This is a fun place to go to. I've been here a few times and have always enjoyed myself. The service is great, and there's an overall great vibe. I don't eat red meat or pork, so I can't speak for their burgers or anything, but I'm a big fan of their chicken melt. It's a grilled chicken sandwich that comes with american cheese and sauteed mushrooms and onions. Really good. Their fries are great, too, as well as their portion sizes. I always take home leftovers when I'm here. Check this place out next time you feel like some good bar food. read more

Why is the photo for this of the ugly ass Coliseum? Why? Anywho, Canz is a decent place. The windows are wide open on nice evenings, there's some seating (not enough for the entire bar but okay). The wings smelled delicious. There was a bouncer when we visited but he never asked for ID. We couldn't get right up to the bar so a barmaid actually came around and took our order. The service here is great in that regard. The beer selection is okay. Most of the beers come in cans (get it?). The barmaids cannot pour a Guinness to save their life. I watched them attempt to do so for another customer and it was sad.....So sad. Plenty of TVs but they're all showing the same thing. Music is an okay mix. Good for beers and bar food - that's about it. Came to check this place out with one of my boys. Seems like the locals frequent here because of the girls working here. All the girls were very friendly and they get a 5/5. My steak came out medium rare as asked for and was pretty good. The steak was definitely supermarket grade though. Nothing wrong with it because it was cooked to my liking. However, the vegetables were something out of bag and weren't edible in my opinion. Definitely ruined the steak for me. I wish the vegetables were homemade and cooked well. Atmosphere - drunk guys and pretty girls to serve you. Lots of beers which is awesome and mediocre food. Their Business model is similar to Hooters, and Tilted Kilt, in that cute waitresses and barmaids in skimpy pin up outfits will be your servers. I could think of worse business models. I have visited this Canz location quite a few times, solo and With Friends. I love it here. I was their customer of their bar in Patchogue but alas that one is no more. I continue in the tradition of being a Canz customer and come here to Westbury. The decor here is similar to a guys garage or "mancave" with all different types of metal canz on shelves and sports memorabilia.. and lots of wood trim, to make you feel at home. All over the bar are big screen TVs, positioned for your sports viewing pleasure. Big garage doors located in the front of the bar which open up weather permitting which expands the bar to include all of the sidewalk where tables are set-up. Hey cheers! There's no bottles here just cans for your beer! They're really serious about their Canz thing here, as you will not find a bottle in the entire place. There are only cans and draft beer served here. Once I got a tall neck bottle of Bud, but then I saw that the bottle was metal. I always like to sit at the bar here, I usually get their big giant fried chicken finger appetizer. This appetizer features oversized pieces of chicken, crunchy and great with the cold beer. It was funny the barmaid asked me would you like the Chicken Fingers grilled or fried? (Yelp tip)- Grilled chicken fingers in a sports bar come with an automatic revocation of your man card. The guy next to me got a full rack of the barbecue ribs, which looked really good. That will be my next choice on my next visit. The cute barmaids here at Canz were very good at maintaining the attention of their clientele and getting them to order more beers. I also had a second beer. Canz was crowded as I arrived, rocking and rolling, the place was alive. Canz Westbury serves the Carle Place, Westbury and Garden City area as a local bar where a lot of neighborhood folks hang out. I've made friends and had a great time here. Parking is free in a private lot and it fills up fast. My tall neck can of Bud was really cold, I drunk it down quick so it didn't get old. What is there not to love about canz? Silicone titties - and beer. Let's be real here- the name of the place pretty much sums up what you get here- canned beer and silicone breast-esses. Canz is trying to run with the Hooters idea- cute chicas serving you run of the mill bar foods and hoping you will be mesmerized by the fake tans and silicone to overlook the fact that this is nothing more than any other gimmick out there. The place is large- it is in the old Laguna Grill location, and I doubt it will be able to pay the rent on the space for long- it is just too busy a road for a load of frat boys and divorced dudes to get tanked and drive away from. The help was ok- the girls certainly lived up to the "canz' moniker but why they would chop themselves up at such a young age is retarded. My buddy couldn't resist and asked our bartender if they were real - her reply: "they're new". My experiences have been positive for the most part. It's a great sports bar with good food. Paul and Patty and Tori are all great. I've recently become disenchanted by the attitude of some of your bartenders. I was there a few nights ago and went to pay my bill which was approximately $36. I paid cash and gave her $40. She made no move to give me my change and seemed visibly unhappy when I asked for change of $20. I think she fully expected a $24 (67%) tip. Lately I've been experiencing that a lot of the bartenders are somewhat spoiled and have a sense of entitlement. What's more,if you're not a direct source of income for them at the moment, a lot of them won't even say hello to you even if you say hello first. It gets pretty tiresome. PEOPLE NOTICE. read more

Canz is one of those local sports bar/restaurants that I feel like a lot of people know about but also a lot of people don't know about. Its somewhat of a hidden gem if you're out late night and cant find somewhere to go a grab a drink or a little bite to eat. They have a full bar and restaurant menu. They have an entire menu dedicated to different types of shots if you're really trying to have a great time lol. They also make a few fishbowls for the super drinkers that want to take on a giant sized drink and get carried out at the end of the night. The employees are really nice. I've come here a handful of times and never had a horrible experience. My last trip here was probably the best because I got to try more food than previously and I had a really nice waitress who was able to manage our table as well as help out behind the bar. We decided to do shots and she even joined us lol. If you're looking for somewhere to hang out with a couple of friends and get a few drinks, or even watch a game then I would come here. Canz is an under appreciated spot to take in a big local sporting event. Tables open all throughout last night's Giants-Eagles game. It's a prototypical sports bar with great beer selection, waitresses that are easy on the eyes and yummy eats, mostly fried and/or cheesy. We destroyed some loaded nachos with chicken and guacamole, then the chicken sandwiches (mine a yummy moist club and my sidekick's was a Mexican inspired version). No room for dessert. Needs mentioning that while all three servers were attractive young ladies, this "breastaurant" employs one particular young lady who will distract you from the pain of your team losing more than others. Lastly, the prices for this kind of fare is very fair here when compared to others of the genre. read more

Despite the mixed reviews on yelp I wanted to give this place a try and I'm honestly glad I came. My friend and I walked in and this young man greeted us come to find out it's the owner of the bar. I told him I found the place on yelp and he commented " wow and you still came" I laughed but I told him sometimes the reviews don't stop me. He was very down to earth he even came to our table to check on us and we actually had a good small conversation. When's the last time you went to a bar and the owner came and chatted with you? But anywho it's a bar not a 5 star restaurant so come here get some great drinks for a decent price and just enjoy the night. She asked me how I'd like it... so I normally order it medium rare or medium. I asked for medium this time. When the burger came after somewhat of a longer wait then expected... it was well done. It didn't taste like they even seasoned the meat (s&p)... I was just hungry so I ate half of it. I come here often for happy hour just because it is convenient for my coworkers, but the service is horrible. Not sure why. There are 7 of us here at the time being, but it seems that the service is not up to par. We come here once a week at minimum. Unfortunate because we come here often. Went here and it was karaoke night, which is fine and usually enjoyable except for the fact that they had the speakers turned up so high that i had to repeat my order 3 times to my waitress before she could hear it. And had to leave before my meal came because of a pulsating headache. It's a shame because it seemed like a decent place but the fact that the speakers were so loud you could hear it from the parking lot will keep me away for good. I travel for work and the hours are ridiculous so when I find a spot that is open late with food that's a plus* good menu other than easy appetizers* full bar* and alright prices* that's automatically 4 stars from me... the fifth is simply based on service!
