Cuban bakery and coffee shop. Huge variety pastries, cakes, and appetizers. Loved the Cuban coffee. Quick customer service

This past weekend, my friends and I stopped by CAO to grab lunch. They always have good food and the service is great. We basically all were in the mood for a Cuban sandwich! They have a great selection of sandwiches, pastelitos and wraps. But I prefer a good Cuban sandwich myself. And the a cafecito. Easy parking. Wheelchair accessible parking and entrance.

I love coming here. But again, if you don't really speak Spanish, you feel a bit intimidated. With my little Spanish and English, I communicated my order. Now they have my favorite, croquetas de bacalao! So, I got ham and bacalao. They were not so hot but had a great flavor. My only complaint..... I wish my cafe con leche was hot. It was like warm. They have this cool point system that you can use them towards their food.

Love this spot! They have restrooms towards the back. Spacious inside and some tables too. There's a plethora of different things you can get. But my eyes set in three things. Guava bread, cheese bread, and the ham or meat rolls. Reminiscent of the bakery down in LA Porto's, this was the very spot I got put in guava bread and was ecstatic when I found a similar version in LA. Now it needs a branch in San Francisco! I'd be extra esssited and happy to have em here in the city. Love the goods and how there's a Yelp check in for a free tasting if a pastry of your choice! Service was great, just missed one of my order, bet cuz it was pretty big. Got that fixed ASAP. Thank you oh and the Cuban coffee shots are so fun! Always look forward and recommend the spot to others when they visit Miami.

The menu is extensive, offering so many authentic Cuban favorites that it can be hard to decide what to order. I've been here multiple times, and honestly, I haven't had a single dish that I didn't enjoy. Everything I've tried has been flavorful, satisfying, and worth coming back for. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, so even though it's popular, it does a great job accommodating guests. The lively atmosphere adds to the overall experience and gives you a true taste of Miami's Cuban culture. Don't leave without stopping by the bakery next door! It's the perfect way to end your meal, with an incredible selection of pastries, desserts, coffee, and other sweet treats. Even if you're already full, it's worth grabbing something to enjoy later. My husband ordered the picadillo with rice and black beans, my son had the vaca frita with rice and black beans, and both enjoyed a side of tostones. I chose the rionada with congrí and sweet plantains. Overall, the food was delicious, flavorful, and satisfying. The only disappointment was the tostones. They were a bit bland and not as crispy as we prefer. Everything else, however, was excellent. The service was outstanding; friendly, attentive, and efficient, even with the restaurant packed. Every area was bustling, from the dining room to the bakery and takeout counters, yet everything seemed well organized. The restaurant itself was clean and very well maintained. To finish our meal, the three of us shared a flan, and it was absolutely delicious; the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. I have to admit, we were enjoying our conversation so much that I completely forgot to take pictures! That's probably a good sign that we were too busy enjoying the food and each other's company. Versailles remains one of Miami's iconic Cuban restaurants, and it's definitely a place worth visiting. We'll certainly be back.

We started with the grilled octopus, which was absolutely outstanding and one of our favorite dishes of the night. I also ordered their take on a Moscow Mule, and it was refreshing, well-balanced, and delicious. For the main course, we shared two of the specials--the red snapper and the meat platter. Both were excellent, and the portions were generous enough to comfortably feed our group of six. The atmosphere is what really makes this place special. The live Cuban music, energetic entertainment, and vibrant ambiance create such a fun and memorable experience. Our server was attentive, friendly, and helped make the evening even more enjoyable. A couple of things to know before you go: reservations are definitely recommended because the restaurant is very popular, and tables are limited to a two-hour seating. If you'd like to continue the night, you can always move over to the bar, which keeps the great energy going. If you're looking for authentic Cuban food, fantastic cocktails, and a lively night out, Café La Trova is absolutely worth visiting!

I think she stole our table from someone else because shortly after someone came and we told them we put our order in and he seemed a little bothered. Unfortunately, our other server disappeared and never checked up on us. We pretty much didn't have any napkins during our entire duration of our meal. At least that part was good. We started off with a couple of mojitos and their Vaca Frita Tostones. You get these homemade maduro tostones topped off with shreeded beef in a moon sauce, pickled onion, and aji Amarillo aioli. A very delicious dish that didn't last long. Shortly after we received our main dish. I really hate when they do that. My wife ordered their Abuelas Ropa Vieja and I ordered their Masa de Puerco Chino. My wife didn't really care for her dish much. We've had plenty of Ropa Vieja before and would have preferred a congri type of rice as opppsed to just plain white rice. My dish was 10/10. Like in the name of "chino" this is an Asian inspired dish with fried rice, maduros, pineapple confit and crispy pork. A very delicious dish. It could have don't without the little salad on top, but at least it ads color to the dish. The crispy pork tasted so amazing and the fried had so much flavor. Mix in some of the maduros and you get a sweet and savory dish. Would definitely be returning to try this dish again.
