Free crafted beverage on Mondays for capital one customers
    Alessandra C.

Very affordable and clean coffee shop proudly sponsored by Capital One! I had no idea that Capital One had such cafes. Note that this is not a branch offering all bank services -- they're limited on what they can do so based on my own experience if you're looking for banking assistance I highly recommend calling in before to see if they'd be able to assist you with that at the location. From what I gathered, their focus in these Cafes is checking and savings accounts, anything credit card related should be handled by their call center. If you're a Capital One customer you get 50% off any beverage and a free crafted beverage on Mondays (not sure how this promo will last though). Items are worth the price after the 50% the discount. My turmeric iced latte was quite refreshing.

Loved this cafe! As a capital one employee, when I'm in a city with a cafe i always try to stop in and this one in Boulder was very inviting and well-decorated. They even had little freebie branded coin pouches! I had a latte and it was the perfect treat on a cold day walking down the Pearl street strip. So yummy, with peppermint infusion for the holiday season. Signage in the store prompted me to open a capital one debit card (i didn't have any before!) as they offer lots of rewards to those who open new accounts. Can't wait to come back to boulder and try another treat.

Cute little place in downtown Boulder. I got the hibiscus elderberry iced tea and it was delicious. Bright and airy inside with a couple of tables outside.

Ambiance is upbeat and welcoming, service is friendly, and their coffee menu is a delight. Plus, as a cardholder you get 50% off bar made coffees so this is a stop I always want to make. The hangout area is expansive and overall it's a great set-up.

Located in the Pear Street Mall on Pearl St & 13th St. I was so excited to see this café as a Capital One customer. Specially seeing so many friendly and welcoming staff members, probably one of the friendliest staff I've encountered. That's the result of excellent management. I ordered an 'Iced Chai Tea Latte', and it tasted delicious... best of all, I was happy to receive a discounted price as I paid with my Capital One card. The lobby is so clean, organized, spacious & perfect for studying or getting work done. Overall, we had a great experience at this café.

HUGE fan of this place!!! As of now, they don't have food (I think this will be changing soon), which has been nice because I can bring my dog inside the cafe and do work all day without worrying about him being stuck at home. They even gave us a little doggie water bowl last time we were here! The cafe has two enclosed work spaces that are first come, first serve, and it has been amazing to sit here and hammer out my thesis everyday. The room minimizes outside noise, which really helps get you in the work zone. If you are a student or a non-profit, you can book the bigger conference room for free for 2hrs/day. It has been great for practicing presentations and working with larger groups. The best part about this whole cafe (besides the 50% off drinks with a Capital One card) is the staff. They are some of the nicest humans and have frequently given out free drink cards just for hanging out. The vibe of this cafe is far from the corporate scene I expected to walk into when I first came to this cafe. I will continue recommending this place to anyone who needs a WFH location or who just wants to chat with lovely humans :)

It took me awhile to enter and explore this business as I was deeply saddened by the departure of what resided there before (Boulder Cafe). My tune began to change its beat when I was treated to fresh waffles on my way to attend Pearl Street Band On The Bricks. They had a lovely spread just outside the cafe with the waffle iron running and toppings galore. Did I mention that it was free? While this little store is indeed part cafe, part bank it sure does offer a whole lot to our community. There are frequent and free educational events (there's an upcoming meet and greet with John the President of Boulder Chamber of Commerce!), free Peet's coffee/tea all day Monday and Friday (just bring your own mug during what they call Eco Happy Hour), complimentary umbrellas to borrow (oh, and when you return the umbrella they treat you to a free Peet's coffee. Double score!) and free yummy snacks from time to time. I always look forward to my visits every Monday and Wednesday for Eco Happy Hour. As this is part bank the hard working baristas are not allowed to have a tip jar out on the counter. I'm happy to confirm that they are allowed to accept them - so be sure to treat them right!

A bank and a coffeehouse in one place? That's so money!! I've passed by this place a few times in Boulder and always wondered what exactly it was about and finally stopped in this weekend. I'm totally digging the innovative idea that Capital One and Peet's is putting out because the last thing I want to do is go to the bank and have my personal banker gift me with crappy coffee. So they have a swanky coffee bar now so you can grab a drink and do your business. The best part is that Capital One customers get 50% off their drink order--what's not to love about that? The set up is very minimalistic but very modern as well, they welcome you to come on it, get some java, do banking business if you need to do or set up at their charging stations and do your thing! Sure happy to be a Capital One customer when they're thinking of cool ideas like this!

While perusing Pearl Street Mall, I happen upon this location and was quite pleased with the service. The employees are friendly and polite and will happily fulfill your coffee/tea order with ease. While waiting for your order to be finished there is many different surveys that you can fill out by writing the answer on a Post-it note and sticking it up on a board. The bank employees are friendly and smile as you enter. Every Monday and Friday they have all day happy hour, all you have to do is bring in your own favorite drink mug or Thermos and they will fill it up for free!

Chase and these old school banks really need to go away to be replaced by something much better. Made an appointment online with Chris Downing who was nice enough to call yesterday to tell me he was the wrong person to be booked with. Error #1. That instead i would talk to Dustin. I am on time, why can Chase not be on time for its customers???? Are you busy collecting the $39 obscene charges you hit your customers with? What about the numbers you mix up so the EIDL grant never comes through from the SBA and is lost forever. Chase seems to be incompetent. Great web developers, great website, horrific experience doing anything but online banking with these shmucks.

I was here to pay off a loan that was refinanced by my credit union and it seemed easier to just walk the check in than to send it off to a PO Box somewhere. When I walked in there was a greeter asking the reason for my visit, and when I explained, I was walked over to the line to speak to a teller. I think the teller might have been in training, because the young man behind her quickly stepped in to help with my somewhat unusual request. Then he involved the guy at the drive-up. To make a long story short, several people got involved in the transaction I needed to have done because it was out of the ordinary, but throughout the whole thing, everyone had a smile on their face and seemed happy to help find me the answer. They invited me to have a seat in their cozy lobby while they figured things out. In summary, I give the folks at this branch four stars for the amount of service they gave and their professional demeanor and positive attitude. Wells Fargo Bank itself probably deserves one star for the fact that they're a money-grubbing bank who fees its customers to death, but we'll leave that out of it for now and lean towards the employees at this branch who give amazing customer service. If it wasn't for the red tape they had to wade through to make the transaction happen, they would have gotten a solid 5.

Avoid this branch at all costs-they will leave you to wait and wait - even three employees putting their heads together cannot manage a simple task. Today was sort of the last straw with this branch: I was told by the blond lady in a red jacket that they would be right with me, which was fine. However, instead of helping me (there were many people behind the counter and I was the only person in line), one of the employees was dismissed (she clocked out and left the bank) and the red jacket ignored me and turned to another task. If you go to the downtown branch, the tellers are far more professional. If you need help with premier checking matters, it's probably best to go directly through your broker or switch to another bank altogether.

In fact, at the main location in Boulder, I have worked with a personal banker for several years who is probably the best I have dealt with at any bank, in decades. But the main location downtown on Pearl is not so easy to use for convenient quick access. However, Wells Fargo recently closed the convenience banking, drive up and ATM location near my home that I have used for decades. And sold the property. So it was time to research and find a new such location from their multiple other sites in town. I tried a few and this one turned out to be the best for me. The first two I tried were not satisfactory for me for various reasons, location access, my travel patterns and staff friendliness. This location was a good fit. It's right between Target and Trader Joe's, where I go all the time though quite a bit farther from home than my long term location. It's easy to park and use the ATM. And for a few items, I have needed to step in and use the tellers and I was immediately greeted, no lines at the tellers and everyone was friendly. And a bright clean decor. So this is the one for now.

The machine actually suggested I ramp up my hot cocoa to a peppermint one - and suggested I add some peppermint tea - how creative. Human errors not forgiven…read more.. If you ever want to know how a "favorite" credit union handles customer service, accidentally make a "human" error on a payment. I did just that! The amount of credit card charges on last month's statement came to $595.69. I pay my statements - in full - monthly. In error I read - and made last month's payment - for $595.64 - technically .05 short of the statement amount. This month, an additional charge of $7.86 appeared on this month's statement - apparently representing interest charges for the "human" error I'd made in making last month's statement payment (actually, statement font is also relatively small). Thinking that the solution would be relatively simple, I'd call; tell the truth ("I made a mistake"), beg for forgiveness ("this is the first time I've ever done this")...and try to bring some "reality" (read: "humanness") to the situation ("since I'm a good, consistent customer...can you waive this fee"). Here's the OUTCOME...I MUST pay the EXACT amount on this month's statement ($579.18 - which besides credit card charges for the month includes the $7.86 interest charge for the "human" error made in misreading and paying last month's statement). Once this month's payment has been received by them, they will "take it under consideration" whether to "credit back" that interest charge onto next month's statement. Looks like this particular credit union 1) has little regard for "human" error; 2) struggles with recognizing "reality" - yikes for a measly .05; 3) that they would force, make and put a trusted, reliable customer (for over 30 years) through this kind of hoop-jumping torture. After 30 minutes on the phone with this financial institution, I've definitely learned a lesson. Truly ridiculous MY ADVICE: consider other financial institutions for your credit card needs. I've never encountered this type of twisted "customer service" from the folks at Chase. Maybe it's time to switch to only using them?!
