Closest safe & decent lodging is Redlands or Calimesa.

There is food, and God knows what splattered all over the walls there are putty patches everywhere, exposed wires and gaping holes underneath a filthy air conditioning unit that doesn't even work and smells rotten like something died in it. the floorboards that go underneath the mini refrigerator are lift with nails. that's another hiding spot for the roaches and pests. there is no closet door. . There is no lighting in the closet. it's just a dark cave. I suppose there's no lighting because they don't want you to see how long it's been since it's been vacuumed, they don't want you to know how it really looks when you open the ripped up curtains with holes in it and let the light come in. There were cockroaches in between the towels that came with the room there were drugs in the lining of the refrigerator door and the Coldwater knob in the bathroom did not work and the tub floor is rusted and chipped. The shower curtain had cockroaches hidden in every fold. The toilet didn't work. And they were shit stuck to the edges. This is unbearable, this place is disgusting. What a nightmare im in! I want my money back. Last night there was a big commotion when I arrived, there were two people in the back of the parking lot near the alley about to fight! And this would have been a murder waiting to happen- is a ridiculous match- comparing the sizes of each of them one being much much larger than the other in the smaller guy begging him to throw fists. The owner just stood out there and watched and threatened to call the cops. I guess the little guy was getting kicked out and didn't wanna leave and brass knuckles guy was telling him to get off the property. That guy is next-door to my room and, it turns out HE is the one who actually does the house cleaning in that motel. He told me that the property owners vacuum is broken and said he was sorry about the bugs. And made a grotesque face when talking about the restrooms and the walls in each room especially after a guest has been in it for a month. He says he is expected to clean that mess let behind, but he admits that he doesn't. He says the property manager lets him live there rent free. Also his house cleaning person next-door to me, is a striker he has firearms and brass knuckles and he sells drugs. He says the manager is COOL WITH IT. I had paid $480 with $100 deposit. Before knowing all of this and knowing the conditions of the place. (I'm sorry) but What the fuck is the deposit for if nobody's doing anything about the conditions here and sickening quality of the rooms?? This motel doesn't even deserve one star!

Finally after calling the manager and explaining either move my room or refund my money he said he would handle it. It did work for the most of the night but returned bright and early the following morning 5am. Around 7pm my boyfriend went to turn on the heater and of course the dial didn't work so he popped the bottom to see if it was lit and there was a freaking syringe ditched in there!!!!!!!!!! Wtf ...since we had already started drinking we didn't want to risk leaving and getting a dui once again we proceeded are night stay (without heat). 5am kids running above us loud stomping and talking. 530 car pulls up right outside of are window and is playing music extremely loud 7 car returns 9 packed are shit and left..... in the parking lot a chick is screaming into a car at another female "i want my money... you gonna give me my money!" In the end this place is not a place I'd ever come back to or even ever bring it up to someone looking for a room. Plus side..... shower was great ...nice and big ....super hot water. Buuuuuut if you shower to long youll turn your entire room in the world most hot boxed matchbox.

Other one thankfully was open and operational. The sinks were gross not sure what someone did in it. Usual trash on floor as a lot of people can't use a trash can. Toilet paper was fully stocked in the stall I used. That's a bonus! Picnic tables all around with shade shelter but in today's rain everything is totally wet. There is a water spigot right in front. The lighting isn't the usual led fixtures so not sure how brightly lit this is at night. Faucets didn't work in ladies room, a few of us tried them. No soap in dispenser but one hand dryer did work. Just bring some hand sanitizer or something. Overall you are not squatting on the ground in the woods but it's not the best rest stop. Just thankful for the facilities while on the road with a tiny bladder. Happy and safe travels everyone.

My husband took the day off of work so that he could help her up to the room. When the manager saw her struggling to get up the stairs, he immediately redirected us to a ground floor room, completely set up for disabled persons, including a LARGE walk-in shower and shower chair! She was able to safely have a hot shower, which she hadn't had in a while because she is unable to use her own. Then, he told us that if we ever had need of the room again to let him know! Our neighbor has had a really rough time as of late and we have been working hard to help her, so to have the Inn's exceptional service to ease our troubles was phenomenal... The room was clean, well set up, and comfy. The location is great because it is just down the road for us and very easy to find from the street, close to the freeway. They have a spa, as well. We didn't use it, but my neighbor was sure drooling over the prospect of it! Thank you soooo much Calimesa Inn Motel for making the start of our long day very smooth and worry-free! Thank you!!!

The men's restroom had human feces on the ground, and the sink area, no paper towels or toilet paper were available, no soap to wash my hands, there were flies everywhere, and I could go on and on, but this pretty much describes the deplorable conditions of this entire place. I felt bad for a mailman who walked in, desperately looking for a toilet, only to take one look around and immediately leave. The sad thing is that there are no restaurants, gas stations, etc I'm in the area for miles, so this poor man was going to have to hold it for who knows how long??
