My friend needed coffee in the morning and conveniently I saw Caphe Den from our hotel window so we decided to go try it! - Salted Cream Coffee -- added labubu design for $1 It was strong and tasted good. It is on the pricey side for the size of the cup, but it was definitely worth a try! The interior is small with cozy decors, but limited indoor seating. The service was great and the staff was helpful offering recommendations.
I like that they open early (8:00) before other drink spots. You can order at their 2 kiosks or with someone. I ordered at the kiosk, but one of it did not have the pay machine connected, so I had to reinput my order at that other kiosk. Black Sesame Matcha Latte (Large, No Sugar) had a good matcha flavor, but it gets overpowered by the black sesame flavor if you mix it. Best to keep it separate or only partially mixed. Banana Cream Coffee (Medium, 30% condensed milk) was an interesting combo! You can really taste the coffee and the banana, which goes well together. I like the banna chips on top. Oat Milk Latte (Medium, 30% sugar) is good for lactose intolerance. It is still a bit sweet at 30% for me, so would get 0% sugar next time. Will be back for the coffee!
I got the regular Viet Ice Coffee and it wasn't bad at all! Definitely is a popular spot since many people were coming in and out of the store. You can get pictures on your coffee if you'd like which is a very unique touch. Service wasn't too fast or slow. Limited seating and no bathroom but there is nice decorations and it is in a good location!
Nice Vietnamese coffee spot. Really cute interior, good service, and a good coffee. I tried the salted foam over standard viet coffee, and it was really solid! The foam was fun and a tasty addition. It was a bit pricey ($8), but I guess coffee nowadays is around that anywhere. BTW they have a pastry selection that sounded stellar, but they were out when I went :')
I absolutely loved my Affogato coffee during a quick stop while I was in NY. I got 50% condensed milk and it was perfect for me considering it comes with a scoop of ice cream on top. I tried a sip of the match cream coffee and it's the best of both worlds for anyone with an affinity for matcha and coffee :) The inside is quaint in size but very well decorated with dim lighting for a perfect coffee date or studying session. The music choice was fitting for the ambiance and not too loud. You can order from one of the two kiosk that are available. We walked here but street parking is available.
The drinks are rich, strong, and tasty. What more can you ask for? Beautifully decorated and clean. You can tell that they take pride in their business. Very cool that they use the Vietnamese "phin" or drip technique for all their coffees. It might take longer but it absolutely makes a difference. I made a special trip to try it out and it was totally worth it. If I'm ever back in the area I will for sure come back and try more things on their menu. Càphê Đen is a small Vietnamese coffee shop located in Flushing. It was quite a surprise to find a Vietnamese spot in this area of New York City. There are two self-ordering kiosks for customers to order from. While browsing through their menu, there were quite a few unique drinks. I ordered the Durian Cream Coffee and my boyfriend ordered the Banana Cream Coffee. Both drinks were quite strong. The cream top is very rich and creamy. I personally prefer mixing the cream into the rest of the drink.

Love Caphe Den. There's not too many places doing the creamtop coffees with vietnamese coffee. While the flavors blend well together, it was hard to evaluate the actual coffee itself (i'll have to come back and get a regular one!) but the black sesame was nice and rich and I inhaled it! The space is super cute, too and the workers were helpful. There are a few tables and a small bar with like five stools for you to sit and enjoy your coffee. It's tucked in a quiet corner of flushing but it's a good spot to add to your flushing food crawl and kick it off with some caffeine. My friends got a variety of creamtop viet coffees and the egg cream coffee which was delicious, too. I'm glad vietnamese coffee is getting more attention; it's my favorite and I love places getting creative with it like this! read more

Delicious drinks! I got the ube latte. Ube was strong, and the coffee was Vietnamese style. Very strong and bitter, which is true Vietnamese coffee. I really enjoyed my drink. The service was decent. There was a kiosk to place your order and I waited about 10 mins. My friend ordered the matcha mango and waited for quite some time. The ambiance of the place is really pretty and hidden. 3.5 stars We tried the Jasmine Matcha Cloud drinks and it was kinda interesting. We did get ours 100% sweet, so I wasn't even sure what I was drinkin at first but there seemed to be a good amount of Matcha and some thick cream on top which was a bit odd cuz it was just too thick.. definitely isn't a foam but a very rich, dense matcha cream that wasn't very sweet but it wasn't bitter either. I didn't really taste any Jasmine tea, I'm not sure if I liked it but I did have a big discount. I don't think I would get it again but I would come back to try something else. It's a cute spot with some seats. L did like the drink more than I did but he's not as picky. They had old school music playing and one of the guys was singing along sometimes. So didn't experience any rude employees... Considering that there's a bubble tea shop practically on every block in Flushing, it's nice to see one that's more focused on coffee drinks. Next time I'll try their reg matcha or coffee to see how good the other drinks are. For now it's a nice lil spot maybe not as popular as the bubble tea shops close by but it still had a good amount of customers after we came in. read more

Jasmine matcha cloud was the best most flavorful one. Banana was second best had a lovely creamy taste and not overly sweet. Ube didnt taste much like ube but matcha was good. Ordered for delivery it was packaged nicely and would get again. read more

No line when I visited, but it was a freezing January day and I'm sure it gets packed in warmer weather. I ordered the iced ube cream coffee (50% condensed milk) and it was amazing. Definitely will be back for more coffee drinks!! read more

In an area with so many cafes - this was alright. Or maybe we got the ordinary stuff? We ordered the standard Vietnamese coffee - I liked that they allowed me to customize the amount of condensed milk. I don't like a lot of sweetness in my coffee - so I selected 30%. And my partner got Matcha Latte. Both of them were meh. Not the worst I had - definitely not worth the hype or the price. The vietnamese coffee was good, but had a lot of ice (which wasn't customizable). The matcha latte was alright. read more

#30 in my NEW ENGLAND & NY COFFEE SHOP SERIES Delicious Viet coffee!! Just a star knocked off for the work/study vibes. It's a super small shop with not many tables, but a great shop for good drinks! I was so excited to know you can now customize your Vietnamese cream coffee with printed art at Caphe Den--choose from their rotating monthly designs or upload your own photos via a QR code, all for just $1 extra! I've been wanting to visit a Chiikawa-themed cafe for the longest time, so of course I had to print Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi on my drinks. (though I do regret not printing Usagi on the yellow egg cream, it would've been perfect!) They also offer popular character prints like Labubu and Sonny Angels. ＊Egg Cream Coffee $9.48 (L)Cà phê trứng is easily my favorite of the three! The coffee base was incredibly rich--just as you'd expect from Vietnamese coffee. It is a bold, strong coffee with a fluffy cream float of whipped egg yolk and condensed milk. Highly recommend giving it a try. ＊Strawberry Matcha Latte $9.48 (L)What really blew my mind: they use 8g of matcha for a medium and 12g for a large! I'm usually not a huge fan of strawberry matcha, but I really enjoyed this one. The strawberry purée made it super refreshing. I added matcha cream on top so I could get printed art on this drink too. ＊Black Sesame Cream Latte $9.48 (L) The black sesame cream was rich, nutty, and had a texture so thick we ended up scooping it like a mousse dessert. I do wish the cream had been softer--it was a bit hard to mix with the coffee. Note that I asked for 30% sugar for all drinks, and that's the perfect amount of sweetness imo. read more
This is a coffee shop that is not situated on the main street, so it's a little bit out of the way. But still worth the detour! We got the coconut coffee refresher and it was delicious. It was unique and so refreshing! The bits of coconut meat was a sweet treat at the end of drink. Recommend visiting this cafe! read more

As a regular Vietnamese phin drip coffee drinker, it takes a lot to wow me -- would say this spot definitely is up to par but I would say they are quite pricey. 4.5/5 Sea Salt Cream Viet Coffee -- LOVED the sea salt cream foam, perfectly silky with a salty kick. 0.5star off for the fact there was a strangely small amount of coffee to cream ratio. I had so much more cream than coffee in my drink. 4/5 Coconut Coffee - refreshing summer coconut shushie ! read more
I came with some people who were buying for others as well, so we got a variety of drinks. I think we were all a little disappointed by the drinks that we got... I got the black sesame cream coffee. I asked for less condensed milk thinking that the cream would also make the coffee sweet but that was not the case so my coffee was more bitter. The cream was thick and "stringy"(? not sure the best way to describe the texture of it). I feel like it was a more of a foam vs cream. I definitely would've gone with something else if I knew that since I don't usually like foam. My cousin got a matcha drink (cant remember which one) and mentioned that it didn't have the matcha taste. Not sure what everyone else thought of the egg coffees. The store itself is cute. Finally found an authentic Vietnamese coffee shop on the east coast. Caphe Den had been on my list for a while and I was finally able to visit during a flushing food crawl. I appreciate the decor and history of Vietnam and the coffee displayed on the walls I ordered an ice egg coffee and it it was absolutely perfect. Stopped by during our layover. The shop was open early and did not disappoint. We ordered from the self-order kiosks and there were so many unique Asian-inspired drinks to choose from. They are quite pricy (my drink was over $8 for a venti size). They also have a few Asian baked goods at the front counter. Caphe den was my first stop in Flushing!! It is a small cute shop near all the best eateries! I ordered the matcha iced coffee and the vanilla affogato. The matcha topping is a cream cheese matcha that is quite thick! It tastes great but can be tough to sip down so I stuck with using a straw. The vanilla affogato was amazinggggg! The coffee in both drinks was nice and rich, not watered down at all. The service was nice and quick! read more
Very good and strong coffee. It is sweet because they used condensed milk but it is not heavy. I got 30 percent sweetness (the least amount). Service was fast and the place is clean. A great spot for Vietnamese coffee! The inside of the cafe has two kiosks that you can order at, a window of yummy pastries, and some bar space to enjoy your drinks at. The service was nice. I got the coconut matcha and the matcha foam coffee. Let me warn you: the coffee here is STRONG. By itself, the coffee is extremely bitter and the foam does help a bit, but it's also pretty thick so it's a bit hard to mix in. My friends and I decided to stop here on our last day before flying back home, and it didn't disappoint. The shop is tucked into a not-too-busy street, a bit off from the main road, but it is a cute find. Compared to many of the cafes we went to during our stay, it was a bit small, but it had a cozy vibe to it. Personally, I don't think it was as strong as I'd like viet coffee to be, but my friend absolutely loved it. The Ube cream was sweet and balanced out the coffee pretty well. The ice of course was pretty much the whole drink, which was also a bit disappointing, but overall it is worth a try. read more
Visited this cafe as a recommendation of a friend. I love having Vietnamese coffee when I need a strong fix of caffeine. This place has a lot of unique coffee items on the menu as well as sweet items. You can choose to order through the kiosk or with the cashier. I tried the Egg Coffee and it was very unique. It had a thick yellow topping that you can mix into the coffee base. I loved the strength of the coffee and it gave a really good kick. Service was good with the employees we interacted with. The prices are moderate, but worth it. I would visit back if ever in the area. read more
Cozy spot for Viet Coffee in Flushing. Caphe Den is clean and relatively small. They have free wifi so it's a nice place to get work done. A tad expensive for just one coffee ($7+) but the coffee was strong and yummy. 70% sweetness is perfect. Will definitely get the job done if you're craving some Viet Coffee. read more
Stopped by on a whim on an early morning. Service was quick. I liked that you could customize your order and choose how much condensed milk. I had the oat latte which still has their drip coffee. I thought it was a good taste. Definitely sweet. It has a lot of ice but it's the smaller crunchy ice. Overall I think I will be back to try other items on the menu if in the area. Ambiance is chill. It's a cute corner spot but I can't comment on how busy it can be. read more

Delicious coffee but plan ahead cause the caffeine was really strong as advertised haha!! Got to try the egg cream and ube cream flavors. Be sure to give them a good mix!! The viet coffee is strong and bitter by itself and nicely balanced by the creams. The egg cream one kinda reminded me of eggnog but not spiced. Also resembled the creamy egg flavors from Chinese custard buns. The ube cream had a subtle flavor but still came through with every sip consistently! While I liked the former, my partner preferred the latter. They also have a good range of Asian influenced baked goods. The salted egg yolk cookie had a great flavor and sweet-savory balance. The store has some seating but not a lot. Staff were not super friendly but at least polite. read more
I needed a caffeine kick, and the Viet coffee here absolutely hit the spot. My favorite was the coconut frappe for a subtly sweet and refreshing coconut-y flavor, but I also tried the black sesame cream coffee and really enjoyed the slightly salty & savory foam as well. Interior is small and cozy, with limited seating. Prices are definitely higher than expected, but I thought it was worth trying! read more
