I've been to Short Pump several times and have never known there is a coffee shop inside. It's very spacious and inviting atmosphere. There is a lot of seating. I tried the blueberry matcha and is was surprisingly really good because matcha is really hard to find in this area and really hard to find GOOD matcha. The service here is great. Came this way for assistance opening up a joint capital one savings account and to get coffee and didn't expect much on the coffee side. First of all, a handsome gentleman with a magnificent mustache greeted us with a great attitude (Later we discovered his name was Chris, he helped us out SO much later on and totally deserves a raise). We told him why we were here and he explained to us the process of doing it on our phones and told us to get our coffee and one we get started he'd provide any help we needed. The cashier was also super kind and the coffee menu looked great. We both got seasonal coffees which were AMAZING! When Chris had to leave, a very friendly woman named Wai (also amazing and deserves a raise) took over who was able to call support for us when we forgot to enter a promo code when starting up a checking account so we could get the bonus money! She was great to chat with and had a lot of wonderful recommendations. Would totally come back just for coffee and vibes. The Bartsia was nice and recommended some Customer favorites to order. Currently capital one Café is serving their seasonal holiday iced mint mocha drink. The smooth blend of chocolate, mint, and ice creates a delightful treat. The subtle hint of mint adds a cooling touch, making it the perfect pick-me-up. This is a cute little cafe with some great AC and got us out of the blazing sun while walking around shopping. Nice drink menu with some seasonal items that looked stellar and a small assortment of baked goods. It's open and airy with tons of seating and plug-ins for charging as well as some Capital One ATMs on the side. There is also an upstairs seating area. Vibes are sip and hangout or just come and hangout. Although, the link said it expired in 7 days - I guess you could only register within the week? I'm not quite sure, but we were definitely disappointed as that wasn't clear. I got a matcha which was decent - no complaints or ovations from me. One of my friends got their ginger kombucha but it was too acidic. Like burn your throat acidic, flavor was good but I think there was too much ginger. If they could better balance the drink, it could be great. The cafe is very spacious. Came in to read while my husband had to work on his laptop, and this place is a must when working remotely! They have multiple nooks and meeting rooms where you can work with more privacy, or general seating to hang out. They serve local coffee, and I got a seasonal spritz and a breakfast sandwich which were both delicious! You don't have to bank with Capital One to come here, but you do get a discount on drinks if you have a card with them. This is an amazing coworking space! It's in a great location and has great cafe drinks. If you have a Capital One card you get 50% off handcrafted beverages. The cafe itself is spacious and has tons of natural lighting. It's modern and clean. It even has meeting rooms. I don't know much about their banking side of things, but I have seen ATMs and it looks like you can do a lot of things you'd do at a typical bank. They serve Peet's Coffee beverages which are always delicious! I think they have some of the best hot cocoa because you can choose between white, milk, or dark chocolate. They also have some creative seasonal drinks. I just tried their Iced Brown Sugar Matcha Oat Latte and it was pretty good. I especially love this bottled drink they have called Tractor. Although I first thought the concept was quite strange, I actually am quite impressed with the Capital One Cafe. It functions in every way as sleek, modern coffee house in the heart of Carytown, serving extremely reasonably priced Peet's Coffee beverages and local baked goods. Capital One cardholders get 50% any beverage, and there's a daily happy hour that gives anyone a 50% discount (making it free for cardholders). There's free wifi, and people are welcome to hunker down to work or read without being hassled about continuously making purchases. The glass walls let in lots of natural light, and the decor is a simple mix of wood and metal; it's a very cozy spot. At the same time, the cafe doubles as a space for both banking and community events. The first time I visited was because they were hosting Art On Wheels, a local nonprofit that gets the community involved in creating free public art. The cafe also was giving out free vouchers to food truck parked outside, which was a great way to introduce people to local businesses and hopefully become a repeat customer. On the banking side, you can walk into the cafe and open a checking or savings account, make appointments to speak to financial advisers, and attend free seminars on topics such as saving for college or a mortgage. I can definitely see this as being a much more approachable, less intimidating atmosphere than a traditional brick and mortar bank, and an easily accessible way for people to ask financial questions with a live person when Internet apps just don't cut it. read more

We stopped by the cafe and asked if they had sugar free flavors for iced coffee, the lady working there was rather rude so we left. McDonald's got our money! I freaking love this place! Since I recently got a Capital One card, I was super excited to check out one of these cafes during my visit to Richmond. When I first walked in, this seemed like a simple modern coffee shop, but I didn't realize how spacious it was until I went upstairs. You have plenty of seating so you can get your work done and even a few spacious meeting rooms! I felt like I could spend the entire day at this cafe. They even have big-screen video games you can play while you wait for your coffee. Speaking of the good stuff, I ordered a Havana Cappuccino and was so happy to get my 50% cardholder discount. It came out to just a little over $2 for this specialty beverage that was made with cinnamon and condensed milk. No doubt I was over the moon! Had to go to Richmond with my mom for a business conference, so I took an Uber to Carytown and walked around for around 5 hours and did some cafe-hopping. I'm from the suburbs of Chicago, so I really wanted a walkable stretch of cafes and stores. Full disclosure: I am not a part of CapitalOne. Figured I would pop in here and get a mocha with a shot of chocolate, but when the cashier mentioned if I wanted extra chocolate, and I really didn't. I was like "Can I get a latte with a shot of chocolate instead?" The guy goes "That's basically a mocha, so do you just want a regular mocha? Cause that's what it is." in a kind of condescending tone. I really don't know much about coffee - I just knew I wanted some chocolate - but there's no need to rub it in. I apologized for messing up my own order, which in retrospect I regret since I feel I should've stood up for myself, but still I should not be this hung up over a single coffee order. 3 stars since the mocha was decent and the atmosphere is really good for getting work done. But defo overpriced. My recommendation is to go to the Minglewood Bake Shop, which is on the same side of the street and just a 7-9 min walk down. I got a mocha and chocolate croissant there for the same price of a single mocha here. There's also Roastology down the street as well. In my opinion, you can get a lot better coffees in Carytown compared to this. read more

I'm a big fan of this concept. In the new millennium we can do most everything on-line. However, from time to time you like the 'brick & mortar[ option so you can get face to face and talk to a real person. Today, that was Shawn and he is a real pro! Small world, he's from my hometown of CLT. I've been conducting some on-line transactions and wanted to verify what I understood about some of the terms and conditions. He was able to do that for me and lickety split, I was out the door and on my way! Very nice, modern, high tech baking presence in a coffee shop, whoo hoo! Caffeine up and get your baking done too! Whoever came up with this concept needs to get a nice fat bonus! The only downside where and I'm not going to downgrade too much is the parking issue which is unique to Carytown. When you go, you should know what you're getting into. Hopefully you are careful and down get sideswiped as you parallel park or get clipped as you get in and out of your vehicle. This coffee shop is such a good idea, especially for college students primarily being in the area, this spot is great to sit down and relax, study, and get yummy coffee for cheap.
