#6. 2 eggs. Home fries. Toasted Cuban bread and cafe con leche.

When I am in town visiting, this is my go-to place for a quick breakfast with cuban toast and coffee. It is a shop located on a corner so you have to be mindful for people making quick stops in attempts to get to there parking lot. The restaurant is not very big but offers tables to eat inside or outsider, or you can order your coffee only or coffee and meal to go from the window. In all my years, I have never experienced slow or poor service. There may be a short delay in service if you come during their busiest time of service.

I came here with six other people. The lady was so confused with our orders, we had to repeat everything like four times. I got a carne asada with moros and sweet plantains. I squeezed so much lime on my plate to try to get some flavor in there. The rice was very very hard, as were the plantains. My mom, as one of her sides got tostones. They gave her two tostones... Two. And they were small. My grandmother asked for soup and the lady said they were out of soup. I later saw her pouring someone soup. The place felt unorganized and dirty.

    Pan con Bistec

Ok this place is good for some cheap hispanic food. Especially the sandwiches on the go. Remember you get what you pay for. Cheap price, cheap quality. So cant really complain too much, otherwise I'd go somewhere else. Went today and ordered a pan con bistec (thin-sliced palomilla steak sandwich w lettuce tomatoes, and shoestring crispy fries -for all those not familiar) one of my favorites. Huge complain: Everything the lady touched to make my sandwich was without gloves. EEEGGHH!!! Usually the basic rule is, it doesn't matter with anything getting deep fried, or in the oven, or on the grill. That can somewhat slide. Somewhat! And if you've been to this place you know, its a bit ghetto and dirty. There is no way her hands were sanitary by any stretch of the imagination. And come on, is not like it's an enclosed kitchen where I dont really know whats going on. You are making it right in from of me!!!! I saw her grab the bread, butter it and toast it and grab it back out. Ok. Then she dipped her hand in the lettuce container and diced tomato container and with her dirty fingers put the stuff on my sandwich!!! I really wanted to complain but honestly I didnt feel like having an argument that would probably go nowhere. And a place like this, there's no real manager... she's probably the owner. lol I sucked it up and ate it anyway cus I knew it would be good. So far, no food poisoning.

Amazing sandwiches made fast, full of flavor. I got the chicken sandwich and was blown away by the marinated flavor.

I do wish that the 10% late night service charge was more spelled-out, because I would've tipped accordingly having known that, instead of tipping a combined 30%. The worker did a great job, but I felt bad that he was the only person taking orders and making all of the sandwiches. One would think that the late night charge would give him a little bit more help behind the counter... Can't get enough of their house-made vinaigrette!

I most recently stopped by for a bite at this location a few blocks from North Shore Open Space Park, a.k.a. the full moon party. They have a few outside tables as well as an inside counter seating area. You typically order your sandwich & smoothie, pay and then your belly gets happy. They have a few regular sandwiches that they make fresh (i.e. not premade), as well as a "build your own" option on the menu. My go to is their Italian sub on a crispy baguette. It comes stuffed with ham, prosciutto, and salami as well as a slice of cheese. You do get to customize the green stuff, which for me is fresh lettuce, tomatoes, red peppers, and their little cornichons (baby pickles). As far as dipping sauces, they have the usual oil and balsamic as well as a lightly creamy vinaigrette, which to me had a slight hint of spiciness. I loved it! Going for my sweet tooth, their açai bowl is really packed with the açai paste, granola and fresh berries. The staff is pretty friendly and gets my order out on time. The spot is also dog friendly, I've seen folks come in with their four legged children.

She kindly asked us to wait a bit and promised she would find space for us, and she did! We waited about 30 minutes and made the most of it by enjoying a drink next door at a Haitian pizzeria. And let me say... every single minute of that wait was absolutely worth it. From the moment we sat down, everything was exceptional. The service, especially from Grace was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The wine Vallegarcia Viognier 2022 selection was excellent and perfectly complemented our meal. We started with the mushroom croquettes and beef carpaccio, both outstanding. My friends had the octopus and couldn't stop raving about it. I ordered the fish, and it was simply amazing, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. And then came dessert... the cheesecake. We ordered one to share among the four of us, and it was so incredibly good that even those of us who didn't plan on having something sweet couldn't resist. Truly unforgettable. Idan Bistro delivers not only incredible food, but also heart and hospitality. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Most dishes are shareable. I had ordered 3 because I was not sure what to expect being that I was on my own. 3 dishes was too much for just me but I did enjoy them all. I had mushroom croquettes, beef tartare and a pumpkin rice (felt more like a risotto) yum!!! I def took some home and was able to share some of my delicious experience with others. Service was kind and attentive. The overall aesthetics felt a bit cold, for me to lacked warmth. Considering this to be a more elevated experience for me the ambiance was a miss. Their price fixe lunch menu at $35 per person gives you a large amount of fresh food and great choices! My husband ate chicken wings-3 large spicy wings that he said were yummy. I had the falafel (3 large balls), hummus and bread. That would have been enough, but we also got tuna sushi rolls and salmon tiradito. The restaurant is very clean and the ambiance is very friendly. In fact several patrons were greeted with hugs. The service was very good and you could tell that the dishes were made for you and not pre-made. The gentleman sitting at the next table had a huge bowl of soup and then an enormous steak, fries, and a salad. Included were an iced tea and coffee. Well worth the money! Can't wait to return!

I had a fasting doctor's appointment this morning and wanted to pick-up something tasty. I ordered for pick-up. I will never do that again. My order was a lamb burger (with fries), falafel (sitting in hummus and with toast), soup and chicken wings. I was so hungry, I tore open the falafel. This dish was so salty, I threw it away. I tried a wing. Nothing stood out. It had no particular flavor and quite frankly, it was under-done for my tastes. The burger did not travel well at all. The bun was a mushy mess and the patty sat on top of a watery mayo of some kind. There were a few slivers of pickled onion, a thin slice of tomato and a few strips of lettuce -- hard to distinguish any of these toppings because it was all a bit of a messy mush. There was no nice lettuce and tomato at Lettuce & Tomato! The patty was the only standout of this order, but the fries that truly tasted day old, were such a disappointment, I couldn't get over it and just put the patty in the refrigerator. Even the ketchup was strange. I don't plan to return.
