A business worth supporting! Ryan and the rest of the staff were so friendly and accommodating, even though we came in about half an hour before closing. They never made us feel rushed or like we were inconveniencing them. Great service! Standouts were the dock fries and the clam chowder. The fries were better than we expected and I would go back even just for that. There are a few stools outside at a counter if you want to eat in. Small parking lot so you don't have to worry about where to park. Great place to have/pick up a quick meal or other market items. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area.

Picked up takeout here 3 times during our week long stay. Tons of options, fresh seafood, quick friendly service. Highlights were the cheesesteak, shrimp and steak sandwich .

Was looking for something quick, not a traditional sit down. The name of restaurant caught my attention, as we list our Dave back in October after a short battle with cancer. Our last family vacation down here was our last time of "normal" so I thought this would be a fitting tribute to him. We ordered clam strips and crab cakes sandwiches. Clam strips were tender and delicious the best I have ever had. And the crab cakes were filled with crab meat, not filler. We ate right in their porch and enjoyed every bite the young man at the counter was so nice. We can't wait to back next year!

I'm surprised that there was no reviews about this place. It's definitely a hidden gem in Cape May. It's basically a seafood market, but it sells produce, chips, and other grocery products. They have lunch menu. Not expansive but the star of the menu is definitely the lobster roll. My husband said it was better than the one in the main eatery in Cape May. The brioche was soft and nicely toasted, good amount of lobster. You can also buy just the lobster salad by the pound. Fried calamari is highly recommended. Great breading, so crunchy and the breading didn't fall apart. It's a family business. Everyone there were so friendly and welcoming. They had huge scallops and big uncooked crab cakes with no filler. Also salmon, shrimps, tuna, and other fish. The gentleman explained the best way to cook it. In the freezer on the right you can find frozen king crab and dungenese crabs. They were very accommodating to my request for putting the scallops in a plastic container instead of plastic bag. You can follow their instagram for the food truck schedule. I recommend this place for seafood, also to support local business. It closes on Mondays

Stopped by on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. The place had a nice vibe and everything was well put together. My order came out pretty fast, and it tasted great. Not sure it's a go-to spot for me yet, but I'd definitely come back and try more from the menu.

They were generous sizes with plenty to take home. Service was fast. We were quickly seated with a choice of where to sit. Water came without asking. Our order came quickly. Tori, our waitress, came many time to check on us. To top it off the manger, Alex, made his rounds to ensure all was going well. He also filled us in on the history of the place. Talking with Alex made us feel like family. Location was superb. We were sitting two feet away from the sand dunes looking out over the beach frontage of the Atlantic Ocean and the Delaware River. The building has open air doors which makes feel like you are sitting outside. That location has a sunken concrete ship from WWII in the water. A friend recommended this location because it was on the water and supposedly had great views. Well, she was not wrong! We planned to enjoy dinner there at sunset, and it was absolutely stunning. You can even see a shipwreck in the water from the restaurant. The food was delicious and the outdoor bar overlooking the water was definitely popular! It was packed. I recall having a refreshing, bubbly, berry libation. So tasty and beautifully decorated with fruit and a pearl skewer on top. My only constructive criticism is that this place is very busy and the wait time can be quite long. You may consider sending one person from your party there a bit earlier to wait for a table, because it can be up to an hour wait during peak times. (Not a spot to head to if you are very hungry and need to eat ASAP!) Aside from having to wait about 45 minutes to be seated, this place is a gem. Would definitely come back for the relaxing, beach ambiance.

First, we were seated in the back where the wait station and door to kitchen was located and staff was just standing around. We asked to move to one of the empty booths and was told they were all for reservations coming in. They were able to move us to the back room. Server was nice and attentive and our food (just appetizers) were good. The issue we had was the overly aggressive bussers who kept trying to take our plates away even when it was apparent that we were not finished. This happened several times. We dislike when dirty dishes are left in front of us but this was over the top and intrusive. With so many options around town, we likely won't be back.

Everything was simply perfect, including Vicki, our veteran and down to earth waiter. When we are unsure of things, she provided expert guidance with kindness and wisdom. The mussels appetizer are an experience not to be missed - save the bread for lapping up its saucy juice. My wife loved the pork chop - its huge and she took half home for lunch. I devoured the blackened fish of the day over bok choy. Both simply were outstanding. If/when again in Cape May again, we'd certainly come back. With a reservation!

After a stroll to the Washington Street Mall I was on my way back to the motel (The Jetty) and noticed this place was open. It was clean looking from the outside so I decided to give it a try. I was immediately welcomed as I walked in, nice. Looked around to see how the seating arrangements were and notice they had counter seating. Neil like sitting at the counter. A pleasant lady came over and handed me a menu asked what I wanted to drink...orange juice. And the juice came with a glass of water, I needed that and didn't know it. After looking the menu over I chose the western omelette with home fries and rye toast. I must have been one of the first customers of the day cause it wasn't long before I was eating. All I needed was some hot sauce for the home fries and their it was. The portions were generous and toast came out warm just the way I likes it. Cutting into the omelet it was filled, nothing scarce here. I would suggest to get here early, it wasn't long before there was a wait. Not sure if I finished it all but I needed to walk the WS Mall again and work it off. Yes this will be my go to place for breakfast next time in town. Peace.

We would have had to pay at least 30% more for the same meal back home in Metro Atlanta, GA. We went at 5:30 pm on a Saturday and we were number 57 on the waiting list. My wife had the Lobster House special which is linguine with lobster tail, scallops, and shrimp. Each entree comes with a salad and at least 1 side. I had a baked potato and stewed tomatos. My wife had a zucchini blend. We both had a diet coke for our beverage plus water. I would definitely go back.

Staff is one - a thrum of hive-like busy bee activity - they all worked hard from I could see and since this is a volume business, that is a backbone to their success. My Latino server was attentive and upbeat. Nice guy. Next - the food wasn't that bad at all. The Lobster Bisque was pleasant and the Flounder Francaise was fine - not $37 fine but hey, you're paying for location too. Plus I'm sure the fish was fresh. Shane they didn't have filet of sole. Coffee, apple pie with ice cream, and baked potato were each unremarkable - on par with diner chow. But again, it's not the Coffee House or the Baked Potato Mansion. I saw many families here and I suspect for many of those families, toddlers and elders in tow, years of their memories here with families is a valuable reason for them to go. Tradition has a place in a long term eatery. Like Sparks Steakhouse. Wait. My bad example. Like Krogs Fiske Haus in Copenhagen. I'll die childless and all my family are long gone so I'm afraid the other memorable aspects of this sprawling seafood beer hall (in appearance - not literally a beer hall) were just observations - like the bare breasted sea ship carvings on the walls - won't prompt my return. Fun fact: why they are bare-breasted: according to maritime folklore, showing an exposed breast was believed to "shame" the sea into becoming calm. It also served to appease the angry spirits of the ocean. For me, it just was a bit embarrassing to have the mammalian protuberances monitoring my feeding.

Reservations are a must and don't forget to BYOB. The vibes are quaint with a very small indoor dining room and an outdoor patio that's a bit larger. I'm really glad we requested a table outside, because the patio was so nice on a warm summer evening. What we ate -- started things off with mozzarella and heirloom tomato salad (on special) and kale cesar. All produce is sourced locally from Beach Plum Farm and both dishes were fab. For our main we shared crab cakes and scallops. Both were so fresh and came with a large portion. Every entree comes with brown rice and house cabbage slaw. Reviews will mention that this is pretty plain, but with the fresh seafood and dipping sauces it's really the perfect accompaniment. The scallops came with a delicious sweet ginger sauce and the crab cakes came with a creamy lemony tartar sauce. The decor is fun and kitschy and the inflatable whale in the bathroom tub made me laugh. Don't forget to grab a chocolate bar at the Louisa's chocolate shop which is adjacent to the restaurant. I'll be thinking about this meal for a while.
