I do like the setup at this place. The ordering system is a large screen displaying all the items clearly, and the whole process is straightforward. You can get your order quickly, and that kind of forward thinking is something I genuinely appreciate. The egg waffle mini pancakes, however, were a bit of a letdown. The flavor just was not there, and that was disappointing. Wifey pointed out that they were not as soft on the inside as they should be, which was a miss for her. At six dollars a pop, you would at least expect them to hold up against the ones you used to grab from street vendors for $1 back in the day. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
This tea shop is by an entrance of Tangram. If you have passed by before, you've probably been hit with the smell of black tea or their bubble waffle batter cooking. Similar to a lot of the bubble tea places around, getting service is very easy as you order from a kiosk. I usually come here to try out different fillings in these bubble waffles because they have a lot of interesting different types but this time I saw that they started adding pineapple bun topping on top of the bubble waffles as well! I was super excited because I have only seen that being done in Hong Kong so far. I really enjoyed the sweet topping as it added an extra texture to my bubble waffle, however, my sister and her boyfriend got the original waffles and it was pretty disappointing. We are use to our bubble waffles being nice and crispy and even though the flavor was on point, the texture of their fell extremely flat even though we ate it while it was fresh. I will be back to try different ones of their bubble waffles in the future and hope that this was just a onetime thing.

They do have a few tables to sit down and eat-in. I like their HK milk teas and their egg waffles. I wanted to try the pineapple bun topping with egg waffles. That is only available at this Flushing location. I got the pineapple bun regular egg waffle and also the pineapple bun egg waffle with egg tart filling. I had tried their egg tart filling egg waffles before and that is my favorite one because it's moist and sweeter. These waffles came in a container instead of just a paper wrap. I like the one with egg tart filling better. The pineapple bun topping is a bit dry and crumbly. It looks really nice though, but I still prefer the egg tarts without the topping. I like that they're always coming out with different flavors to try.

This weekend was my first time trying Cuppa Tea in the Tangram mall. I always passed by it when I go to Pop Mart and finally I gave it a try. I was disappointed at the waiting time that I had to wait for my milk tea, matcha egg waffles, and pineapple buttered bun. I had to wait 25 minutes for my whole order to be ready! It was ridiculous waiting for that long! I placed my order with the self kiosk and it was that long! I couldn't believe it. There were 4 self kiosks in total and many people placing their orders. It was that popular and crowded. I tried out their milk tea and it was Hong Kong style. It was just the right amount of sweetness to make the tea good and not bitter. The matcha egg waffle was a bit greasy and broke apart when I looked into the bag. It was a lot of egg waffle pieces. Not sweet at all and somewhat slightly matcha in my mouth. It was not that strong of a matcha flavor that I really wanted out of it. The pineapple bun with the butter was very delicious with the butter even though it is fattening! I know I'm going to get high cholesterol from this but it was so worth it to try out the bun with the piece of butter. The self kiosk allowed me to put the butter aside or in the bun. Luckily I tried out the bun with the butter. Next time I might get it again if I pass by here.

The store has kiosk to order items and a pick up area to pick up your items. There are a couple of seats for people to sit down and enjoy their food. I ordered a bubble tea and a pineapple bun. The bubble tea is great. I like the presentation of the pineapple burn. However, the butter tasted a bit weird. It tasted like a fridge taste.

It lacked flavor and took a while to make. The plain one was already sitting there, it was not a fresh one so it was cold. You order through the kiosk, did not have much interaction with the staff.

This store is stuck behind in the corner between regal cinema and popmart. It was quiet on a Monday afternoon while the food court 300 ft away was busy. Upon first entry, my first impression was feeling warm. It was an open kitchen style and you can feel the heat of the oven. I do like the ease of ordering via self service kiosk. We ordered: Pineapple bun with egg waffle $10.70. I was disappointed to see that it wasn't cooked fresh. They were premade and warmed up in the oven. Egg waffle was crispy but not fresh. Pineapple bun top was not crispy but powder like. For $11 worth of egg waffle, I would expect better quality. Fresh lemon black tea: $6.75. E ordered less ice but still a lot of ice. Lots of fresh lemon flavor but lacking tea flavor. Coconut mango drink $8.75. This was ok. My kids like it. We sat down despite the store temperature was warm. The egg waffle was supposed to be the highlight of the visit but disappointing. Drinks are ok which the same quality can be found in other competitors. I came back to Cuppa Tea and ordered at the kiosk. I got the Signature Hk Milk Tea (iced) and added pearls. Last time, I had gotten the glass bottle so I didn't need it again this time. The Signature Hk Milk Tea is very good. It is smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet. The pearls were great and not overly chewy. My husband got the Mango Passionfruit Jelly Iced Tea and he really enjoyed it. It was very refreshing. After ordering, it doesn't take long for it to be ready (less than 10 minutes). You can also track on the screens if your drink is in progress or ready. Staff were friendly. Next time, I definitely want to try the Pineapple Butter Bun and egg waffles. Tried their egg waffle and unfortunately they were pretty bad :( even though they were made to order, my egg waffle got cold while I was waiting for the second egg waffle to be made. They were not crispy at all and was quite soggy. There was not much flavor to it other than the fact that they were sweet. Came for the popular egg tart egg waffle and it was overall good but not something I would wait an hour for (which is the usual wait time). Staff was aloof and while focused on their work, they weren't friendly with customers. The space is wheelchair and baby stroller accessible, on a bright note. However, seating area is rather narrow and not very comfortable when there is a line of people waiting for their orders, which is common. This place has one of the best HK Milk Tea. The velvet milk tea is very smooth. The egglets (bubble waffles) are soft in the inside. The warm pineapple bun with a slab of butter is delicious though not good for folks with high cholesterol. The lemon tea brings back childhood memories. You go to the kiosks to order using a debit/credit card or go to the counter to pay in cash. The employees call your number to have you come pick up your items. Go enjoy! read more

This shop is located on the far side of Tangram mall and another entrance on Prince street. I ordered on the kiosk instead of their app, because I wasn't able to. Luckily, it wasn't crowded so the kiosk was free to use. I tried a couple of their snacks. The aroma from the shop always suck me in. Pineapple bun with butter - not bad. I took it to-go, and the butter can be put aside for you. Heat up the bun when I got home and stuck the cold butter inside. Hong Kong milk tea - cute bottle it comes in. The tea flavor isn't as strong as I would like, but it hits the spot when I have cravings. Pork floss egg waffle - not worth it. I could taste vanilla flavor more than egg. Too skimpy on the pork floss, so I could barely taste anything. Out of the 30 pieces (should be 30), I could only taste about 3 that has. Salted egg egg waffle - this is my favorite and why I come. Stick to this if you like salty sweet combinations. Although, the salted egg is subtle, it is noticeable. Egg waffle is what I crave for very often and not much places makes it anymore. read more

Although we didn't get a drink here, it's all about their Pineapple Butter Bun ($3.65). Once you're inside, the sweet aroma of the baked goods surround you. They also have various options for egg waffles too, but just tried the pineapple bun, which was delicious. It is warm and soft sandwiching a chunk of butter to give it an extra creaminess. The glass bottles for the signature Hong Kong milk tea were super cute, but I managed to restrain myself from buying another bottle I didn't need. The Pineapple Butter Bun is so good! You would think that the slice of butter would be too much, but it's really the perfect amount when it melts into the warm bun. The Signature Hong Kong Milk Tea with Foam Cap and boba is creamy, and this is my favorite HK Milk Tea I've tried yet. The boba is chewy and pairs so well with the foam cap. Since it was busy during the weekend, it took about 15 minutes to get our orders. There's some seating, but it might be hard to snag a table. read more

We went here because we wanted to try the pineapple bun for a snack, so we got that with butter, curry fish balls, and a coconut milk with watermelon. It was a weekend so it was overwhelmingly packed and a bit crowded and there's definitely a bit of a wait time, but it was easy to order. Our favorite was the coconut milk with watermelon - it was so delicious and I would absolutely get them again. We ordered (rating): Amber Pearl Pudding Milk Tea (2.3/5), Coconut Mango with Clear Jelly (3/5) They unfortunately ran out of their Hong Kong Milk Tea that everyone seems to talk about when it comes to Cuppa Tea, so I went with their Amber Pearl Pudding Milk Tea. Even though it sounded like this would be some kind of special milk tea, this tasted like straight up Chinatown bakery bubble tea (think your Fay Da or Taipan) except it keeps the price tag of a bougie boba place. I found the boba to be oddly slimy and slippery. They also taste like nothing, and sometimes boba just tastes like nothing and it's completely fine, but these tasted so much like nothing that a note I have is that they actively taste like nothing. My friend got the coconut mango, which only comes with a 'less sugar' option, and she found it to be too sweet. She let me try a little and I found it to taste like mango candy rather than a fresh mango drink. The brightest spot was for sure the pineapple bun, which came out warm and with a pad of butter inside that slowly melted from the heat of the bun. From the times I've been there, it's always been included with the HK Signature Milk Tea. Although I think it's possible for them to run out. It is a pricey milk tea at $6 but the bottle does typically come with it.

I tried it cold and it was very good and authentic (i have traveled to HK before). I am sure if you tried it hot, it will be tasty as well.
