Cute pink decor (don't touch the bike)
    Noah E.

I wish I could give 3.5 stars instead of 3!! I would come here again for the fresh brewed tea (no milk) and spam musubi, but only if I was in the area. When I first walked in I was enamored by all the hello kitty decor. They have a pink motor cycle. It also seemed like the claw games were fun. A solid foundation, but I was let down by our initial drinks. I won't say when I came in because I don't want an employee to be blamed for my opinion, but I did come 2 hrs before closing. The employee was enthusiastic to help me find exactly what I needed. I tried the matcha latte with strawberry foam and brown sugar boba. These are my 3 fav flavors so my hopes were high. I got the strawberry milk tea with strawberry foam for my gf. The drinks looked beautiful and I was hoping the taste matched. My initial sip of strawberry foam was pleasant but I was met with a bitter artificial aftertaste. The boba at the bottom was warm and I prefer a cold method so it matches the drink temp. My gfs strawberry milk tea was undrinkable. I went back in to see if a refund was possible but since the manager wasn't present we had to pick new drinks instead. I really appreciated the patience the employee had for us wanting something else. They seemed shocked we didn't like it (so maybe it's just our palette) The jasmine tea was good and my gf got the Oreo blended which was pretty good. Hoping the best for their future, but it didn't feel great spending money here

My friend masters the claw machine.

I brought friends here because it was advertised as a popular Pokémon-themed boba shop. We were not disappointed. The decor was very Pokemon - acrylic cases display rows of holographic Pokémon cards and collectibles. Pokemon figurines are on display and there were Pokémon-themed bubble tea and claw machines. Overall the ambiance was nice. The food was ok. We had bubble waffles, a fruity slush and two signature teas. Prices ranged from $5.50 to $7.50 for most specialty drinks and signature teas. I would have liked more of a food selection. I would recommend this Monster Tea House location for what it is, a cute Pokemon cafe. Personally I prefer the other Monster Tea House location in Lake Oswego.

The ambience was awesome, lots of different flavors of tea and Pokemon inspired drinks, cool games to play and win prizes. I got an iced Mango green tea with honey sweetener. 11/10.

What a cute pokemon themed spot to check out! The ladies at the register were so sweet and answered any questions we had. As pokemon players we really enjoyed it. Now we have to make this a pokestop!

I love stopping by this place whenever I'm in the area. From the aesthetically pleasing interiors to the friendly staff and the amazing sweet drinks, I can't think of a reason to not go here! The sea cream boba latte is my favorite drink to order here as I love sweet drinks!

I've been to Monster Tea House a couple of times and think the decorations are super cute with Sanrio characters. I ordered the passion fruit tea and thought it was refreshing especially during hot times. The employee answered our questions and provided information on the menu.

I ordered the s'mores, Waffle. It was light and fluffy and not to sweet. The service could be a little more up beat for being a Pokémon themed café that is the reason for the 4 not five stars. The ambiance i awesome! Pokémon everywhere. There are claw machines with cute plushies and card packs. I will definitely be back.

Cute bubble tea shop with cute decor. My friends and I stopped in after dinner to grab a refreshing boba drink. Drinks were good, but staff was not friendly at all. They didn't even greet us when we walked in and just stood at the counter. We asked how much certain items were (plushies and merch) and they said they didn't know. Both workers didn't seem to care or try to find our prices for their items either.

The shop was cute don't get me wrong, but the actual drinks / food were not super impressive. My boyfriend got a spam musubi that had already been sitting out on the counter, who knows for how long but it wasn't good at all, even if not fresh, just flavorless. The drinks we got really were not that great, I've definitely had better drinks at mall food courts. We got the hello kitty and my melody, honestly not great and didn't even finish mine. The service was casual, it was fine.

    hot Wintermelon Milk Tea
    Jin Z.

Very helpful guy at the counter who explained what drinks had caffeine and various ingredients. I got a winter melon milk tea hot, with boba and oat milk. The funny thing is that while the "About" on here says they don't use artificial flavors or powders, the employee said that is absolutely not true and that the business owner doesn't use Yelp at all, so not sure if that's just way outdated info or what. But FYI if you're looking for all natural boba--this place isn't it! The drink I got is super tasty though.

My boyfriend entered to inquire if we could bring our dogs in. To our delight, the cashier said it would be fine and we were able to sit down and enjoy our drinks. Our cashier was very friendly and patient with us when we ordered! First, I loved the cute Mario themed decorations and menu! Super cute and well thought out for fellow fans to appreciate. My boyfriend ordered the Luigi drink while I got the Golden Star. Our drinks came out perfectly as the taste was sweet and delightful after a long 3 hour drive from Washington to Portland. Definitely check out this spot!

What a cutie spot. I chose them because they have boba beverages with the option to add alternative milk (coconut, oat and almond I believe). I ordered a fresh black tea and got coconut milk and boba, light sugar and hot as it was a really cold day. Staff was friendly -- drink was good, took a little bit as I believe they brewed it fresh. Decor is all pink. I'd come back if I were in the neighborhood to try other drinks.

The cutest boba cafe ever with the Hello Kitty theme going right now. The place was clean and bright, decorated with Hello Kitty items. Attentive cashier. Drinks were good too. Boba was nice and chewy. The mango fruit tea with boba was really good. I had the My Melody drink which was dragonfruit sunrise with strawberry jelly. It was ok, it just reminded me of medicine growing up but the kids liked it. Overall cute boba place.

Why does their menu say $5 for a signature milk tea but they actually charge $5.25? They've only been open a week and the menu is wrong already...

Drink-wise, I often go for a Mucho Caliente, the "Mushit," a mushroom-based chai invention, or a Rose Mocha. I've had mochas all over and none compares to the way Joe and his staff concoct the drinks at Tov. The chocolatey-ness, viscosity, mouthfeel, flavor, sippability, sweetness, always satisfy my palate, and the balance of coffee to other flavors is always to my preference. Their drinks are decadent and may take a bit longer to make than expected, and I find it is well worth the wait. I enjoy getting comfortable on Joe's very colorful red cushions, taking in the purple Egyptian vibes within and the eccentric vibrancy that is Hawthorne outside. Fun fact: Joe doesn't believe in plain old ice, and instead he freezes cubes of milk! The cubes stratify into discrete layers that are fun to crunch through, reminiscent of the layers of baklava. Very enjoyable for someone who normally avoids ice or chewing on ice.

Located on Hawthorne just past the curve at 50th, they've got plenty of free street parking in the nearby blocks. The latte art was on point, the cold brew was most definitely strong, cafe au lait was milky and foamy in the best way, and the americano drinks were fabulous. While their hours (#4) aren't particularly suited for after-work hours, they do an excellent job of keeping their space clean and the vibes low key throughout the morning and afternoon. Their shop is very curated and is definitely has a "recently here because of gentrification vibe." However, I know it's been in Portland for a while and locals swear by it. With shops like these I find it easy to focus and work. The minimalist and industrial decor is a great place for adhd brains like mine. I was warmly greeted by someone at the register. I was interested in so many choices on their matcha. Horchata iced coffe, orange latte, strawberry Ube matcha. I asked the barista if they do exchanges or remakes for drink if the customer dislikes what they ordered. She mentioned they have a NO REMAKES policy. I knew it was time to lock in instead of trying something Willynilly. She was super patient with me as I wondered what to get and discussed my hesitations. She let me sample a tiny amount of the strawberry uber syrup and lavender to make my decision and it helped. I ended up getting and iced lavender matcha and didn't regret it at all. It's been hard for me to find good matcha in Portland and they didn't disappoint. The syrup was blended in well. The flavor of the matcha wasn't too grassy, bitter or powdery. I'm sad it's a seasonal drink because I'll Miss it. I also got an almond croissant, which was good but not mind blowing. I think I'll try the banana bread next time.
