Sorry no pics! We were too hungry and the food was too good! Ordered Brisket, Hatch Chile Mac & Cheese and Cole Slaw. The Cole Slaw was very good, not too gloppy and the cabbage was still crisp. The Mac and Cheese was very tasty. Just the right amount of chiles and not overly saucy. Some might want a more gooey side but was so delicious that I didn't miss the gooey. The Brisket was some of the most tender and tasty I ever eaten and I LOVE Brisket so I've eaten a bit. Staying a nite in Bluff, UT and our options for dinner were limited. Between the gas station and Canton Smokehouse restaurant, we decided to give this a try. Wow! We made such a good choice! This bbq joint has it going on! The beef brisket melted in your mouth, it was so tender. The pulled pork was the same, tasty and juicy. We liked their handmade sauces, house bbq, the Carolina bbq, and the mango habanero. The hatch chile mac n cheese was super flavorful and tasty. We finished our meal with banana pudding, which was freshly made and super moist, and the rich cream cheese brownie which hit the spot! If you need a place to stop and eat, definitely try this place! Dropped in the night before a San Juan River launch and am glad I did. Brisket sandwich was piled high with very flavorful chopped meat - tasty even without sauce. An assortment of bbq sauces are available from mild to habanero and Carolina style. Even the pickle spear was crisp and tasty. Good variety of beers also. Great spot! read more

Stopped in Bluff for the night after visiting Monument Valley. Canyon Smokehouse seemed to be a popular choice for dinner. The pulled pork sandwhich and brisket tacos were delicious! My father unfortunately misplaced his keys while eating. The owner, Erin, was extremely kind and caring. She looked for the keys after closing and texted us multiple times to keep us updated. Although we still have not located the keys, the fact she cared so much about our keys made us feel important. 5 stars for food and service. read more

Wonderful place. House-made barbecue, sauces, and sides -- and even a tasty smoked vegetarian option. Really good food that you'd buy even in a city, and while it's offered at city prices it's not offered at even *worse* than city prices like some of the stuff around it. A far more appealing, friendly, and human place than anything else I found in this beautiful but slightly weird corner of Utah, and friendly folks, too, with none of the slightly hostile attitude toward out-of-towners that I encountered elsewhere in the town (like the incredibly expensive trading post). Great bbq, fast service and delicious food! Not much to eat around the area but this spot really was great! Service was quick and the staff was very friendly. Just opened last week, so we're expecting great things to come as they get their smoker. In the meantime, we've had their brisket, taco salad and their brisket quesadilla. Both excellent...we suspect this will become the locals hang out for good reason. read more

I think Bluff has 4 places to eat. This is the newest. We ordered at the counter and got the brisket nachos and a French dip. A buzzer let us know when to pick up our food. The nachos are enormous and can easily be shared by 2 hungry people or 3 not terribly hungry people. The French dip was on a fresh roll. Soda fountain with Coke products. The service was stellar with employees checking in consistently. This is a fun, casual place to eat a full meal. read more

Hands down the best food we've had near Bears Ears. We will definitely be back. The atmosphere and quality of food are unmatched. We live in SLC and this is the best BBQ we've had in a LONG time and blows anything else in the state that we've had out of the water. If you are in the area - definitely stop by after a long hike and exploring the area. Had high hopes when saw "smoke house". Place was very clean and service good. Unfortunately was disappointed with the end result and glad I didn't order a more expensive entree. Had pulled pork sandwich which was on dry side and totally lacked the Smokey taste of a fine bbq. Bbq sauces were good and liked the house brand which helped give the bbq some moisture and flavor. Don't sleep on the chili cheese fries. Other food items were great but the chili cheese fries were the best. Atmosphere is comfy but sterile and tables are not flat so be careful of your drinks! Service is counter and self pick up. Friendly enough but not personable. read more

Apparently, the restaurant has only been open a couple of weeks. You wouldn't know it, though, by what we ate. The brisket was absolutely tender, and the baked pork ribs were like nothing I have ever had before. We can't wait to try them out next year when we come back. read more

this was the first time and the last time I come to this place to eat, honestly the only thing that I like about some of the foods was the (bake beans and the rips was 5 stars) but the chicken was it great, not cooked good the corn bread was, hard and not flavor also the potato salad was but much vinegar had no taste to it the food was ver poor was not worth the prices at all. read more
