There are many bubble tea/ assorted drinks spots opened around in Flushing, it's honestly hard to keep up with it. We went to Chayann on a Saturday afternoon and splurged on some great drinks we were excited to have. The specials looked delicious. I ordered one of the Strawberry Mochi drinks and the purple rice drink. The drinks were made fresh and delicious. My husband loved the Lychee drink. We ordered multiple drinks from our first trip here. When you spend a certain amount, you receive a free Keychain too. See your options at the register if you plan on getting to the amount. Chayann is beautifully decorated. Staff was helpful and friendly. Parking is available outside by the meter, however it is going to be hard to find a spot and better to walk around. All payments accepted. Since this first trip, we came back again.

Fried Egg with Crab Fillet Pressed Sandwich (yes that's corn in the sandwich)

One of the many bubble tea spots on Prince Street. I saw a BOGO Free (Thanksgiving) promo and figured I'd try them out. The service was friendly and quick. They do recommend 50% sugar and less ice, though I opted for 30% sugar. They have a order status screen, which does call out the order numbers when ready. They have a few window counter seating on the first floor and more seating upstairs. The Wuyi Rock Milk Tea is on the milky side, but you can taste the earthiness of the tea. It's not too sweet. I had the Iron Goddess (Tie Guan Yin) Milk Tea later in the day (refrigerated when I got home). It is also on the milky side, but can taste the tea. It is florally, which is not my favorite version of this tea. I prefer an earthier version. Also not too sweet. The Fried Egg with Crab Fillet Pressed Sandwich has corn in it, which although I like corn, that is not the sandwich I wanted! You mostly taste corn and mayo. The (imitation) crab and egg (couldn't even tell this was fried) are overpowered. Better off taking out the crab and calling this an Egg with Corn Pressed Sandwich. The bread was toasted nicely though. I ate the Taro Paste and Pork Floss Pressed Sandwich later (refrigerated and reheated by toaster oven). It toasted back up well. The taro paste is light in flavor, but compliments the pork floss. Overall, not impressed by this spot. Only appeal for this spot is the seating, wifi and outlets, which makes it feel like a nice cafe.

Chayann is a cozy, highly aesthetic boba spot specializing in floral teas. Enticed by the new boba spot in town and their Thanksgiving BOGO deal, we ordered the Osmanthus Milk Tea at the recommended 30% sugar level but it was still too sweet Sadly, the floral note was even more disappointing, instead of the subtle, tea like essence expected, the flavor felt artificial, resembling a strong, synthetic fragrance.

I don't know why this tea place is so empty on a Friday, but honestly, their tea is amazing! The flavors are unique, especially with the touch of popping barley beads -- healthy and such a fun twist that makes it stand out. There are plenty of seats upstairs, perfect for studying or getting some work done -- something rare to find after COVID. If I weren't rushing to work, I'd definitely stay longer. They have a great variety of teas, and my favorite so far is the Lychee Jasmine Tea -- it pairs perfectly with the popping barley. The staff is attentive and patient with your needs. Definitely my new go-to tea spot

My friend was sweet enough to grab some bubble tea for us and bring it all the way to the city, so I can't speak to the instore experience but she said the service was super fast and easy! The packaging alone is super cute especially for the holidays, the cup and the to-go bag too. She got me the osmanthus milk tea with less ice and 50% sugar. I don't think they have nondairy milk so I had to talk a lactaid but whole milk can be so yummy - I missed it! The tea itself was very tea-y and s, I think I could've done even less sugar next time. I really enjoyed the flavor, not all places have osmanthus which I really like!

Another bubble tea place in Flushing on Prince St! The best part of this place is that it has an upstairs seating area. They also have a variety of different teas besides the normal ones you see around the block. Upon walking in, I was greeted by the cashier who recommended me some drinks based on what kind of drinks I like previously. I came in for the free lychee keychain when I purchased 2 lychee drinks, but I ended up trying something else. I love a strong Chinese hot tea at home so I was surprised when I saw they have Da Hong Pao Milk Tea. I ordered that without any toppings because they don't have herbal/grass jelly which is my usual go-to. It is just what I imagined. So good! Would definitely be back to try other drinks and possibly to study upstairs. They also have a restroom!

Needed a warm drink on a cold day, walked in to this cute and cozy boba tea shop and ordered a Pistachio Jasmine milk tea. Wait time wasn't too long and was able to enjoy my drink in the heated shop. Shop has some really cute Winter decor, and even some window seatings. Drink itself tasted good, was hoping for more pistachio nutty flavor~it was slightly a bit too milky for my taste. Otherwise, a good boba tea shop

LOVE this spot in flushing! Finally a cafe where you can sit and do some work. -Their drinks are very comparable to Molly's tea -Great AC to beat the summer heat -Tons of natural light and it's pretty quiet upstairs -wifi and bathroom -has both tea and (small) coffee selection

Really cute new boba spot in Flushing. Feel like boba shops need to do a lot to standout here given the plethora of options at every corner, but Chayann really holds its own here. With deep rich tea flavors, this spot is perfect for anyone who really wants authentic milk TEA and not just sugary flavored milk. Rather than standing out with floral flavors like Molly Tea (which I also love), Chayann shows the depth of its tea with a variety of distinct tea flavors such as Rose Pu'Er (which I've only ever had at dimsum) and Lapsang Souchong (sweeter and deeper than a regular black tea with milk). I like to reduce sugar to make the tea flavor standout more and would recommend the same to all friends that come! Service is also good and staff really tries to help you choose your optimal drink. Their English isn't the best so would recommend speaking in Chinese if you can!

Finally stopped by to try it. They have a good selection of non milk and milk teas. I tried their new drink- Pistachio coconut peach ice tea. It was delicious. Really enjoyed all the components and the pistachio foam actually tastes like pistachio. The peach tea has good flavor and tea strength. Will have to come back to try more of their teas. Maybe one of their premium tea drinks that said is for tea drinkers. I'm a tea enthusiast but wanted to try their new drink this visit. There's additional seating space upstairs as well as a bathroom which was nice. They have free WiFi as well which is a nice perks

Pretty cups & pretty decorations can be deceiving to the eyes from the outside. Another new milk tea spot near Prince Street in Flushing. Why does Main St need another milk tea spot anyway? Why are all these new milk tea spots opening week after week competing with each other for the best decorations? Fast service from helpful & polite staff. Downstairs has like a forest theme while the ambiance of the upper level is 10/10 with real flowers everywhere like an indoor garden, if only I can say the same for the flavor wise as well. Huge seating area with plenty of wooden tables and comfy chairs. Clean restroom on the upper level. This space is bigger than most other places with just a storefront. Can be a great spot for spending time alone, as a couple or with friends. Even though there're wall outlets, I couldn't seem to charge my phone because they're either blocked or not working at all. There's a LED screen both upstairs and downstairs showing customers what number they're currently up to for drink pickups - so you're not just waiting around for your order. Overheard the girls next to me saying that their drinks are overloaded with sweetness although getting 50% sugar. I'd ordered a White Peach Oolong Milk Tea (木兆) with 50% sugar + no ice. Thought the taste of mine is bland & diluted instead, as in the ratio of the milk had overpowered the tea (70% vs 30%). Sadly, its tea flavor is like a tint smh. Shouldn't have listened to the staff's recommendation for its sweetness. They could be potentially successful in the future. Hopefully we'll see more improvement from Chayann too. One thing they need to fix is definitely the paper menu. I think they should hire someone to proofread everything right away. It's quite embarrassing to have found 10+ English grammatical errors or misspelled words in general especially the address when it's the most important part to begin with smh. Very questionable as in "How have they not noticed any of them by the way?" But as of now, I don't recommend the drinks (e.g. unmemorable + pricy + bland but pretty). Save your money, go somewhere else. I don't know about the pressed sandwiches, so I can't voice my opinion since I didn't order that.

This new beverage shop opened last week and emphasize their floral fresh milk tea products. We checked them out over the weekend and tried three different flavors. I think the Wuyi Rock Milk Tea and Lapsang Souchong Black Milk Tea were both excellent because you can really taste the tea. Iron Goddess Milk Tea was slightly weaker, but still very good. We ordered all drinks with less ice and 50% sugar level. Like most new tea shops, the packaging is wonderful. The paper cups itself is made of thick material, while the covers are made of quality hard plastic. The carry away bags are nicely designed and given to every take out order. They have two levels and the interior design is quite nice. Mostly white walls with green and floral accents. Second floor has a beautiful space with lots of seating and therefore a good place to meet a friend. I certainly will keep this spot in mind for future meetings in Flushing.

In case you're wondering what happened to Molly Tea:…read more Here's the Real Tea (per Google): The "Molly Tea scandal" is an international franchise dispute involving the Shenzhen-based parent company of the trendy Chinese tea chain and its US franchise operators. A court injunction barred the US operators from using the brand's trademarks, forcing a viral rebrand to "? Tea" in New York. Headquarters' Allegations: According to court documents, the corporate office revoked the operators' trademark rights after claiming: - Unauthorized Expansions: The US operator opened a Los Angeles location without prior corporate approval. - Unapproved Ingredients: The franchise was sourcing ingredients independently, violating strict corporate quality and recipe standards. - Hiding Profits: Headquarters accused the operators of voiding their contract by allegedly hiding store revenues and bypassing royalty payments. The Franchisee's Perspective: The US operators disputed the claims. Before the courts stepped in, franchisees alleged that corporate HQ had attempted to aggressively renegotiate the ownership equity, attempting to slash the operator's share from 80% to 30% after the US locations proved highly lucrative. Current Status & Rebranding: Due to the legal injunction, the affected stores were forced to scrub the name "Molly Tea" from their storefronts, uniforms, and delivery apps. The operator complied by covering up the logos and using hand-drawn question marks on cups, quickly earning the nickname "? Tea" among fans.
