On April 21, 2025, I took my car to Auto Stop because it was leaking oil. I had been using them for…read moreoil changes and had always been happy with that service, so I trusted them with this repair. They diagnosed the source of the oil leak, and because I have an extended warranty, I went through the warranty process and authorized the repair. Their labor rates exceeded what my warranty would cover, so I paid the difference out of pocket. Unfortunately, this is where my experience went downhill. After the repair, my car continued leaking oil for more than a year. I brought it back multiple times, and each visit resulted in another attempt to fix the problem, usually by adding more gaskets. It became clear that they were taking shortcuts rather than properly diagnosing and repairing the issue. At one point, I discovered they had even stuffed rags around the oil pan. After several unsuccessful repair attempts, Auto Stop finally admitted they could not fix the problem. To make matters worse, during the course of their repeated repair attempts, they damaged the upper oil pan. Their only recommendation at that point was to take the vehicle to the dealership. That's exactly what I had to do. The dealership corrected the original oil leak and repaired the additional damage caused during Auto Stop's failed repair attempts, leaving me to pay for work that could have been avoided. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Auto Stop. What should have been a straightforward repair turned into more than a year of frustration, repeated trips back to the shop, additional damage to my vehicle, and significant extra expense.

I used Yelp to put a blanket request for the Sacramento area, and Stress Free Auto reached out right away! I was able to take my car in first thing the next morning and was greeted in such a friendly and warm way. Knowing they had a few jobs ahead of me, they called a niiiice Lyft and made sure I got home free of charge! From there the communication was excellent. There were continual texts that provided information about their progress not only with searching for the main problem, but also a general overall inspection of my vehicle. Once complete they sent me an estimate, I called to coordinate which things I wanted repaired/addressed, and they sent over a finalized quote that I signed immediately. It was quick, informative, and quite literally stress free The main problem was a cracked exhaust manifold. Seems like an extensive repair, right? Well, they let me know later that afternoon that they were done! Amazing same day service! Absolutely incredible. It's been a month since the repair and I haven't had any issues. So, in my book, that's a job well done! The only small gripe I have is the cost. Again, it was same day service, so it's understandable that I might have paid more than I would have at another local shop, but they did offer a discount on the initial inspection cost. Some other shops roll the inspection cost into the cost of repairs, but unfortunately Stress Free doesn't do that. Plus, a couple of suggested repairs were somewhat of a laughable cost. If memory serves, they quoted me around $60 to replace wipers. I'm not sure if it was a quote for all 3, or just one, but I spent $15 on a wiper on the way home and installed it myself. Whatever, they are trying to make money! Despite my small price gripe, I will be using Stress Free in the future for any vehicle concerns I have!

He inspected them and showed me how each one was clean, dry, and completely fine. He then inspected the rest of the engine compartment and the undercarriage and showed me that it was all in great shape. Finally, he noticed that a previous mechanic had removed the plastic shroud for my front wheel wells and failed to install new clips to secure the shroud afterward. I had wondered about the gap he noticed for years, but I didn't realize it was anything other than wear and tear. He replaced the clips for no extra charge. I know it seems like a small thing, but to me, it speaks clearly to Roland's character: I believe he genuinely cares about doing right by his customers and taking good care of their cars. When I asked him about some issues with electronic parts on my car (e.g. a digital dashboard display), he let me know that his area of focus was mechanical service and advised me to take my car to an electrical auto shop. I was grateful that he knew the limits of his expertise, communicated them clearly, and stuck to them. I felt his quoted price was quite reasonable, and even after he performed more work than requested (still within about a 1-hour time slot), he stuck to his original price quote. I am very happy with the service he provided and the price I paid! I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Rolland came to my house and went straight to working on the fuse box without having made sure the…read morehigh voltage system of my Prius C was disconnected. Major red flag #1. He spent 40 minutes prying at different parts and trying to forcefully remove my fuse box to get to the 100A fusible link that I had to tell him was located beneath and the assembly had to be unbolted to get to it from underneath. After 40 minutes of painfully watching him attempt to force things open. I politely asked him to stop as it was obvious he didn't know what he was doing and broke a few components off my housing. I tried calling him to let him know of the damages. He denied responsibility and said he was only at my house for 5 minutes. He told me to never contact him again and failed to respond to the before and after photos I sent. Do not trust this shady business. What went from a lb easy replacement of a 100A that I could have done myself but did not have the time to do so, resulted in several hundred dollars of parts in addition to more for labor due to gross incompetence. DO NOT TRUST HIM!

It was a smooth booking process online, I was able to schedule a 11:30am appointment. Location was easy to find in downtown and has enough parking space. Went into the office to check in around 11:23am. However found out the technician that does smog went out to lunch and will be back in an hour. So I will have to wait and come back. I was not expecting that and was slightly annoyed since I made the appointment time for 11:30am and expected to be done in 30 minutes and get back to work. If there was an appointment time available and someone booked it, I would expect a business to honor the customer's time and continue with the business before going on lunch. If an employee is to go to lunch, then do not make that time available for booking. So I gave the business the benefit of the doubt and just went with it...I just dropped the car off and walked to a near by area for lunch and wait for an hour and half. Overall, my smog check was done a little before 1pm with under 8 minutes to spare. It was done at the time they promised..and the person in the office was nice. All in all..I'm okay with the visit..probably will come back but probably will not book an appointment at 11:30am again, maybe earlier or later. But do check it out for your smog test..

I brought my vehicle to Relux Collision for body and paint repairs through a third-party insurance…read moreclaim. Relux made a great first impression and initially appeared to be a professional, reputable shop. Unfortunately, as the repair process continued, my experience gradually declined due to repeated mistakes, poor workmanship, and a lack of accountability. When I picked up my vehicle, the newly painted front bumper did not match the rest of the vehicle. The color difference was obvious. Relux's proposed solution was to blend the paint into the hood. I argued that the insurance company should also approve blending the adjacent fenders to achieve a proper color transition. To make matters worse, Relux forgot to reinstall my front lip, requiring me to make another trip back to the shop. The insurance company later denied Relux's supplemental request after their adjuster determined the color mismatch was due to poor color matching by the shop and was therefore Relux's responsibility to correct and not the insurance company's. I initially believed the denial was simply the insurance company refusing to pay, but that was not the case. Throughout the process, Relux never accepted responsibility for the issues. I agreed to let them repaint the bumper because I wanted the repair done correctly, with the understanding that they would start over and achieve a closer factory color match. During my second visit, I performed a more thorough inspection and noticed the bumper was also misaligned, with the driver's side corner sitting higher than the passenger side. I pointed this out and was told it would take about five minutes to fix. While waiting, I heard loud tapping coming from the shop and hoped it wasn't being done on my vehicle. After taking my car home, I noticed something new. In the exact area where the bumper had been realigned, the paint now showed several small dents or impressions that became visible under certain lighting conditions. I returned to Relux to address the damage. Several employees gathered around my vehicle which felt aggressive, but instead of acknowledging the issue, I was met with excuses. Eventually, the manager, Gain, came out and told me they would not be helping me any further because they had already "gone above and beyond." Gain even told me, "If you find another shop to address or fix it, have them give me a call." When I asked him to clarify, he said he would pay for the repairs if it was within reason. I then asked if he would put that commitment in writing, but he refused. By that point, I was completely exhausted and frustrated by the entire experience. After multiple return visits, repeated issues, and what I felt was a constant effort to deflect responsibility, I decided to leave. I walked away feeling like my concerns were being dismissed rather than genuinely addressed. From my perspective, going above and beyond would have meant taking accountability, correcting the color match properly the first time, reinstalling parts that were removed, and ensuring no additional damage occurred during the repair process. Instead, I left with a vehicle that required multiple return visits, had paint quality concerns, fitment issues, and ultimately new damage that the shop refused to address. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Relux Collision at this time. If quality workmanship and accountability are important to you, I would encourage you to carefully inspect any repairs before accepting your vehicle. Do be so easily enticed as i was with their deductible assistance unless you're okay with C-grade work. They also entice you to write them reviews in exchange for $25 gift cards if that tells you something about their online reputation.

In February of 2017, less than a week after I bought my car, a couple of jerks were joy riding down…read morethe street and shooting out the windows of parked cars. Only I'm extra lucky because they missed the window, but got the door instead. Took the paint off. The repair was going to be $1000 bucks. The exact amount of my deductible. So I decided to live with it for awhile. A few months down the road, another jerk keyed the trunk of my car. Cut to last week, ground maintenance at work was using a weed whacker and whacked something at my car, breaking a window. (Sigh) The window I couldn't ignore. I called around and found Global Auto Repair & Glass. After I brought them my car, they gave me a ride back to work. A few hours later they came and picked me up. Glass repaired, like it never happened. I talked to them about the BB gun dent and the keyed back bumper. Mentioned my high deductible. He said they'd do it all for $850. Hot dog! I got my car back today and it's like the damage never existed. I feel so much better.
