Right off Hallandale beach Blvd, this CAO has a 24 hour drive thru . There is decent seating inside and selection isn't as big as Fort Lauderdale location but the quality is the same as other location . CAO is great if you're looking for good priced Cuban pastries, coffees, and sandwiches. CAO, which stands for Cuban American original, is now franchised and in several locations around south Florida. Most of the staff here only speak Spanish but thankfully they have a lot of labels and photos of their food.

My mom brought me here and I loved it. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Great place for breakfast. The scrambled eggs took a while. Egg sándwiches were quick. Good coffee. Great value for what you are getting. Got the flan cheesecake...it was on point I will be coming back. We Need this in Maryland!!

Pleasantly surprised. CAO provided delicious, pastries, and colada. I was skeptical about this establishment, because of years growing up on these types of items. I don't like visiting places that don't prepare them well. CAO pleasantly surprised us. We ordered a guava cheese pastry, a spinach empanada, and a colada. The colada was absolutely delicious and prepared exactly as we wanted it. We always ordered less sugar than how cafe's normally prepare it . The spinach empanada was stuffed as it should be. I hate ordering empanadas and you're left feeling deflated because they're only quarter way filled. But not here, it was nice and full. As was the guava and cheese pastry. Both items were filled evenly and fresh. We went through the drive through which provided speedy service where we also found out that it is open 24 hours, perfect for the area. If you're reading this and are in the area it wouldn't be a visit wasted. Side note , check out the attached photos ... but don't mind my nails lol had to head to the shop. Jajaja enjoy!

Open on Thanksgiving and saved us from not having a dessert at the party! They had tons of great options so we went with a pumpkin cheesecake! I'm sure it will be a hit.

Food was good as always and the drive thru line moved swiftly . Everything I wanted was available and very tasty ! The only issue was that the bagel sandwich was fairly large and should have been cut in half - otherwise all good on this visit - back soon !

The wrong sandwhich and barely any egg. Just a pure lack of caring. They they expect a tip at a drive thru

Asked very clearly for a breakfast croissant sandwhich. They asked ham or bacon I said ham. They act like their take your order then give you whatever they have sitting around leftover. When I got to work it's a tostada sandwhich with bacon egg and no cheese. Clearly there is an issue in the kitchen or with the people taking the orders. Almost like they do it on purpose cause they don't like certain people.. I ask for jugo de manzana and I get orange juice then tell them I asked for apple juice and they have some attitude.. even when you speak Spanish if they don't like you they don't like you.. the ambiance I wouldn't know because I don't go inside

Sandwich's are great. Cuban sandwich was perfect. Got a piece of carrot cake. Delish! I will try the breakfast tomorrow.

Finally checked this place out. It's your Cuban bakery, which you can drop in, grab a good sandwich, breakfast lunch and dinner. Pick up an assortment of pastries for the office or any occasion. I love that they have variation. The place is very clean and well maintained. Super fast service. Done in or take out, they offer both. Downside this is wayyyyy over priced for your typical Cuban spot. When a 25 piece assortment is usually $8 dollars his places charges $13. Holy smokes. I get the cost of location and inflation but come on. The glaze on the pastelitos were a bit much but honestly that's just personal preference. I love that they do their own thing. This month they are exploring lobster croquettes... yum! I didn't try it right now because I'm in route to the beach but I'll be back to give an update. #thankmelater

Avoid the drive thru. Only had one car in front of us and had to bail after 10 min of no progress.

With its legion of servers in erstwhile suits, it was the spot of a lot of early business lunches. Fast forward twenty plus years, while that particular one is no longer open, I've heard from a few good yelp friends who share the love of this spot. I found myself near this one this week, and had the chance to stop in and grab a bite. The ambiance is as much a senior family friendly vibe as I can remember. The waiters did come around to see if I needed any condiments or refills. As far as food, I enjoyed essentially a Thanksgiving lunch. The roasted red potatoes had a good texture, though they could have used some gravy. My corn side was smooth grained and lightly sweet. The turkey and stuffing was a decently sized lunch portion. Next time I'll ask for a little more cranberry though. My highlight was their cherry cobbler that had a fluffy base and was loaded with fresh strawberries and whipped creme. A friend recommended their fried chicken; I'll try that next time for a little more flavor perhaps.
