Took my car to the shop and had them check it out, they got me my estimate and guided me through the process of contacting my claim adjuster, and what to expect in the upcoming weeks. They were very friendly and welcoming, provided me with a lot of information I didn't know beforehand, and were able to answer all the questions I had regarding the shop, my vehicle, and insurance. They kept in contact with me to ensure that they'll have the parts on-hand once I received my rental car and can start repairs asap. Dropped off my car on a Monday and it was ready to go by Friday! I had a fender liner replacement, bumper replacement + paint, and fog light installation. Anything extra that may be needed (such as ordering a new emblem), they contacted me. They were super easy to communicate with and were very professional. Once I picked up my car, they had me check everything to ensure it was all good. It was fun talking to everyone here. They have a lot of experience and knowledge in repairing and maintaining vehicles, specializing in JDM cars, too. While I was waiting, I saw people from local shops dropping by just to hang out for a bit, they made sure their clients understood the process and cleared up any confusion before they left, it felt very community oriented. The first time I brought my car in to fix an engine light issue with my oxygen sensor on my Honda accord, he helped recommend a better brand and was honest and helpful. I now have brought my CX5 to him multiple times already for his expert opinion on different issues and for regular maintenance. He's always very responsive, easy to get a hold of, and willing to share his knowledge and expertise. Recently, I brought in a long list of items to be fixed from the dealership, and he was honest in what he thought needed to be done more urgently vs not, and his prices were also much more reasonable. He was kind enough to help me as well with replacing my car battery and windshield wipers. He was hit with multiple citations which he never paid. So, if anything goes wrong with your vehicle, no one will have your back. So make a wise decision. On May 5 I dropped my VW Atlas at his shop to install a new fuel tank strap. He checked the vehicle and told me that the job is going to cost me $185-200 for the labor as I had provided him the part. As per him, he said the vehicle will be ready tomorrow around noon. The next morning he called me around 9-10am and told me that we have a bigger problem. He said in order for him to install the strap, he would have to remove the whole underbody of my car, and it's a 15-hour labor job, and he quoted me $700. I trusted him and agreed on that. He said my vehicle won't be ready until tomorrow by end of the day, as it's a very big job. He called me after 5-6 hours and said my vehicle is ready and work is done. It was strange that he said a few hours ago that it's a big job and it's going to take a straight 15 hours, and now how come he was able to get it done in 4-5 hours? I arrived at the shop and asked him how he was able to complete the work in just 4-5 hours, as on the phone he told me that he would have to remove the whole underbody and put it back. He said he had to bring 3 other mechanics to work on my car just to get the job done faster. A day before, he told me that he is the one many armies and doesn't have any employees. So, he paid 3 mechanics out of the $700 job just to get the work done faster even though we agreed on the next day evening. What he said was not believable; however, I paid him the money. The invoice he gave me was very vague, and it had no labor hours mentioned. The next day I called him and asked him if he took pictures before taking the fuel tank and underbody off. Normally any auto body repair shop or any mechanic takes pictures of everything for a job this big for liability purposes. I asked for his CCTV, which he declined also. I checked my VW app history when he had my vehicle. It had not shown any history or activity of the fuel tank or any part being taken off from it. It shows every small update of vehicle activity, but I had no sign of it. I confronted him about providing me proof that he had taken the whole underbody apart and put it back; he kept making excuses and disconnected the phone.
