Amazing ambiance, great food, and such good cheesecake! Such a good spot after snowboarding

The Curran family has been skiing at eagle point since they opened, 16 or 17 years ago ( I think), and the people here are effin amazing!!!! Kurt, welcomes you like you are family, and he still remembers mine!! And the no lines are the schizzle baby!!! I left a review in 2012 for canyonside because my youngest Alex and were waiting for my hubby an 2 sons to meet us , but they took so long, and Alex and we're starving but I only had enough cash for chicken stripes or fries not both. Our beautiful waitress said don't worry I got you Alex ill make up the difference! And she did and when they joined us I paid her back and then some. Cut to 2025, my husband drank too much, And Blake, bartending at Canyonside, and Owen walked him to the cottages! Who does that? Just the very best people who are genuinely nice, and when circumstances call, help their fellow man out! I cannot say enough! Bottom lodge restaurant at Eagle Point Resort. We boarded to the bottom because we felt it might have been less crowded than the top of the mountain lodge. Our waitress Jennifer was extremely friendly and attentive. Exceptional customer service. We ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch Potato Skins, Beer Battered Chicken Tenders, and the Canyonside Burger. The food was delicious for being located in a ski lodge. We've visited a few resorts and this food exceeded our expectations. Ask to try the Spicy Honey sauce with your Chicken Tenders. Love this place. Jimmy and Kira were incredible. Had a ton of laughs with them and they treated us and the other tables so warmly! The food is incredible, great portions and the quality is top notch. All the sauces and dressings were fresh and some of the best I have had. The only bar/restaurant on the mountain, any of the new places opening in the coming years will have big shoes to fill. We are building a place here, food and service like this makes it that much better! read more

Food is great. The sweet potato fries are amazing. We had a party of 8 and everyone was totally happy with their meals. This is my 3rd time eating here and I'm yet to be disappointed. Give it a go. read more

Service was not bad. The prices are outrageous. Menu doesn't align with why you come here. We came here to snowboard and not for a limited menu of a $37 salmon or fine dining attempt. I had a $22 burger. When it came out, it was the only thing on plate. No fries. Kids had $23 Alfredo, add $8 for chicken, come on guys. You want the dining room empty like it is, or full of life and people like it should be. Very disappointed. read more

I give this place 5 stars because for it being the only restaurant within a 15-mile radius of Eagle Point Ski Resort, it has exceeded my expectations of a ski resort restaurant. Jen was our server and she was fantastic both times we dined there. She made sure we had everything we needed (ranch, especially) and she kept checking on us throughout the meal. That lady needs a raise and a promotion! The food was also very good. I had a gyro for lunch and a burger for dinner and onion pearls (OMG, whoever came up with these things is a legend). I also had some of the Alfredo pasta with chicken which was also very flavorful. We had dinner here after a day of skiing. I would not recommend it. This place is over priced. The food is very average. I ordered the Alfredo pasta it was $23.00 and a microwave pasta would be better. The staff are nice and are trying but it does not reflect the prices. Other food that our group ordered was very average. Parsnip fries we cold and soggy. Steaks were cold. Don't waste your money! read more

Good food. Good beer. Good live music. No sour beers but really enjoyed my Bloody Mary. Extra spicy. Make sure to order no meat if you do not consume bacon! Good spot to post up after shredding the day! High top tables, darts, TVs. I'll be honest, as a southern Californian, I feel judged drinking in Utah. It's strange, the bar is completely separate from the lodge (even frosted windows) which makes me feel a little like a heathen but hey, it's Utah. Service is a little slow and I'm not sure they would give me a third drink haha but happy this place exits. read more

Honestly... this makes me sad writing this review. But great business' like this need it. I walked in on the night of Jan 24th. There wasn't one person sitting in the main restaurant and the guy walking out of the bar looked like he worked there, but walked right past us. I asked if they were open (the open sign was on, but I was confused that he didn't greet us or anything) he slightly turns to us and in a very sarcastic way, says... "ya" and keeps walking away. We sit down in the bar area to order drinks, realizing this guy is not friendly - in the slightest. I am a bartender, and have been in the service industry for over 10 years. It takes a lot to make me as angry as this guy made me last night. It took forever to make our drinks... which, wouldn't bother me usually. I have patience. But it was a vodka soda and a rum and coke. With one other person at the bar. Not sure what took so long but anyways... when he dropped the drinks off, I said thank you so much, which his response again was "ya".... and the tone. My gosh, his tone, I have no idea what people like him (bad day or not) are doing in the service industry. When it was time to order, we had a huge order to make since we were bringing food back to our cabin for our kids. He just stood there. I asked if he wanted to write it down... he said "nope". So, we gave our food order. At one point he asked what side I wanted with one of the entrees but because we checked out the menu online I didn't get to read it very well, and I wasn't sure, so I asked what sides they had. He snapped at me, so annoyed - "you get two ok", and he labeled a few off really fast. I finally said "well I apologize for not knowing that, geese" - no sorry, or apology or anything back for losing his patience. This is when my niceness and patience for him went out the window entirely. I was no longer going to be nice to someone who was so awful. When I am the customer, and I did nothing wrong. He walked away to put our order in, and as he walked by us again, he tossed - yes TOSSED - did not set - our check on the table. Never asked if we wanted another drink. Never asked "would that be all?". At this point my boyfriend had to calm me down from completely losing it, because we were worried something would happen to our food. We finally got our food, and we were so torn on tipping. I wanted to tip him nothing but knew that the cook deserved something. Our bill came to $173 and we decided he deserved nothing, but left 10% to be nice. We left quickly. When we arrived at our cabin, we realized we didn't get our chicken tenders meal, or both of our chili orders. I called 3x without an answer and decided not to drive down because we couldn't stand to deal with that guy. We just threw $37 down the drain for items we never received. Should we have checked before we left? Yes. But we just wanted to get the heck away from that miserable guy. Our steak had wonderful flavor, but we ordered medium rare and it came almost blue. Barely brown on the outside and raw on the inside. I couldn't eat it, but my boyfriend ate some. We've been there before and had exceptional service. The food is great, and we want a place like this to thrive. But people like him ruin it for places like this. They would be much better off without a grumpy, rude employee like him. We all have our bad days, but it's a bit different in the service industry. Because of him this review really deserved a 1 star. read more
