Crepes and board games? Wut? It took some convincing from my kid for me to agree to come here. I like tabletop games and crepes both but the combination seemed too novel to be any good either way. Holy crap was I mistaken. Not only is this place massive inside, they have the friendliest staff, an absolutely huge selection of games (both for purchase or available to play onsite), and a really great community of players. But the food, you say, how are these crepes? Well, we ordered three different ones, 2 sweet and 1 savory, and all of them were extremely tasty. We would love for this store to become the destination it can be for the world's most popular TCG. Here are some suggestions. 1. The crepes are bad, and banning outside food isn't going to make us like bad crepes. It's just going to make us not come to your store. Improve the food or allow outside food and drink. It's sold right outside your door and would be easy! 2. Actually advertise and organize FNM. We want C&C to become the flagship Portland store but it's not going to happen spontaneously. Here's the deal: Game store? 5 stars. Great selection, decent prices, friendly staff, no complaints from me here. Crepes? 0 stars. Slapdash, low-quality, waste of time and money. 'Crepes' is right there in the name, guys, and there is an absolute dearth of good crepes in PDX - we lost Le Happy, we lost Suzette, and man I was hoping that maybe this spot would help fill in the gap a little. What I was served was basically the kind of frozen-and-re-heated thing you'd serve to your toddler, who would play with it while you badgered them to finish it. The crepe itself was okay, made fresh, but the filling? I got a Chicken Parm crepe that felt like somebody stuffed it with frozen chicken nuggets, spooned some red sauce out of a big jar of Prego, and threw in a few shreds of deli cheese. Meat was barely warm in the middle. Cheese was not melted. Flavour was altogether bland. Honestly the first crepe was so bad we canceled the rest of the order, and the guy didn't look surprised at all. I'm guessing they're used to people being disappointed with the food they're served. When you're working with so few ingredients, you have got to nail every one. I honestly think the plain crepe with butter and cinnamon sugar would've been a better experience. Super disappointing. We had a delightful experience playing board games with friends at Capes and Crepes. Their main table space area seems to be generally taken up by the special events they're running that day, but they have tables around their cafe area that seat four, and a couple of private rooms that you can pay to rent. All the employees we encountered were very helpful and friendly. The only gripe is the food situation. The menu is very limited, though everything I ate was tasty. I don't really think it's an issue that they're slow, since we were playing games and in no rush. They also have some sodas and snacks such as chips, candy, etc. But on the outside of their building, they advertise coffee, yet have no coffee. No big deal, but we asked if we could get some elsewhere and were told that we couldn't bring in any outside food/drink. I get why that's the case, but for coffee? Kinda brutal lol. Hopefully they're adding it, but please let us bring our own in the meantime. read more

Great new games store, game library and tournament room where you can play anytime there's space. (Lots of space right now). They are also building private game rooms as well. Super friendly and helpful staff who are passionate about games. Great boba tea (with half-sweet option), chicken crepes, vegetarian crepes and sweet ones (PBJ, Nutella & Apple pie) with GF options. Tournaments are planned and they are gearing up for kids rpg (D&D etc...). We've been here many times and my kid loves it! Check the calendar for events. read more

The board game selection is excellent, including a robust lending library! Plenty of comfortable tables to play at. However, the food service has much to be desired. The food was fine (although the crepes were served room temperature) but the service was incredibly slow and disorganized. We were there for a hour, and despite reminders, they forgot to prepare our fries. The drinks were yummy at least. Would go here again for board games and boba tea, but not the food. read more
