Loved this local spot that is walking distance from the Richmond Convention Center. I liked it so much, I came twice over the weekend! And I would have gone an extra time too, if they weren't closed on Sunday. I got the lox sandwich on a plain bagel both times and it was delicious. I only wish they had more bagel options to choose from. On my first visit, I got an Iced Matcha Latte unsweetened, which I recommend adding at least a little bit of sweeter in the future to bring out the matcha flavor. I also had an oatmilk latte that was solid, but I got a cortado on my following visit so I could get more espresso punch. Great place, will definitely be back! read more

Nice place! I came here to get a quick bite to go. The cashier was very welcoming and kind. I got an iced matcha latte, sausage egg and cheese bagel and my mom got a BLT. My matcha was good and my bagel was fresh; I would've enjoyed it more with some jam or sauce on it. I should've checked to see if they had any. But I would definitely come back to try more! It's great quality and tasty. I chose the pork sausage, egg, and cheese on croissant sandwich and it's exactly what I was craving that morning. I had visited once before in 2020, and because the matcha was a bit powdery, I hadn't returned. In recent years, I've learned to like coffee and realize I was missing out on their fantastic coffee. My mom and I came for a quick bite before heading to Maymont. We were in awe of the decor, paying homage to Richmond's black history! The staff was all very friendly and accommodating. My mom ordered the Kelli's Special, which came iced but they made it hot for her. I got the Sweetheart Latte. The coffee is AMAZING. Kelli Lemon really knows how to do food well. I've been to Mama J's plenty of times when I lived in RVA. This cafe opened towards the end of my time in RVA so I never got to visit it. I love how much this cafe has all Virginia things... the Richmond themed decor was top notch. Made me miss living in Richmond even more!!! So glad I went today. I got an iced vanilla latte with almond milk and my brother got Kelli's latte. Both were equally amazing. The strength of the coffee was exactly how I needed it to be. Urban Hang Suite is a great example of this. They are located in downtown Richmond. The moment you walk into the shop you know they take pride in their community, art, and most importantly (at least to me) coffee. My husband and I met a longtime friend here. We were warmly welcomed by the beautiful ladies behind the counter. My little group was able to comfortably reminisce and sip on our deliciously created cortados. Love love love the name and this place was literally steps away from where we stayed, Marriott DT and tell me why I was mad that they weren't open the next day lol!!! We found this small yet delightful shop AFTER we had an awful run in at some other place that we won't bring up here lol. But thank GOD for UHS cause they understood the assignment. I have been here twice and ordered through Toast. the first time my cinnamon bagel had become a little moist from sitting in cream cheese but it was still really delicious. you have to try the turkey bacon that they cook to perfection every time. the hot chai tea was perfect too. today I tried an onion bagel with avocado, turkey bacon, and egg. my only complaint is the egg and avocado are both heavily seasoned with pepper flakes. it is overwhelming the bagel and I can barely taste my onion cupppertino which is (no offense) the star of the show, but hopefully this was a one time thing. I tried iced chai with pumpkin and it was good, but I prefer hot. haven't had trouble finding parking on the surrounding block. great community. staff is always so friendly. The most reasonably priced avocado toast ever! As of July 2022 the avocado toast is $4. I got a scrambled eggs on the avocado toast for an extra $1.50. The oat milk latte is also delicious! This was a really cool spot to grab some lunch! We walked over from a nearby hotel and the staff instantly greeted us and showed us the menu. I ordered the club with some chips and grabbed a soda from the cooler. Our sandwiches were ready within 5-10min and they were delicious! This spot is walkable from my apartment and I've been in a handful of times. I haven't had much of their menu, because their breakfast croissants are SO good that I can't break away from them. Their avocado toast isn't crazily priced like a lot of places. You order more towards the back end and then get your order closer to get front which can be a little confusing your first time. It's a cozy space, and they have great music! There is some seating, but not a whole lot. I get the Kendrick's drink or a caramel iced latte and my partner gets the Americano. We'd probably choose them over Starbucks more often, but they close in the early afternoon aren't open at all on weekends. read more

Hubby & I were looking for a quick breakfast spot and after reading such great reviews gave Urban Hang Suite a try. It does have a funky, upbeat vibe going on and the staff is quite friendly. We walked in and there was only a large family sitting in the back. Within 5 minutes, as we were about to place our order, there was a line of about 10 people behind us!! I see why. I ordered the avocado toast with a scrambled egg on sourdough toast and a regular coffee. The bread was fresh and the eggs were perfectly scrambled , not too hard and not too soft and everything was seasoned well. The mashed avocado had minced red onion and scallions. This place aesthetically is amazing and funky. The food was great but the bagels are overly doughie here. The cashier lady was great, but my only gripe was the attitude of one of the cooking ladies. I understand I had my shoulder on the rest near them, but that could have been handled a little better, in my opinion.
