We love Zax. Have loved it for years and years. We miss the buffet and salad bar though. We've always had the best experience with food, service and atmosphere. You just can't miss.

If you are wondering what to order, there are a bunch of burgers on the menu. We watched a lot of meals be delivered to tables and all the food looked great! It is a large restaurant on one side a bar and on the other lots of tables for all sized groups. The bacon burger is what you want to order as it is large and tasty! My table mate loved it with the fries! The beer cheese soup is made in house and I had high expectations. But I would only rate it a 2 out of 5. Pizza was a great deal as it was the daily special for only 12$ with one topping and comes with honey. Pretty neat as I had never heard of dipping the thick crust in honey but it was delicious. The place is pretty cool vibe and you can tell they have a lot of regulars! Our waitress spent a ton of time talking to people that have turned into friends that frequently visit and sadly ignored our table most of the evening. It felt like all we did was wait. Drinks were served, then we waited 20 minutes for the waitress to return to take our order. Our food delivered to the table super fast which was unexpected. Then we enjoyed our meal and waited another 20+ minutes for the check. It was ridiculously slow and the restaurant was not crowded. So if you have a lot of time and don't mind chilling for over an hour and a half for a meal, this is the spot!

We stopped in for dinner after spending the day at Arches National Park. Fair warning: we had a looong wait before we got a table. It was a holiday weekend, and a Sunday night, AND the place was solid, so I can't really complain necessarily. But if you're starving and need a quick bite, I'd look into getting a reservation if you can or find a place a bit more off the beaten path. However, once we were in it was great! Plenty of TVs on the walls all around to watch sports, your typical sports bar menu, which is great if that's what you're looking for. The servers were very friendly and pretty attentive given how busy it was. Our pizza came out reasonably quick as well, and tasted great. As I said, I would be ready for a wait if you're here at a busy time, but it's a good spot nonetheless! Intestinal Impact Index Rating: 3/5 Pizza and Beer, you aren't quite in the clear

This is a good, family-friendly restaurant in the heart of downtown Moab. It's a big, spacious establishment with a bar area, a patio area, and 2nd level dining area facing the roadside. We came here for dinner. The restaurant was busy but we were able to get a booth table soon. We ordered one 14" pizza with half Spicy Chicken Alfredo and half Sam's Italian Stallion, Garlic Knots, a Clam Chowder, a Fettuccine Alfredo, and a Kiitos Blackberry Sour beer. The beer came first and then the food arrived shortly. The pizza was good. The Italian Stallion was better than the Spicy Chicken Alfredo. The crust was nice. The blackberry sour was very refreshing, the clam chowder was decent, the garlic knots were tasty and the Fettuccine Alfredo was decent as well. The restaurant menu is good, they sell merchandise, their bar is nice and had a good atmosphere. We received good, friendly service. We had a good experience. Check them out.

This place is right in downtown Moab and has beautiful views of the surrounding scenery. It's perfect on a summer night to sit on the second floor patio. For being in a tourist town, the service was super quick and friendly. Food was really good! Portions and prices are perfect!

The service was a bit slow but after a long day I can see why. So many bikers here which was cool. The food was good whe. We got it. The inside was so busy not sure how clean it was.

Stopped in for a late lunch after a nice morning trip to Arches National Park. Decor was nice and the restaurant was clean and spacious. We were a group of 8 and they were able to seat us right away. Pizza is a definite must here and the other reviews raving about their pizza is true! Soooooo good. Unfortunately, I felt we were being rushed to finish and leave. Plates and platters were being taken while we were still finishing up. We don't take up long times at tables because we're a big group and are conscientious for the wait staff to cycle in more people to get more tips so I didn't think they needed to move us out like that. Overall, the food really saved the experience and is why I'm giving a 4 instead of 5.

Food was okay but service sucked! First trying to rush us, not too friendly and didn't care attitude. My favorite "I'm not your server"!

The biggest disappointment was the atmosphere. The bar was packed with people who had clearly come to watch the FIFA Men's World Cup quarterfinals match between Norway and England, yet there was no game audio. Instead, one TV was showing golf while the rest had the match on silently. When we asked, we were told the TVs aren't connected to the sound system. That's understandable, but it was disappointing that management didn't have a backup plan. We even heard SiriusXM sports commercials playing, so it seemed like broadcasting the World Cup radio feed could have been an easy way to create a much better experience. Instead, they played an '80s music station while everyone watched one of the biggest sporting events in the world in silence. It felt like a missed opportunity. With a little more planning, the atmosphere could have been fantastic. As it stands, it's a fine place for food and drinks, but nothing particularly memorable.

There is a drive to get up to the restaurant, and it's alittle tight. If you have a problem with heights, this might be dicey. My daughter and I got prime rib. Both were cooked to our preferred temps, and they came with horseradish and au jus. They also brought sour cream for the baked potato. It's a generous portion, and I was stuffed. I got a side salad and asked for blue cheese dressing. In addition to the blue cheese, I got a lot of chunks of blue cheese. Yummy! My grandkids got spaghetti and cheese pizzas. They enjoyed them and ate good portions (picky eaters). My daughter got creme brulee for dessert and loved it. Our server was very attentive to us, and offered to bring the kids' food out first if it was ready. Our server also had some rocks that glowed under blacklight, and showed it off for the kids. Worth the stop if you are in the area.

Kid at the table behind me was watching cartoons with the volume on the whole time. I wasn't going to say anything but somebody who worked there should have. The vibe was very much Applebees on stilts. I'd say drive up and enjoy the view, but there are plenty of drives and hikes with as good or better scenery. Definitely don't bother eating here though. I would go back if the food was free.

The Eggs Benedict are really so delicious. They use a non-traditional hollandaise sauce which, amazingly amped up the flavor of the eggs! And the eggs were perfectly made so that the whites were thoroughly cooked and the yolk was runny. Odd, but this is a difficult thing to get in a restaurant. The meal was served with delicious home fries where the potatoes were moist and flavored. We also ordered a side of their thick bacon, which had a bit of a different flavor - very nice. The bacon was perfectly cooked. We took a chance on the egg scramble, which had lots of promise with the many ingredients listed, but the eggs were overcooked and dry, so the other ingredients couldn't compensate. They served the eggs with a very nice bread for their toast. We almost didn't come here as we only saw the side of the building, which was a very small house looking structure. But as you continue down the street, you can see that they have expanded their restaurant to include the dining area: an "inside" area and a patio area. All of this new structure is glass or plastic windows, they have heating and cooling to accommodate for the time of day and they did a great job of making a pleasant eatery. Everyone we met at the restaurant was pleasant and kind. It was such an enjoyable time. We have a few more days in Moab, so we will be back.

However, the prices have absolutely skyrocketed. We paid five dollars each for some pretty fair tasting coffee. The omelette I used to order is now close to $20. The portion seemed quite a bit smaller too For breakfast for the two of us it was over 50 bucks. We used to have to wait at least an hour for breakfast but this time there was absolutely no wait. I'm wondering if due to the rising meal costs if that's impacting the number of customers coming in the door. I am not sure if I would come back again in the future, which is such a shame.
