I ordered the lunch special. It was $10.99. I went with the boneless BBQ wings that took 20 min to come out and were over cooked. I then ordered a Cheese Burger without tomato and cooked Med along with a 1/2 iced tea and 1/2 lemonade. I can tell you that the drink mix was made wrong and was absolutely terrible. The Burger came out raw in the middle so I had to send it back to be cooked longer. It also came to the table with tomato on it even though I ordered it without. I new by how fast it came back they must of stuck it in the microwave. The waitress was very busy talking and not really paying attention to the tables. I should've reviewed this place last year and not come back. Our swim coaches association comes here between prelims and finals in April the past couple of years and I for one will not be back. They open at 11:30 and were expecting us. 7 swim clubs with an average of 5-6 coaches each so 40ish people give or take sitting in small groups at different tables. Our appetizer serving dishes and individual plates were never cleared from the table nor were our empty drink cups. A few in our group never got the glass of water that they requested several times. The food is unappetizing too. Two coaches from another group had a tray of drinks spilled on them and their full glasses went smashing onto the floor and up onto their uniforms off a service tray. And the ladies room was atrocious with one of the two stalls having no toilet paper (dispenser was hanging off the wall as the duct tape had come loose) and the other had one roll and some urine that wasn't fresh crusted around the bowl. No paper towels. Really dirty for just an hour into service. Last year the service was also unacceptably slow and the food abominable as well. Coaches getting stomachaches a little bit into finals. Those in charge of our group have come back for the convenience to the aquatic center but I personally will not return. To the management I'd say have some pride, be prepared and make some changes. read more

Have eaten here a few times, decent pub food with a creative Maryland twist, but a recent delivery order completely soured my experience and the terrible customer service when I called the restaurant made it even worse... We ordered a chicken cobb salad with honey mustard, but what we got was a bundle of leaves missing half the ingredients, and most notably, the CHICKEN! No one reached out that they were out of chicken (if they were). corporate SUCKS!! Worst CEO who completely ran this whole entire place into the GROUND. Had us working with no heat for 8 weeks when the weather was 20 degrees and didn't even care one bit. Didn't pay the guy who ended up finally fixing the heat, didn't pay vendors, didn't pay the people who plowed the whole entire parking lot when it snowed.. the list goes on and on. They don't care about their employees and definitely don't care about their customers. There's no longer any in New York but I would avoid going to ANY Greene Turtle. Our family went there last night 12/7/25, we were 8 adults, 4 kids and 1 infant. We had a reservation made on Thursday. We get seated, settle the kids and when we go to place drink order, we're told oh sorry our liquor license expired so no alcohol. Why didn't the host when we made reservation mention this?? It gets worse, we are then told sorry we have no heat!!! They put us in side room with space heaters. Again why not mention when we got there?? Manager never comes by, and yes we could have left but they waited until we were seated and kids were ready to eat...no common courtesy! And to top off this most horrible experience, FOUR people got sick hours later.. horrible digestive issues, 3 were children. We will never visit that location again! read more

So in terms of the inside of the restaurant, it's certainly not bad looking. I do like the concept of a TV at each booth, but that's all that's going for the restaurant. For a place that isn't so busy, the waitress sure does take a while to come around. I ordered the Caprese Chicken Pasta. The penne pasta was dry. Just reheated pasta from the microwave. Trust me, I think we all know what leftover pasta taste like and the texture. There was barely any pesto sauce on it. My friend asked me for more sauce, but that pesto sauce was tasteless. The grilled chicken ontop was definitely leftover and reheated. I'm certain that they took the grilled chicken, slapped on top some fresh mozzarella pre-sliced from the grocery store, microwaved it a bit just enough to heat the chicken and melt slightly the mozzarella, and then squeeze some balsamic glaze on top. I could've made exactly this, if not better than what they provided. My friend got some trio thing with their "all natural" wings which I'm sure were also grocery store bought, the fried shrimp, and the slamburgers. They accidentally gave her fried pickles instead of shrimp at first. Instead of letting her keep the fried pickles, the waitress pulled the whole dish from her to replace them with the shrimp. Why not just let her keep the dish and then serve the shrimp after? What a waste of perfectly good fried pickles. Maybe calling them perfectly good is being too complimentary. The fried shrimp I'm sure was fine, but I'm sure was not made by an actual cook. The slamburgers were top tier awful. The buns were freezer burnt and the burgers had patties thinner than McDonald's ever did. Covered with mustard and onions. I thought I was having a hotdog more than anything. Even White Castle ain't this bad. My friend even asked for new buns for the burgers because of how bad the texture was due to the freezer burn. I also wanted to add that when they switched out the fried pickles with the shrimp, the burgers had a little bit more grease on them than the previous dish. So I guess the cook is very messy. Even left the bun with mustard on top of it by accident. The experience was pretty bad, but they tried to sweeten the deal with a free dessert. Honestly, I would've preferred that they cover the whole $40+ meals and offer an option of a dessert with pay. The dessert was really good, but we all know they never made it. Will I return back to this turtle? Definitely not. You give customers a $40+ bill of garbage food and then treat them with a free $10 dessert. That's really not right. As well as the greed of not simply letting the customer keep the food you gave them by mistake. Again, the booth with a TV was a cool concept, but the controls on the wall don't even work. There's a control on the back of the TV that does. I think what bothers me the most is the fact that they are literally next to a Sonic and Wendy's. I would've had less of my time wasted eating bad food and just went to one of them and had better food at half the cost with a lot more speed of getting me my food. This turtle needs to head back to the water. This is a place I'd expect Gordon Ramsay to rip apart on Kitchen Nightmares. read more

I absolutely loved this place! My friends met up for dinner. They sat the five of us and were very friendly and accommodating. My friends are obsessed with the crab dip (I tried it, but I don't really like seafood, so it wasn't my cup of tea). The burger I had was insanely good, and all my friends' entrees also looked tasty as heck. The drinks menu is really good too. Great place for burgers, wings, pretzels and more! Can't wait for sports to come back so I can enjoy their food with my favorite games on their many TVs! Stopped by here on Father's Day. We have been here many times before and always found service and food very good. Unfortunately not on Dad's day, we asked politely to sit at a high top in the bar section. Upon which the bartender snapped at us that we would have to walk back to the hostess desk and get menus. No hello, no greeting, nothing!! I walked back and got menus. At which time the bartender went back to speaking with a regular at the bar, (as she did the whole time that we were there!) upon ordering I asked if there were any food specials; she said no! I looked at t/ menu and she was incorrect, they have a combo meal special which includes a shareable and a main course. When I asked if we could order the combo meal special? She said, "I guess." Bartender even rolled her eyes at the regular sitting at the corner of the bar as if we were the problem. Again we were polite and friendly. Not sure why she was upset with throughout the evening, it made us very uncomfortable. Service and attitude were poor. We did nothing to deserve it. Very disappointed!! read more

So we were at the Hofstra fall festival and NeYo preformed and we worked up a serious hunger. When we got to the turtle they were busy but we were sat right away. Our server greeted us and we ordered drinks and some apps. The place was loud and busy which was great and we had our own tv that we could change the channels right in our both which is pretty cool in my opinion. But then we waited and waited for food. Had to be at least twenty minute and all of a sudden our dinner showed up before our apps. So they quickly rushed our apps out we ate them all. Also our servers was busy and we had to wait for drink refills at times but he handled it well when asked. The food was really good. We had the pretzels with beer cheese and the cheese sauce was super good. We also had mozz sticks which were just boxed mozz sticks but upper hot and fresh. I had the brunch burger and it too was really good. The wife had a Philly and it had the same beer cheese which was great. My son had the Buffalo chicken sandwich and it looked good. Daughter had the tender and tots and the chicken is hand dredged looked super good. My other son had the beyond burger and it got good reviews. Anyway I'd go back and I'd recommend this place but just don't Be in a rush and definitely have the beer cheese. Ps-when I checked in Yelp gave us a free app! As we have been here before and previously had positive experiences, we called ahead for a large group as we had tickets somewhere near by afterwards. Two days before when we made the reservation for a group of 13 people over the phone (including 5 children and a 6 month old) there was no mention that the liquor license had expired and they had no heat! We showed up, and they immediately seated us. Still not mentioning they could not serve alcohol and didn't have heat. The host who sat us did ask how old the baby was, so he was concerned about the baby tolerating no heat, but still didn't say it wasn't working. They whisked us into a room with space heaters, which was appreciated, but if we were told it would be so cold we immediately would have went somewhere else. Until we tried ordering a glass of wine, was when we were told about how they were unable to serve alcohol. When we questioned why it wasn't mentioned when we called two days before , or on the way in, the waitress said it was on a sign when we walked in. We came in with a large group and were seated immediately, the sign was not something we noticed or stopped to read as we were brought to the back. When I went back to check the sign and see what I missed, it was not very noticeable. And when someone else came in and asked what was happening here, I told them there's no heat or alcohol. And when someone who worked there overheard me she rudely said "no one is forcing you to stay", to which I walked back to my table. Of course we could have left, but we just brought in 6 kids , who were now out of their jackets and starving so we stayed. All of these red flags should have sent us running, 3 children and 1 adult has been very sick with digestive issues since we left. It's such a shame, we have dined here multiple times and always had a positive experience , but obviously things have changed. The waitress could not have apologized more, and she did get the manager to give a 10$ discount. But no manager ever came out to talk to us at all. I don't go to restaurants much anymore but I had the chance to meet a friend and come to the Green Turtle so I decided to try it out. We got an awesome deal on our meal because we got a free app for checking in on yelp. I had a coffee and the stuffed jalapenos. My friend had the apple pecan salad with fried chicken and root beer. The service was a little slow but it was nice to talk to my friend and hang out with her. Our waiter was awesome he was courteous and really nice. His name may have been Bruno but I am not 100% sure. They didn't have some food items available because of the pandemic. They decided not to order certain things in case they might have to shut down or just do curbside service. It's understandable and I can most definitely forgive that situation. The coffee was good, I get so nervous ordering coffee at places it's either good or weak as all hell, this coffee was good. They listed certain things on the menu as gluten free which was good because I didn't have to ask. The stuffed jalapenos were pretty good and if you're following keto they were 0 carbs! Bacon and cheese on top of jalapenos dipped in sour cream, can't go wrong with that! I'd come back here again, nice little place! There was a $10 charge for the fight which we knew bc we called ahead that they would just add to our check and gave out wrist bands. Not sure what happened but this is one of those cases of it ain't what it used to be. I've been to GT many times before and always found the food tasty and the portions generous. The staff were still super friendly and accommodating but the food has slipped hardcore. Paltry size piece of chicken on the california chicken sandwich - the kid's cheeseburger my son got was noticeably larger. Crabcake sandwich equally small as were the portions of fries all around. Everything was fresh for sure, but the taste wasn't there, it was all just meh and left us doubtful we'll be back. Shame because it used to be quite good as chain restaurants go. read more

I was drawn to the name, I confess. I had to have the Greene Turtle Beer. I tried the pale ale and Indian ale. I liked the pale ale better. Our waiter Matthew was super attentive and even checked up on me when I wasn't drinking my beer, asking if I liked it or not. It seems like they are known for their fish tacos and crab, but I decided I wanted something heavier. I chose the Cajun pasta with shrimp and it was good. Creamy, seasoned and typical Alfredo style.
