Quick gas stop was excellent! Reasonable fuel and newer clean pumps. It's a small station but offers garage service. The location off Shore is a nice on and off with a signal at the corner. The pump area had flower bed made out of wine barrels. The lot was clean. No issues with the pump and processing of my card. The fuel was 10 cent more reasonable here than down the road. Paper towel and squeegee with clean water available and appreciated. Exxon also offers a full service garage with Virginina state inspection. I had no need to go inside. I purchased tires from them a little more than 18 months ago. My front tires have worn out and when I called them about the warranty they said yes the warranty is 30,000 miles but that does not cover treadwear only manufacturing defects. I've never heard of this before. I only had 20,000 miles. I took it to discount tire and they said keep Henry Exxon was full of crap those tires have a 70,000 mile warranty on them and if they would take care of me. We connected Cape Henry Exxon after reading the reviews, and it sounded like they take good care of customers. Phones were down during a rough storm, and the owner, Barry called us from Indianapolis (Immediate response, reaching out to customer from out of town) and then told us he was flying in that night and to meet him at 10:00am the next morning. I wasn't sure what to expect and needed a lot of luck as we were 600 miles from home, and was pretty sure I knew it was a very bad wheel bearing. As soon as I arrived at ten Barry took our vehicle for a test ride with me in it, confirming suspicions. The manner in which they conducted business and the speed was phenomenal. The part was in quickly, the car was pulled in and the job was over before an hour was up. Barry told me he'd have us in and out in no time at all. I could not believe how quickly it was handled in a courteous and professional manner, on the back end of a terrible storm that flooded city streets, on very short notice to someone who was an out of town needing quick service. I felt like the interest he took in us, total strangers and out of town on top of it, was like that only reserved for very special customers. I drove away with restored faith in those who take great pride in what they do. These guys went over the top for an out-of-towner. I also watched how they treated other customers who entered, from repairs to putting air in an elderly woman's tires. Everyone seemed to be treated like they were one of the family. TIRE FELL OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF LITTLE NECK RD!!!!! Worst Place. Would not refund repair price ($1,545.98) After my family and I spent over $4000 in 1 month on our vehicles. We had just moved from Ocean Park area of VB and we were excited to have a repair place close. $2,300: We had a break job done on our 2016 Suburban, they still squeak till this day (after I have already been there to get them corrected) after a full year still squeak. On this same visit they simply forgot my oil change that I paid for, I had to get a refund for the oil change. The only way I knew this happened was my oil light came on two days later.$ $1,545: We had new struts and brake job on 1987 Jimmy. TIRE FELL OFF ON LITTLE NECK RD. Thank God no one was hurt! However, we were just driving 50 MPH on VB Blvd, right before. Barry DID reimbursed us for the tow, and funds to get this repaired by someone else ($550). However, may be the right thing for him to refund the money for the repair, which was not done correctly. I requested this from the owner several times over a 6 month period. We emailed pictures and all receipts. Barry would not refund the $1,545.00! This is very unfortunate and is completely crazy for a customer to go through!! But, it is also very unfortunate, KGA will miss out on all the money we would have spent there over the years. The new owners have modernized the register (no more hand writing info about your vehicle every time) and expanded their discount program so that ANYONE in the family can use it on any of your vehicles. Finally, they are SKILLED mechanics, which can be tough to find nowadays. They are local, courteous and professional. read more

Brought my jeep in for a headlight alignment. Had the service done and went directly home. When I got home (3 miles) the headlight was no longer secure in the bracket and wobbling up and down. Took the jeep back to the shop and showed them the problem. The "service manager" Arron kept me on ice for a couple of days until he could talk to the owner. Purchased 2 "VIP Cards" from VIP Promotions Inc which contained multiple discounts and free services at Cape Henry Citgo. I brought my Truck in for a VA State inspection, and it required some work to pass. I also had a brake flush and transmission flush done. I was charged $36 for 3 light bulbs. They did not replace the light bulbs. I returned to the station and told them the daytime running light and license plate light were still out. They brought the truck in, and shortly returned it to me. The daytime running light was STILL out. I confronted the manager and he said that Chevy Suburbans only had one daytime running light. I called bs, and had the mechanic replace the correct bulb. After the service my transmission started slipping between 2nd and 3rd gear. I checked my transmission fluid, and it was barely registering on the dipstick. It took a full quart. Upon to return at Cape Henry Citgo the manager went out to check the fluid. He first mistakenly checked my oil dipstick, and after i pointed out where the transmission dipstick was he checked it. He saw it was low and said "The machine didn't fill it up enough." I pursued a refund from the VIP Promotions card company, but they said "All Sales Final". The total lack of quality assurance and integrity I experience will keep me from ever visiting Cape Henry Citgo again. read more

I am from the Richmond area and drove down for the day to care for my mother who just had cataract surgery. The tires on my car were relatively new, but I noticed when I took my mom out for a drive a loud noise and the car became difficult to maneuver. Luckily, I was able to make it to the Cape Henry Exxon and they immediately took care of everything. My experience was exceptional.This experience was do to Jim the Manager. He very professionally and skillfully took a possible negative situation and turned it into a great one . One of the most anxiety causing visits in most of our lives is not the Dentist...it is Finding a mechanic we feel we can trust. When you get your inspection, don't go here. They rejected me in March 2017, and quoted me 1000$ for ball joints and rear brakes. When I got the work done at another shop(for 600$), the mechanic removed the old ball joints and brakes and showed me the measurements and they were fine and would have passed. I took my vehicle in for a standard oil change, and had a coupon for $24.95. Service manager called me to let me know they had broken the oil cap off while removing it, and told me how much it would cost to replace. I stated that since he broke it, they need to pay for it. I was then told he would check around the shop for one and take care of it with the owner. When I went to pick up my vehicle, my bill was over $125 and they refused to pick up the cost of the item they broke. I spoke to the owner, who was very rude, and questioned whether I could "comprehend" what happened. At this point, I said I'd pay for the oil change, but that I wasn't going to pay for the piece that they broke. They also basically ruined another vehicle I had when they "forgot" to fill the new radiator they installed, and my vehicle overheated and blew three head gaskets. Will rip you off. Rejected my vehicle for something that was completely false. Would have charged $1500.00 to "fix". I asked three other inspectors to verify (as I want my vehicle safe and questioned there results) and just paid another station to re-inspect it. Not worth the hassle of challenging it with this station. In this area it happens a lot. Not everyone has more money than sense around here. I work hard for what I have. As a female it's hard to find a trustworthy garage/mechanic. I made an appointment for 10 a.m. The mechanic was ready and waiting. They DID NOT treat me like I knew nothing being a female. They were respectful, had great conversation while waiting and I observed them treating others with respect. They were done super fast told me a few things to look out for that would need to be replaced near future, and when I was ready to fix those things they would be happy to take care if it. Not pushy, didnt try to sell me anything I didn't need and I was informed they don't have a quota. So if you are looking for honest and fair THIS IS THE PLACE!!! When we first started going to the shop we thought they were fair. However, that has changed. I had a squeaking in my tire area which I had before living here years ago and it was the hub cap and it was easily fixed. So when it started happening here I sent it up to Cape Henry and they called and said we needed new brakes that was the squeaking. We had gotten brakes 2 yrs prior. So $800 later we had new brakes and the squeak was still there....duh it was the hub cap which I had told them. I told Aaron that I thought he took us for a ride with the brakes knowing that we didn't need them. Thanks right before our family vacation. Also, the brakes have screeched every since getting them, have taken the car back multiple times to be told that they just do that, we will put some metallic spray on them that will fix it. They also can't seem to "recreate the screeching of the brakes" even after taking the car for a 15 mile ride resetting all my seat presets and ripping the seat back. Funny the screeching is still there and literally every time I hit the brakes still screeches. If they were supposed to screech then why don't I hear everybody's brakes when nearing a stop light or anytime other people hit their brakes?? They are not to be trusted!! So unfortunate since we live so close! read more
