We got the Chicken Pesto Tortellone and it was hands down some of the BEST tortellone we've ever had. The sauce was pesto Gorgonzola and it was the perfect consistency, usually sauces with Gorgonzola are either too runny or too thick but this was PERFECT. Our waitress spent a ton of time talking to people that have turned into friends that frequently visit and sadly ignored our table most of the evening. It felt like all we did was wait. Drinks were served, then we waited 20 minutes for the waitress to return to take our order. Our food delivered to the table super fast which was unexpected. Then we enjoyed our meal and waited another 20+ minutes for the check. It was ridiculously slow and the restaurant was not crowded. However that speed should have been the red flag as to what kind of pizzas to expect. My wife commented after the meal that they seemed to be a step above frozen pizza, and I think that's an accurate representation. The dough is obviously pre-prepared and more than likely just mass-produced, frozen crust. The topping were fine, however as most know the dough is what really makes a pizza. If we were in a pinch again and needed a quick meal, we'd probably eat here again however there was nothing really to commend about Big Don's Pizza, except maybe the price is good for what it is. In such a heavy tourist town, they could probably get away with charging $15 per pizza and people would pay.
