff member if our order got lost in the queue. We ordered two Rustler's burgers and one Caesar salad. The burgers came with onion rings, barbecue sauce, and cheese, along with fresh lettuce, tomato, and onions on the side. Never have I ever had a burger that was so plain and unseasoned. I don't think they seasoned my burger patty or fries at all. Even the onion rings in my burger were floppy and soggy.

Anyway we walked in and there were about 5 tables having dinner which looked fairly busy. The restaurant was well lit and the decor definitely Western Cowboy. It was a female server that seated us and Jesus, which we learned later was the new manager as of a few months ago. Jesus was our server and very friendly. I got the 14oz ribeye which said it was 'local' on the menu which made it even more attractive. My girlfriend ordered the 1/2 Rack of Pork Ribs (bummed I didn't get a pic) to share with her daughter. Crispy, juicy and fall off the bone delicious. As well, I ended up getting 2 old fashioneds which were $11 each...again decent priced cocktails. I highly recommend this place despite the reviews of the past. I think Jesus had something to do with the more recent high praise reviews being the new manager.
