Gay Pride plane

I had a great experience on Cape Air. Flew Boston to Saranac Lake since I needed to be in Lake Placid for a few days. I paid ~$100 each way. Even though they allow "carry ons" and a "personal item", these items are not allowed on the plane with you. Your personal item ends up going in a wing locker. I was a bit taken aback by this since I was carrying some highly confidential work paperwork with me. But the staff was great and locked the locker as soon as I put my bag in. There is no WiFi on the plane. And no restrooms either. But you fly quite a bit lower than true commercial and the views are spectacular. Flying Cape Air should be on everyone's bucket list.

I paid an extra **$140** for seats that appeared to offer a better arrangement during the booking process. However, after my wife and I boarded the aircraft, we realized the seating layout differed from what had been displayed at purchase. Paying additional fees only to encounter an uncomfortable seating situation was disappointing. My assigned seat, **6K**, lacked adequate cushioning, making the journey more uncomfortable than expected. I relied on extra pillows and blankets for lower back support throughout much of the flight. On longer trips, seat comfort can make a significant difference in the overall passenger experience. The customer service process proved equally frustrating. I first contacted an agent in Detroit seeking clarification regarding my flight details and aircraft information. I was then transferred to another department, believed to be located in Chicago, where I was informed they could not assist and was given yet another number to call. That representative ultimately redirected me back to the original Detroit contact. Only after several calls and repeated explanations did an agent finally provide the information I had requested from the start. After boarding, I found the aircraft itself attractive and well-maintained, and most of the flight attendants appeared hardworking and professional despite managing a busy cabin. However, the overall environment deteriorated as the flight progressed. A number of passengers were noisy and inconsiderate, and the lavatories became increasingly untidy within a few hours, with wet floors and sinks requiring attention. Although the cabin crew deserved recognition for their efforts and professionalism, the inconsistent customer service, uncomfortable seating experience, and declining cleanliness ultimately overshadowed the positives. Based on this experience, I would strongly compare alternatives before booking JetBlue Airlines for a similar trip in the Future. After yearssssssssssss of being afraid to take a Spirit Flight, I finally did it. When I say, all…read moreof the horror stories I have heard and seen on social media were NOT my experience. The Spirit Airlines website was super easy to navigate. I got on, created my account, booked my flights, and was all set within a matter of minutes. The confirmation provided all the details for my flight and my gmail was able to pull the details and add it to my calendar. 24 hours before my flight, the check-in reminder came and the checking process was super easy. I didn't have any changes or additions so I was checked in within a minute. Arriving at the gate was vibrant as the Spirit Airlines yellow set the tone for the area. The lines were long but the staff was smiling and friendly. As it came time to board, I was a part of Group 5 which is the bulk of flyers. Though the line was about 3 gates long, the Spirit Airlines staff had an efficient process for getting us out the gate area and onto the aircraft. Of course you can't do anything about the people who hold up the line, but the Spirit Airlines gate agents even had a process for them to step to the side. Woo Hoo! Once on board, the plane is standard size, and the seats aren't as tight as I have heard. I'm 6' 3" and though I didn't have ample space, I didn't feel like I was being crushed either. The seats don't have as much cushion as some of the other airlines, however, my butt didn't start to hurt until I was 2.5hrs into my 3hr flight, so I was good. The Spirit Airlines Flight Attendants are unique in style esthetic, however, their service was industry standard and they always appeared with a smile. As you pay for everything on the flight, the process of purchasing is easy and swift. The pilot was professional and ensured we had a smooth flight into the Boston area. He kept us abreast of weather changes, altitude changes, and gave us ample time to prepare for landing. I deplaned without incident and went on about my day. My return flight to Atlanta was the same experience quality. Coming back, I did add a carry-on ($70) and it was easy to add it during my check in process. Once at Logan, the kiosk was unable to scan my boarding pass, however the ticketing attendant put in my confirmation number and I was good to go. I tagged my bag, headed to the counter, dropped it off, and was on my way to security within 3 minutes. Thank you Spirit Airlines for the safe trip and streamlined standard operating procedures. You and the staff are appreciated.

The IFE was decent and the legroom was okay. However, the recline from the front was quite substantial, which doesn't give you much room to get out or to maneuver. The real issue I had was the amount of delays. Of the four flights I took with Lufthansa, three of them were delayed. Not great. I had to make a connection at Frankfurt, and the Lufthansa app gives you directions to navigate from where you arrive to the gate for the next flight. However, I was given wrong information and ended up having to ask around and having more complications than while the app led me to. As we arrived at the airport we then had to check in with guest services, which took a while as NO ONE knew where we were to go, to get the flight changed. Mind you still being charged an additional fee for changing the flight to a flight that was ideally no longer available. Followed by then paying for two bag fees and then finally getting a new flight, with a layover.
