Lunch in the Colorado River, how can that be bad?? We stumbled on their place while planning for lunch down the road, and glad we found it. The hotel property is gorgeous and too expensive for us to ever stay there, so lunch was a great option. Reasonably priced, great cocktails and killer views.

Our first experience here was excellent. My wife Maria and I have special dietary restrictions. The Chef Mark and the team here helped to accommodate. They didn't just accommodate us but with were over the top with their care and creativity. We consider ourselves knowledgeable enough about good or great dishes. The environment and beautiful views were on par with the quality of food and service. I highly recommend the River Grill Restaurant at The Sorrel River Ranch Spa and Resort. We are already planning a return visit.

Yesterday dinner was pretty good. Today's breakfast was as extremely slow. No refill for coffee, had to ask for children's menu, waffle over cooked, little to no service whatsoever. Today's lunch was worse. Wait an hour for partly solidified Mac and cheese with no side of fruit for kids, 16$ Cobb salad missing half the ingredients listed on the menu (like tomatoes and carrots). Really just disappointed since it's so pretty here and this was a special splurge for us. And dinner was again delicious but service is awful. The chef is amazing but seriously. Maybe hire high school kids who actually want a job.

We had an opportunity to dine at the River Grill at Sorrel River Ranch in October of 2018 and could not have been happier! The views outside the restaurant are UNREAL. Perfect ambiance, perfect drinks, and amazing food. I personally love how they use so much food that is grown locally on property. For example, their Chefs Garden Salad is made 100% from food grown at the ranch. Its beautifully plated and so colorful! We had the NY Strip Steak (as well as steak on the salad) and it was PERFECT. So tender, so tasty, and so masterfully cooked. When you're done with dinner, grab a coffee and sit by the fireplace in the lounge (see photo), or take it outside by the firepit (which is 100% stocked and ready for S'mores!)

This restaurant sits right on the Colorado River and provides a stunning view while you dine. The food is cooked fresh from the farm, and is very good. We ordered the charcuterie board to start and it was delicious! The sourdough bread that is brought out to the table is also incredible. We enjoyed our time here and would recommend the restaurant!

The view from the restaurant is worth the price of gold. The staff is very helpful and always asking if we need anything. This place is worth the trek

Had an amazing lunch here after hiking at Fisher towers. Ambience was perfect - pleasant outdoor patio on the river, fun music playing, pleasant wait staff. Food was delicious! I had the fried chicken sandwich with sauteed vegetables. Some of the best veggies I've ever had. Sandwich was a step up from your average chicken sandwich. A great lunch spot if you're driving up the valley or going for a hike.

We sat at this huge table in the middle, with cactus and succulents and southwest decor about the walls. Not overdone, very desert themed (of course). My wife ordered an omelette and my daughter some pancakes. I went with a biscuit that was huge - friend chicken, bacon, over easy egg, gravy, grilled jalapeños. Hit the spot, it was incredible and everything my breakfast had been missing the previous 43 years of life. Our server was Alyssa, or Alissa - the name was the same both days but spelled differently and 2 different people. Yes, it was so good and fresh and service amazing we went back a second time! I tried a different biscuit, and then and there decided I did not want to ever visit Moab and not eat here. We waited the second time to get a seat, didn't even care. Both servers were amazing, unfortunately I did NOT write their names down and I'm writing a review from a year ago, but the truly had the same name, just different spelling. In fact, our server from our first visit was there with her family as a customer when we were there the second time! As someone who spent my careers in restaurants, that is not only a testament to the quality of the food but also the culture of the establishment: you can't put a price on that. I can't wait to go back!

We got the AM Tacos (with bacon) and the Southwest Bowl (with fried chicken) and an order of Mini-Jacks. The tacos were so good! I asked for a side of green chile sauce and that made them next level. We don't recommend getting fried chicken on the SW Bowl. The bowl was great, but the chicken was only okay. A little tough and chewy and probably not the best choice for that meal. The mini jacks were the star of the show! Fluffy, light, with a hint of sweetness and served with a huge dollop of soft butter. The restaurant was busy, but our service was great and it was a relaxed vibe. Lots of folks looked like they were heading out or getting back from outdoor activities.

I will say the hotel breakfast not sure if it's connected to the restaurant, was really good. Every day they served fresh and varied pastries. The scones, muffins, cinnamon buns were delicious and a great was to start the day. There were also plenty of breakfast food options and served all you can eat buffet style. Lunch: I ate lunch twice here. The first time I had the fish tacos, The plate comes with two hardy sized tacos. The fish is well prepared; with the appearance of a golden breaded crust. Another lunch, I had the RCL burger and boy did that not disappoint!!! It was such a flavorful burger. It was also huge, and I had plenty of leftovers. Dinner: Filet mignon and I ordered broccoli and mashed potatoes to go with the steak. The steak was phenomenal.

Ordered drinks and H2O to start. Waiter suggested a drink, but returned to our table after about 10 minutes advising they were cutting up fresh fruit for the cocktail. He then came back after a few minutes advising they are out of the ingredients for the cocktail he recommended. Ordered a different drink and some chips and cold onion dip along with a draft beer. It took another 10 minutes to get our chips and still no drinks. When the server brought the chips he didn't bring any napkins. I asked for napkins to which he responded. He never brought the napkins. After about 5 minutes I walked to bar to get napkins. The server was still working on the drinks. I grabbed some bar naps and returned to my table. We are still the only patrons in the restaurant so I was confused as to what the server was doing and why I had to serve myself. Chips were good and onion dip was ehhh. Setting was beautiful, but we were denied a table in prime location as they had a hotel party who were coming in during the evening? Place has great potential. Just failed on execution across the board.

The Eggs Benedict are really so delicious. They use a non-traditional hollandaise sauce which, amazingly amped up the flavor of the eggs! And the eggs were perfectly made so that the whites were thoroughly cooked and the yolk was runny. Odd, but this is a difficult thing to get in a restaurant. The meal was served with delicious home fries where the potatoes were moist and flavored. We also ordered a side of their thick bacon, which had a bit of a different flavor - very nice. The bacon was perfectly cooked. We took a chance on the egg scramble, which had lots of promise with the many ingredients listed, but the eggs were overcooked and dry, so the other ingredients couldn't compensate. They served the eggs with a very nice bread for their toast. We almost didn't come here as we only saw the side of the building, which was a very small house looking structure. But as you continue down the street, you can see that they have expanded their restaurant to include the dining area: an "inside" area and a patio area. All of this new structure is glass or plastic windows, they have heating and cooling to accommodate for the time of day and they did a great job of making a pleasant eatery. Everyone we met at the restaurant was pleasant and kind. It was such an enjoyable time. We have a few more days in Moab, so we will be back.
