Although you have to leave your vehicle there all day. His drop off time was 9am I believe and I got there at 9:45am thinking it was supposed to be dropped at 10am. I waited a while before the rude gentleman opened the window. He was not friendly and came off very cold. I told him I understood they have to follow policy and I would like to set a new time for the vehicle. He listed off the available times and dates quickly. I asked him to repeat them. In that same moment I realized it may be best to avoid coming back in there dealing with this. So I asked if they had any appointments available for them to come to the house. He huffed and said give him a min. He proceeded to book an at home visit. I gave him my nephews contact info for the appointment because this is his car. Once I walked out I called my nephew and let him know he'd receive a text for the updated appointment. The guy had booked my nephew for the same day at 1pm at his house. ( clearly a mistake) my nephew received a call just before his appointment time saying the Safelite team member had left for the day. (I'm sure that wasn't true) but they rescheduled him for the following week. My nephews actual service went fine. But the encounter at the actual location was uncalled for and actions should be taken to correct negative employee behavior especially when interacting with paying customers.

Sam was the installer of my windshield and neglected to inform me that he damaged the plastic cowling at the bottom of the windshield.. He tried to hide it and hope that I didn't notice. When I asked about the cowling, I was greeted with "all of these older F-150's get like that and there's nothing I can do." My truck isn't a 1980! It's a 2019! I expect my truck to be returned to me in the same condition that I dropped it off in. I have dealt with other Safelite locations in the past and never had issues but this location is garbage!!!!! I subsequently came to learn all about the benefits of PPF (short for "Paint Protection Film") from Mr. David Dugan at Ceramic Pro/NXT Wraps. http://www.ceramicpro.com/aftercare. Not only did Mr. Dugan explain his after-market exterior paint and interior vehicle protection services, but he did so thoroughly and patiently. Days after taking delivery of my new Tesla, I turned it over to Mr. Dugan and his team at their shop in White Plains, MD (near Waldorf). I opted for PPF to provide front end paint protection, coupled with a Ceramic Coating on the entire exterior of my Tesla to help maintain its luster. Aside from providing phenomenal shine (in fact SHINIER than when I dropped off my 3-day old brand new car), the peace of mind knowing that my Ultra Red paint would be far less impacted by environmental factors was the decision point for me. I learned that PPF and the ceramic coating combined reduce the risk of rock chips and road debris penetrating or spoiling the paint. Plus, the ceramic window tint protects the interior from the deleterious effects of summer sun. The ceramic tint I selected results in almost 90% heat rejection, which is a huge bonus since Tesla's have soooo much in-cabin sun exposure. In fact, I elected to tint all windows, including the windshield and panoramic roof, where Tesla drivers are most impacted by hot sun and damaging UV rays. Side note... whether you live in DC, MD, or VA, Mr. Dugan is knowledgeable about window tint laws and will give top notch recommendations. The Outcome: In about 3 days, I picked up my VERY shiny, wonderfully protected Tesla and was overjoyed! The pictures speak for themselves... check them out! It was storming on the day I picked up my Tesla and the water beaded and rolled off quite nicely. No streaks or water stains the next morning either! Bottom line... Don't hesitate to work with Mr. Dugan and team for exterior and interior protection options for your car (either brand-new or once-new). I recently ordered glass from this shop for a curio cabinet, gave the measurements and prepaid the…read moreorder over the phone. After receiving the order and attempting to install the shelves, I found that the glass was cut 1/4" too big on one side. I contacted the shop immediately and talked to a gentleman that confirmed they made a mistake in the cut and said bring the glass back and the issue would be corrected. When I arrived, I was met by another person that turns out to be the owner (John), that became immediately confrontational when I explained that the measurements given were 11-1/4" x 20-3/4", (the receipt had printed on it 11-1/2" x 20-3/4"). When I showed him the notes on my phone with the measurements given, he went on to say I was lying about the correct measurements being given. Short afterwards, the initial person that I talked to on the phone came back into the office and stated that the measurements he was given were 11-1/4" x 20-3/4". The owner (John) still continued on being belligerent and unprofessional, claiming he was not going to fix the issue and yelled out for me to leave his shop without a refund or he was going to call the police. His tune changed when I told him to call them, but I'm was not leaving without a refund. When my wife called to give the card number to have her credit card refunded, he told her in an unprofessional tone that he felt sorry for her. There are other glass shops in the Waldorf/LaPlata area that I would recommend. I have to give one star only because no stars is not an option.
