DO NOT GO HERE! I visited First Landing Auto Care in September for a state inspection, tire rotation and alignment. As an engineer myself I'm extremely disappointed in the shoddy work and lack of care shown to my vehicle. I replaced my front break pads yesterday, 28 February, the front left wheel came off with no problem. The issue came with the front right tire. We jacked up the car and loosed almost all of the bolts. One of the bolts was torqued well over 200 ft-lbs. However 7/16 bolts are supposed to be torqued between 80-100 ft-lbs. Subaru foresters specifically are rated for 83 ft-lbs. I am unsure if the mechanic that day had a bad day and was being lazy and decided to use the impact randomly when tightening the lug nuts. But one of the lug nuts completely sheered off. Basic mechanic problems come from under or over torqued bolts. Not only is the pricing obscenely over market rate but the work is also sub par. I've been in quality assurance of engine overhauls for the last 4 years, and this type of carelessness is unacceptable. I do not trust First Landing Auto to fix the problem they created and will be pressing the bolt and reinstalling myself. Following torque specs is a basic mechanic/engineering practice and although it may seem like going the extra mile to make sure it is done properly, not doing so can cause catastrophic failure in engines and mechanics. DO NOT GO HERE!

I took my car in for an inspection and oil change and they had it done in no time. The inspection was sent directly to my phone with pictures and detailed info which was super helpful. I needed new tires and a few other things done and was able to schedule for the next day, and they had it all completed in less than 2 hours. Mike was extremely helpful and professional throughout the process. The Thank You bag with mints left on my passenger seat was also such a nice touch! would highly recommend this establishment.

The employees couldn't stop staring outside and the cars lining up, b*tching about it. Gentlemen - focus on the car in front of you, knock them out one at a time, there's nothing you can do about getting more business, god forbid. Must be SOoOoOoOo terrible to have a steady flow of customers. The long wait, while listening to the people at the bus stop screaming and fighting on the corner, was not the worst part, no. After all that, they straight up lied on my receipt stating they topped off all fluids. And I know this because I had a "no washer fluid" light on for months before going here. I turn my car on at the end of the experience, and I still have the "no washer fluid" on. So I press the button and no shock, there is no wiper fluid coming out. Shocker. So I tell the guy and he says pop the hood and fills it up. This leaves me with a hard time believing they filled the other fluids. They were so concerned with selling additional services, they didn't even do the one I paid over $100 for correctly. Why would I ever want to add more from you? Also - train your employees! They should not be watching YouTube videos on their phones while working on my car cause they don't know how. Extremely unprofessional, horrible, terrible experience. Never going back and warning everyone to stay away.

From the moment I pulled in, the manager set the tone--professional, kind, and so chill that I instantly felt at ease. Every single person who assisted me, from check-in to the oil change itself, was amazing. It was like they all graduated with honors from the "How to Treat Humans Like Humans" school, and let me tell you, that's a rare find. Now, I can't write this review without dragging Take Five into it, because the difference is night and day. At Valvoline, they treated me with respect and kindness, while at Take Five, the guy verbally abused me so hard it felt like I was reliving my worst breakup. Like, if Take Five is your toxic ex screaming at you for no reason, Valvoline is your emotionally available partner who always remembers your coffee order. The whole process was seamless, quick, and dare I say, pleasant. No slamming tools, no dramatic drawer tantrums, no awkward flirting--just efficient, friendly service from a team that actually seems to enjoy their job. I left with my oil change indicator reset, my car in great shape, and a smile on my face. Moral of the story? Skip Take Five (unless you're into chaos and emotional trauma) and head to Valvoline. They'll treat you and your car like royalty.

The constant attempts to upsell unnecessary filters, fluids, and washer blades was obnoxious. If you didn't know what was going on, you could easily was away with a $300 bill for stuff you didn't need. The oil change itself was slow and of questionable quality. When done, the attendant gave me a 'next oil change' sticker that said I needed one in 3000 miles...which is absurd. When I called out the discrepancy, the attendant claimed Valvoline recommends every 3000 miles. When I showed him the Valvoline website that said my new oil was good for at least 7500 miles (vehicle manufacturers recommend 5000 miles), he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. This is either incompetence and apathy or a business sanctioned scam to get customers returning unnecessarily. Could be either. Needless to say, steer clear of this business.

Visit #1: The dude doing my oil change seemed to think he was auditioning for The Bachelor. The minute I mentioned I could change my own air filters, he was all, "So... do you have a boyfriend?" Like, bro, what? Are you here to service my car or apply for the position? He did chill out when I said no, but the whole interaction had big "creepy Tinder date" vibes. Visit #2: This was the real pièce de résistance. I showed up slightly overdue for my oil change, and instead of a simple, "Hey, try to come sooner next time," I got verbally annihilated. The guy was sooo mad, slamming tools around like he was auditioning for a WWE match. Then when I asked about using a coupon (because, duh, who doesn't love saving money?), he basically growled, "Absolutely NOT." Okay, Scrooge. But wait, it gets better. I paid in cash, thinking it'd be easier (mistake #1). This dude LOST it--slamming register drawers like the cash personally offended him, muttering God-knows-what under his breath, and then storming off to another register to finish the transaction. When he handed me my change, I swear he was two seconds away from yeeting it at my forehead. Finally, I asked him to reset my oil change indicator (a very normal request, mind you), and he straight-up ignored me like I'd just asked for a kidney. Instead, he gave me a dead-eyed "we're done here" and ushered me out like I was some ex he'd been forced to see at Thanksgiving dinner. Moral of the story? Skip this nightmare of a garage and head five minutes up the street to Valvoline. They'll change your oil without you having to relive your worst breakup.

Completely unacceptable, frustrating experience…read more I paid $1,338 for front brakes and calipers, and within six months I was still having braking issues. When I returned, they replaced only one front rotor under warranty. After a third visit for the same braking noise/vibration, I was told the problem was my rear brakes, even though those had been replaced only three months earlier at another shop. I then went to three independent shops, and all confirmed the real issue was a warped front rotor (the one not replaced the second time I brought it in). This should've been fixed the second or third time I brought it in. Instead they shifted blame to another shop, in which their work was confirmed to be fine. And for the price I paid, I shouldn't have had to bring it in multiple times for the same issue. Still after three visits and over $1,300 spent, my issue was still not properly fixed. The only good thing about this experience was that it was under warranty, and another shop was able to fix my brakes properly. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before trusting this shop, and if possible save your time and go elsewhere.

What was interesting in the lobby was the free water bottles and there were none inside. I have frequented this location several times in the past with no issues for the most part, but today seemed a little off on the checkout experience... I was informed they were ready for payment, but after getting the price I think it would have been a bit more courteous to offer a price quote at the beginning paired with the wait time. Again, I was informed about that the wait time but a bit more transparency for the pricing would be helpful. That way I could factor in how much I'm willing to pay and wait based on my afternoon schedule. The thing is you don't see the full prices until you get inside scrolling on the TV monitor. Then again it was not reviewed upon checkout. I had no problem paying the bill, but going inside to see the prices and then considering an attempt to make an adjustment as needed would have been nice. There were others there in line so that was not an opportunity given to me so I left it as scheduled. After checkout, I was handed the bill and that was it. I did not get told the car had the key in it, the car was ready to go ... it was more of a vibe of - off you go - I typically am aware that you can go to your car, but there were no car mats to prevent dirt or debris, or even a sticker placed on my window to let me know when I should return for service. I would fully rate a 3 1/2 stars, but only lowered a bit only because I felt it could have been a little bit more effort on the service side.
