The best vibe on Mason Street! Such a fun place and relaxing at the same time. Delicious hand crafted cocktails served in a lovely outdoor seating area. All the drinks are the same price ($15). I had a Moscow Mule and my husband had the French 75. We loved it so much here that we came back the next afternoon. Our service was attentive and took our orders quickly. She checked back in on us as needed. Great job on a busy weekend.

Came to cape Charles for the day. One of our friends recommended us to stop here and we are so glad we did. Great service, nice atmosphere, excellent tapas, and the drinks were very good. We tried 3 off the menu, old fashioned, White Russian, and the Berry Smash. We enjoyed them all. Highly recommend stopping here.

"Small batch" bourbon. Far from it.

If you like unrefined, moonshine tasting "small batch" bourbon. This is the place for you. The bottle I bought is un drinkable. Cool building though.

Very cute place in downtown Cape Charles. The drinks are handcrafted and the same price. I enjoyed my French 75 and my partner enjoyed his expresso martini. They also have an outdoor area. They were packed on Saturday night so they seated us in a private room with a large table. Caroline was a great server and answered all of our questions. This is a lovely place to stop by for a drink with friend.

Swanky place. Cool aesthetic. I enjoyed their grapefruit infused vodka with freshly squeezed grapefruit, and my husband had the cucumber gin. Definitely fresh, light. and enjoyable.

What a pretty place and decent cocktails. What fails them is the staff. We walked Into check out the place and get a beverage while on a weekend trip to Cape Charles. We had money to spend but weren't offered a table but we're told we could order drinks to go. That kind of annoyed me because it felt like they were screening customers. Maybe they just thought we were on our way to the beach. Assume positive intent. My husband got a Manhattan and I ordered the Mint Julep since I'm from South Carolina and that seemed apropos. Drinks were fine and I like that we could take them to go. I'd come back for sure. Drinks were good and I wish we could have enjoyed the music on the patio. Next time

A Strawberry Basil Vodka drink and a Bourbon Peach Tea. Both were good, albeit quite sweet!

We stopped into Cape Charles Distillery on a Saturday evening. It's a smaller venue, but that seems to be the norm in the area. The inside is nicely decorated and I loved the couch sitting area. All of the tables and bar chairs seemed to be full when we walked in, but as we were looking for a spot a high top opened up in the smaller room where a band was setting up. We looked over the menu for a while before a server stopped to ask us if we were doing ok, and we told her were still needed to order drinks. The menu didn't list prices, but mentioned something about a token system being used for tastings or cocktails. No one ever explained that to us, so I'm not sure what that is about. I ordered the Bourbon Peach Tea drink, and my husband had the Strawberry Vodka Basil. Both were tasty, though quite sweet. We agreed we liked the Strawberry more, but there were small ribbons of basil that made it just a little difficult to easily drink. Our tab came to $25 for two drinks. Maybe a little high given the drinks didn't seem too strong, but it would have been nice if prices were listed up front. We only had two drinks and then paid up front as no one ever came back to check if we needed anything else. We did enjoy the live music, and would perhaps be interested in returning for a tasting, if that's an option. We never quite figured that out!

Love this place for atmosphere and more importantly serious quality cocktails. "Pearls Before Swine" That's right, try this unusually enticing and delightfully unexpected cocktail for something to rewire your brain. It is posited that every time we try something truly unique, stimulating our senses in an unusual or novel way, our neural network expands. Ok, well, maybe not exactly! This is a wonderful cocktail that tastes like a tart liquid lemon custard in it's perfectly chilled and smooth state, with a bit of kick from the gin. It's the kind of cocktail that puts a place on the map. Or should. Not your flavor profile? Try a flight, choosing from whiskey, bourbon, blackberry or apple pie moonshine. This is the kind of cocktail place we call the real deal. Best part is you can sit outside, under a nice canopy, enjoying the outdoors and an exceptional beverage experience. It's a special place. Just Go! Edit: There are no bites or food served here. A question we ourselves asked before going. It would be fantastic if they could draw some food trucks on different nights like breweries do. Either way, this place is awesome.

A bit pretentious for a beach spot! Charged full price for a nonalcoholic drink! No food on weekday! A disappointing hour of beach time!

They are only open Friday 4-7, then Saturday and Sunday from noon to 7. So be mindful of that before driving all the way down to the beach. I wish they were open during the weekday, would be nice little after work hangout spot to catch a flight or two. The flights are $8 each and you get to choose 4 options. You can't beat that. I usually get two flights making my total $16 and I leave with a nice buzz. The customer service is really good. Our bartender carried on a conversation with us and kept us entertained. She's engaged and I'd like to wish her a happy wedding day. Over all I will continue to visit this spot, when open b/c I love how low key it is. Please note major construction going on currently around the distillery so may have to take a detour to get to them.

I arrived around 6:30pm in hopes I could still order a flight, since they close at 7pm. Thankfully, they weren't in a rush to close at all. In fact, almost 10 people came in after me. The lady working there was pretty nice and personable and the place was very clean. The flight includes 9 different flavors and you are able to choose 4 flavors for the tasting. My friend and I ordered our flights and enjoyed our tastings. Some we enjoyed more than others but it was still a good time and the drinks were very strong. My favorite was the Watermelon Ghost Margarita, which was made with fresh, watermelon juice and tequila with smoked ghost pepper. While at the Distillery, you can purchase bottles to take home or simply order a cocktail to enjoy. If you're near the Oceanfront, grab some friends and definitely stop in.

Quite indicative of the area. With those traditional ways comes some of the plusses and minuses of that era. But that's the fun part imo. First off, you'd be silly to not come here as they gave us our first taste for free. When it comes to unique, this definitely takes the cake. It's hard to explain but the only way to understand the uniqueness of their spirits is to straight up go there and try them. Because they're so unique, many of the 'og' style spirits I had were so far off from the norm. But that's ok. One of them wasn't for me but that's fine. I was just appreciative of being able to try it. Overall, this place is a big win. If you're in the area and are a spirits fan, stop on by! I went with a couple of friends around 5:45 and it was packed, but luckily people were leaving as we arrived so we were able to grab a spot. It was a little too chilly to sit outside, but they do have additional seating and I'd definitely sit out there when it's warmer. The food was great. I got the kimchi hot dog and loved it. The brioche bun really stood out, and the chili truffle oil fries were amazing. Everything comes out on a cute little tray, which was a nice touch. For my drink, I tried the pickletini. It was good, but definitely strong, especially if you're new to martinis. One friend got the caprese-tini, which was surprisingly good and came with a caprese skewer, so you get a little snack with it. My other friend got a dirty martini, which she enjoyed, and even as someone who isn't big on olives, I thought it was pretty good.
