I recently took my family bowling here last Saturday and it was pretty fun ! The front desk personal Nita's was such a friendly and kind attendant we all enjoyed his service ! However the girl running the food and bar was rude, unfriendly, and I didn't care for unprofessionalism at all .! Because of the unfriendly service at the food court I rather eat someone else ! Customer service is such essential element in every business and all staff should be trained probably in how order to do so. Such a disappointment to have staff represent such a great place ! We just stopped by to say hi to our mom that's on a Monday bowling league here. The blond lady that's working behind the rental shoe counter approached me and proceeded to yell at us for coming in the wrong door when we came in the front door! Then she said we weren't allowed there and said I had to go out the front door, which was the door I came in! She was extremely rude! If I was able to give the place no stars I definitely would but that's not an option. This place has the rudest staff possible only nice one is the bartender. She always sweet and very helpful. But the the blond older lady behind the desk is probably the worse person in this bowing alley, she rude, aggressive, doesn't know how to speak to anyone and plain and simple has horrible customer service skills. I was on vacation in Palm Springs over 4th of July weekend and we decided to go bowling and get out of the hot weather. When we got there we found that the staff was very friendly and Dave helped us out tremendously on bowling balls and what to buy. He was very helpful. I found out he was the manger later that day lol .We asked a lot of questions about the area and never felt like we were annoying tourists lol. Very clean place. The food was great and the Bloody Marys were very yummy. The prices were really reasonable too. I highly recommend this place and will be coming back to bowl. Great job!! High 5 ! read more

Worst experience ever. I usually come to bring my family to bowl every so often and this time happened to be the worst. First was the lady at the counter is doing multiply things that she doesn't ring you up right. We only bought an hour with the family packages and 30min into the hour we did not receive our pizza or pitcher of soda. I went to go ask at the food/bar and we had to wait 30 min because only one person was working the bar. The guy did even know how to make some drinks. He even asked the guy who order in front of me how to make it. My turn and the guy had no idea what i have not received my pizza or pitcher and didn't know how to fix it and told me to ask the counter where I got my shoes. In that case I could of avoided the rest of time of not bowling. The lady at the counter named Karen assumed that we wanted only cosmic bowling and not the family package when we specifically told her we wanted two family packages. She wouldn't refund and just told me to go wait In a 30 min long line again to buy pizza. I would not recommend this place because the employee do not know what they are doing and don't care about the bowlers. Good isn't that great and we are not coming back. Horribly employees. I was pleasantly surprised with how spacious and clean Canyon Lanes was. My family and I were looking for kid-friendly activities since we were staying at Morongo. Canyon Lanes was recommended to us by a friend. It looks a little sketch because the front of the parking lot looks deserted, but we learned that parking is towards the back of the building, which is also where you'll find the front entrance to the bowling alley. There are about 10 lanes on each side, so 20 in total. We got our bowling shoes promptly after paying and were immediately directed to an open lane. We spent $4.50 per game, per person. There is both a bar and a kitchen, so you won't go hungry or thirsty while at Canyon Lanes. Amongst three adults, we ordered a supreme pizza, hot wings (came with a side of fries and celery and carrots), and a pitcher of Coca-Cola. The kids split a grilled cheese, which also came with a side of fries. It ended up being plenty of food for all of us. read more

We came here for a soccer party. We ordered our teams pizzas, took an hour to get them. At least the kids were bowling and having fun. I went to order my none soccer kids drinks, took 20 mins in line to order 4 sodas and 1 order of fries. The lady at the bar was rude. Went back to the party, and 30 minutes pass, no fries. So our party starts to wrap up so I go up to the food area, tell them about the fries, they look super confused, so I just went and got a refund. The guy who gave me a refund was apologetic, but that didn't change the fact that I never got to eat the whole time. They had another soccer party, and a Home Depot party, and league games going on. My first time here, went in to bowl with a bunch of friends, my bowling ball never fit right so Dave (the Manager) took me to the pro shop and fixed my ball and I bowled my best game ever. The food was amazing and arrived promptly, I love that the lanes are split into 2 sections. Heather was very helpful with our shoe rental and very friendly, we reside in Palm Springs and will be back for more bowling They have a full bar and not just your generic snack bar, the menu is pretty extensive. I highly recommend this bowling alley... they have leagues, tournaments and extreme bowling on Friday & Saturday nights... black light bowling with videos sounds fun! Been here a few times and this is a great little bowling alley. The lanes are nice, they have a large selection of bowling balls, both by weight (6lbs.-12lbs.) and hole size (S,M,L), and it's a good deal compared to lanes in the OC. Take the other reviews on here with a grain of salt as some customers can be...demanding. It sounds like the bowling alley is understaffed at times. True, justified complaint. Some people paid for an hour but then wanted more time and were given 5 more minutes as a courtesy. That sounds generous to me. When you are paying for an hour, do you know how long you get to bowl for? 1 hour. If you want more time to bowl, you are going to have to pay for it. Is that unreasonable? Nope. The Canyon Lanes is an old casino that was turned into a bowling alley. This is the nicest bowling alley I have ever been to. It is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The Canyon Lanes has a full bar and our typical bar-type foo- wings, french fries, burgers along with some salads and wraps if you are looking for a little healthier side of eating. The food was decent and the drinks were good. The best part is when traveling in an RV you are able to park and spend the night in the parking lot, which is also in walking distance to the Morongo Casino. read more

The people were nice, understaffed and completely unprepared. Came here for a soccer party and and sat around for an hour for an open lane when we had reservations. We we finally got our lane they gave us a lane that sat empty the entire hour WTF. My food also never came, ordered nachos and chicken fingers, asked for it and it never came so I asked for a refund. I went to canyon lanes on Saturday night and took advantage of the $15 bowling special! Good deal for unlimited bowling 8pm-12am, shoes included. In my opinion it is much more fun knowing you're not rushing through games to get the most of an hr or slowing down to get the most of a single game. We were able to play so many games between the two of us and just have a great date night. The music that played was pretty random and jumped from alternative to 80s to hip hop. It was an interesting vibe though. I'd come back for another night of bowling with a larger crowd. The one downside was that my finger got hurt because of the bowling ball. Came out here randomly because we had coupons for a free game. Since it was "thrifty Thursday" games, shoes, & even hotdogs were $2 each! It's not crowded, it's clean, & service was friendly and attentive. Plus happy hour starts @ 5. We also tried their tots, wings, and shrimp popcorn. Nicely oiled, very competitive league, 9 pin tournament, friendly staff. I noticed that there was a 9 pin tournament to happen the night i visited, with only the intention of playing a few games with the family. Anyways, I thought I'd enter. The staff didn't know if there were more than 48 players participating. They didn't know how long it would take before they did know. They didn't know who was running it really. This was some bad organization on their part. WTF. I paid the $20 entry fee with every intention and desire of participating. It sounded like fun and the first four that placed would win some $$$. I'm always down for that. I have a much better chance at winning in bowling than I did on the slot machines over at Agua Caliente or Morongo. Hmm, anyway. After about an hour at the next door outlets, I came back to play as the lady on the phone told me that they hadn't hit their quota of 48 participants. YAY. I get to play in the tournament. WRONG!! I went over there and there were all kinds of things wrong. Basically, the dude who was running the show told me that he needed to "maintain the integrity of the leauge and tournament" and that because I didn't have a "booked" score, I wouldn't be able to play with any sort of a handicap. I'd have to play scratch. WTH. NOT cool. Christina, my wife, urged me NOT to participate in this tounrnament. I was a little upset at first, with her wanting to change my mind about playing. But, now that I see what he was trying to do, F that. I'm glad I didn't play. Instead, they gave me some free games and my money back. I like the lanes. I love the ventilation system here. I like everything pretty much about this place except for its management and their kind of crappy attitude. The ladies at the desk didn't have any information about this tournament. They weren't able to contact anyone who did know about it. That part had me upset. Other than that, this is a nice lane. They have lots of free parking and a full bar. the only thing i didn't like about this place is that they tell you a price per game, when they really mean price per person. not that big of a deal, and certainly cheaper than paying per hour, but to me a game is a game, not the number of people playing it. i was surprised to find the bowling alley literally split into two sections. at first i thought it was a tiny little 15 lane deal but it turned out to be a decently sized deal with more lanes on the other side. might be useful in keeping noisy teens on one side and the old folks on the other. i also really like that if you are bowling with small children, the bumpers automatically go up and down so that the adults may bowl without them. very cool. read more

Very nice facility, shiny and new. Cheaper than palm springs lanes, too, which makes it worth the drive. The reason they only got 3 stars is because of the service. The alley is complete with a bar and a small kitchen and from what I have seen they have only one person handling everything, and she had nooo clue how to pour a beer. I spent ten minutes or so waiting for shoes and she didnt help me until her manager said something to her, then she came out from her hiding place. Money is one thing the Indians are not short on , so why on thrifty thursday when there are 12 lanes being bowled, cant they hire another person to read more

We payed for two hours of bowling and usually we are able to bowl through two full games in this time period. And due to mechanical errors we were barely able to get through 1 and a half games in a two and a half hour period. The mechanical error was ball return. Customer service was severely lacking. Very family friendly alley. Came on a Monday evening where games were only $1. They had $2 Hotdogs and Nachos and a 1 topping pizza for $10. Pretty sweet deal! The lanes were a little dry and my bowling ball somehow got a gash in it. Staff there were helpful and kept my ball in the hopes to be able to polish it out. We asked for BUMPERS for our niece and the MANAGER himself SAID NO NOT GOING TO PUT THEM ON, ONLY 8 years or younger and said there's a sign and walked away. My first time bowling here was for our leagues sweepers. The lanes are new and the facility is clean. It's a split house so there are 12 lanes on each side. They have snack bar, a liquor bar, and a pro shop too. Oh, and they have slot machines right next to the bar. The lanes are consistent and the oil is perfect for those that either no hook or a lot of hook. If your in-between, you may have trouble with getting tapped. Bowlers in our league had a lot of single pins left after hitting the pocket. Overall the lanes are nice and smooth. Nice place to bowl at.
