The bartender told us tastings were not available the Friday afternoon we were there. He said we could choose a few 8 ounce pours instead. Uh...that's a pretty big taste. The beers and cider we had were good, but nothing to write home about. We didn't try the food, but the burgers coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. Bar vibe, but not busy, so we had the option of indoor or outdoor seating. Reading the signs was entertaining. read more

I'm not really a beer drinker but I really enjoyed my time at this spot. They have a great selection of beers and a very friendly and knowledgeable brew crew. Of the 4 drinks I tried, only the dark stout wasn't finished. The cider was my favorite by far. If you find yourself in this neck of the woods, I would definitely try them out. read more

Very cool spot in Cape Vincent. They've got a number of beers on tap, and lots of yummy food options. We ordered a bunch of apps to share and they were all really tasty. The atmosphere was pretty lively, and they have live music on some weekend nights. The space is an "order at window or bar" kind of environment which worked out well enough. The staff were all very friendly. I would recommend the wontons, fried shrimp and the poutine appetizers! read more

Stopped in this afternoon to check out their new space and it is great! Love all the natural light from the garage doors in the front. Can't wait for them to open them up one afternoon. Also love the leather recliners, I may just become a regular for those and I don't even drink beer! Good thing they also carry The Cape Winery's wine! Husband had a flight of 4 beers. My family and I were staying a night in Cape Vincent at a friend's house. We decided to head to town and walk around a bit. We hit up the Cape Vincent Brewing Company and discovered that this day (8/4/17) was only their second day being open. The 2 bartenders pouring beer didn't quite seem to have their kinks worked out yet. Or, more like it the guy bartender wouldn't let the woman bartender pour beer, rather she had to stand there and wait for him to either move, or he poured what she needed. Weird system. The first thing I'd like to mention other than the weird bartending system was that it was HOT AS H-E-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS in there. NO air conditioning! The doors were propped open and there were a few fans on high. Nothing but hot, humid, stagnant air up in this place. (I really hope this was just a temporary issue) Flights are $7 and there is a chalk board with 9 selections complete with descriptions. You can also purchase a half or full glass ($3/5). Interesting concept, a half glass. I didn't mind the Last Cast Lager and the Embark Cider from my sampler. Small bathroom did not have any toilet paper. I let the woman bartender know and she went right to the small storage closet and retrieved 4 rolls of toilet paper and handed ALL of them to me. Both bartenders and I laughed about what I was about to do in that bathroom with all the paper. Haha..... But seriously, don't make me stock your supplies! Did I mention the bathroom is small.... Well, I'm mentioning that again. Felt like a phone booth in there. (oh crap, did I just date myself with that last reference?) Also within this new brewery you will find several different board games to keep you busy. We selected connect four. While the frame was slightly broken, we made do, and I'm the reining champ in our group, if you were wondering! I intend to check this place out next summer when I come back to town. Popped in here on a Friday night when I had nothing to do. Great vibe and fantastic live music. Leaving the review to shout out a specific employee: Hayden. Had a table to myself, with no food and needed to go back to the bar for another drink. Asked him what the best way was to do that without losing my table. This kid offered to stand and guard my table for me. Absolutely top notch service. If you are the Owner/Manager and you are reading this, give this kid a raise. Spent my summers as a kid in this town. It's really great to see a local brewery open up. Overall this place is very welcoming with a fun atmosphere. The bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable about their beers. At this time they have 4 local beers and 3 guest taps. I got a flight for a reasonable $7 and tried the local blonde ale, lager, IPA and porter. Overall my favorite was the lager. I wasn't a big fan of the other beers but I understand they just opened and are still trying new brews. If you're passing through I would definitely give it a shot! I would love to see what they have in store next summer. What a great local business. read more

Stopped in for a few beers I ordered Channel Marker bartender says " never heard of it ' really it's brewed in Clayton! So I order an IPA non specific. Well the tap must have crapped out because it was foam after foam in the end I take and it is awful, flat as hell! He called himself a bartender ! If he saw the tap was lousy why not pic another! Nice place but this is the second time he has had a bad attitude! Nice looking kid wears his hat backwards but has a personality that is not very welcoming ! First of all...what a fun place! My wife and I went to Cape Vincent to meet up with friends and were surprised that a small town would have such a great bar/brewery/restaurant. If you're expecting typical bar food, you are in for a very pleasant surprise. I can't remember having a better burger anywhere, and the haddock I ordered was really good. I tried some of my wife's pizza...also very good. On to the beer. The guy who takes care of their brewing (Roland) has really created some special beers. He was gracious enough to give us a quick tour! The IPA I ordered was excellent. My wife absolutely loved (not my thing) their cider drink. I can't say enough about the place. Roland and his wife Lori run it and really put their stamp on it. Friendly atmosphere and great service. If you are anywhere near Cape Vincent, I highly recommend you add this little gem to your itinerary. read more

Last few times I have been there they have been out of several food items. Today they squealed about me ordering food at 7:40, no last call, when google maps showed open until 9 (and handed us a flat bread instead of a pizza). As a year round resident - I'll go elsewhere. Great location and building is really nice, especially on a nice day. They have a decent variety of beers to choose from that are pretty good. The food is where I lowered the stars. The food isn't very good and not from fresh ingredients. Basic bar food but not much flavor. Husband was not happy with his food. He had the Michigan dog which was a chili dog and tasted like it was out of a can. Had a bunch of onions not cooked with the chili but thrown under it. I had the sliders and was very simple. We had dinner there twice with friends a few weeks ago. We had pizza one night and the other night we ordered individually from the menu. On both occasions we were not disappointed. I had an Irish Red beer and a Stout, both brewed there, and they were excellent. I also bought 12 cans to take home. A local couple owns the brewery. He helps in the kitchen and she runs the floor. They and their staff are a lot of fun and add to the experience. We will go back and we highly recommend it. read more

Overall, the best ever bar and restaurant I have visited. The food was spectacular, the Pizza was perfect. It was difficult to choose among the various homemade brewed beers; they were all excellent. They also had ciders and wines to choose from. You can not beat the atmosphere. The one night we were there, they had live music. We HAD to go back a second time. There are plenty of different types of beers to choose from, and you can choose a flight and sample a few! But other people that were drinking and driving a car were able to drive away . I wouldn't do business here every again . Drinks aren't that good and overpriced.
