Here is Wilbur getting his medicated bath, with shampoo from Dr Hamilton.

A big shoutout for Evergreen, they are one of the few vets in the area who will treat chickens and geese. It can be difficult to call around to different vets, only to be told that they don't handle these birds. When one of my geese was a gosling, he got tangled up with netting and it got caught in his mouth. We were able to get him right up there and the tech quickly took care of the problem. A few months later, another goose developed a case of wet feather. Again, I was able to make an appointment where he was quickly taken care of. While he was in the office, he walked around honking, much to the delight of people who happened to be there. I also called with questions about my chickens and got to talk to their tech. Dr Hamilton is super knowledgeable and has geese of his own. The staff is great and I definitely recommend Evergreen to all the chicken and geese people out there.

I started taking my two dogs to Evergreen after having a less than stellar experience with another vet in Olympia. I really only have great things to say. Staff is friendly and accommodating, and you can tell they all deeply care about animals. I've also always had reasonable wait times for appointments (considering how busy vet offices are). Facility is clean and well kept. Being more specific, I cannot recommend Dr. Tyler enough. My older dog was unexpectedly diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer in early February. This was devastating for me, but Dr. Tyler was there every step of the way with compassion and support. She was also helpful in providing me with options for treatment and advising me how to proceed. Unfortunately, my girl lost her battle with cancer recently. One comfort for me is that she had excellent care until the end. Thank you Evergreen and Dr. Tyler for all that you've done for my pets!

The staff and Drs were amazing. Firstly, this clinic was one of the few taking new pets. I need help with travel certificates for my pups. The team were amazingly supportive and responsive working with me to safely get my pups to Europe. Their communication and support moving the needed documents through the FDA helped to alleviate major anxiety. All of this while they were incredibly busy. Thank you Dr Starr and team for all of your help.

My cat Lola Mae likes the staff. I know this hectic don't hear screaming from the staff when the clip he claws. She normally is hissing, biting and scratching those she does not like. So I give them a five (5) tail up!

Our rabbit became suddenly sick and we had called over 10 rabbit vets and no one was able to see us beings that most were not excepting new patients, out of town, less hours of being open and unfortunately not in their field of experience. I called Evergreen Veterinarian and the receptionist was extremely nice and very understanding. She talked to the rabbit technician who seen my rabbit as a drop off. The technician and staff are very friendly and kept me up to date on my rabbits status. Wonderful people to work with I highly recommend for your animal emergency needs! FYI: Rabbit is home with antibiotics and doing better. A+ all the way!

This is the aftermath my dog being horribly shaved for a spay. She has terrible razor burn. Do not bring your pets here!!

If you have a double coated dog going into surgery stress that they use some tact while shaving! I have a beautiful golden retriever whose coat was butchered by a careless tech. I understand the need to shave for surgery, however five inches above her nipples seems excessive. My family raised show dogs for years, this would not stand. I have never seen anything like it after far more invasive surgeries. These people do not have your pets interests at heart.

Healthy Pets is in a separate building across the driveway, where all surgeries are performed Yesterday I took Max in for his dental surgery. I was rather concerned about the anesthesia, so was quite relieved to receive a phone call after the surgery telling me that everything had gone perfectly. Several hours later I was able to bring him home having had two extractions. Aside from the spot on his leg that had to be shaved, when I got home and let him out of his carrier, one wouldn't even know he'd just had surgery. After 20 years at another vet practice, I'm so glad I moved my cats care to this vet practice. I've found the staff at both buildings, efficient, caring, and totally professional. I was given detailed written post op. instructions in addition to verbal instructions and any questions I had were patiently answered. For those that don't know Healthy Pets is the canine practice and surgery, while Oly Cats is where you take your felines for normal service.

Her vet was out of town for a conference but also doesn't have any after hour emergency services available. Her office only refers to an emergency hospital in Tacoma, an hour away on a good traffic day. I called the emergency service and they referred me to Blue Pearl as it was much closer to me being Seafair weekend at 5pm (on a Friday!). This was my first experience going to a Pet ER. (Thank you, Jesus!). My expectations were that we would have a wait that would be no different than a people ER (except that you don't have sick people with stuff you can catch all around you!) and it was busy. We had a really nice triage tech, Hannah, who was kind, seemed knowledgeable, and compassionate to my anxiety. She took Sophie back to be examined by the doctor after explaining the process. I marked on the consent that I wanted to know what they were going to do prior and an estimate prior to additional treatment. Dr. Nicole (if I remember correctly) came out to talk to us. She was wonderful! She explained the issues with Sophie's condition as she had Kidney Disease and what we could do to make her more comfortable moving forward. This was so helpful as my husband has had difficulty understanding Sophie's medical condition and how serious it was. We made a plan together and we were lucky to have had that done as they got in a critical emergency that was going to take all of the medical staff to navigate so those that were there waiting would have a much longer wait. I, myself, appreciated that they were very transparent on what was happening so that if I had not yet been helped, we could have gone elsewhere, if need be. I really appreciated also, that I was told that if I had any further questions afterwards, I could call at any time. Unfortunately, I did the next morning and was able to speak with one of the vet's who was just as amazing as Dr. Nicole was the evening before. She shared additional information and then worked to help get a request to fill a medication to help Sophie at a local place to where we live. I didn't know that the Centralia/Chehalis area now has an Urgent Care Clinic or I probably would have gone there first but I DO NOT regret at all that we went to Blue Pearl!! Unfortunately, my Sophie had more issues overnight and we had to make another trip to Blue Pearl Sunday morning where the hard decision was made to release her from the suffering of this ugly kidney disease. I am devastated with how quickly things went from bad to the worst. The staff at Blue Pearl in the Westside of Olympia - everyone I had contact with on the phone and in person - were wonderful. They were gentle, kind, compassionate and very empathetic during each and every step. They provided a cozy bed and blanket for Sophie while we were taking our time to say our goodbyes. The doctor was kind, compassionate and caring as he watched my heart break into a million pieces. We were told we could take as much time as we needed through each step which we did. For something so hard to go through, they made it as easy as possible for which I will be eternally grateful. The only suggestion that I could make is that, if it were possible, to have a couple of rooms set aside specifically for these circumstance with comfortable furniture for those taking the time to say goodbye and grieve afterwards. And a nearby restroom (away from those waiting in the lobby) or a sink in the room, a strange request but I would have liked to rinse my face after crying so much. Also, since all the financial things were taken care of in the room (SO appreciated also), a separate exit so the grieving family doesn't have to walk through the lobby. I do understand that this is a hospital and that type of space may be hard to provide but that is the only change I would make to this experience. Again, I am so thankful to have been referred to this facility and all of the kindness that they showed my family during this most difficult time. I am so sorry that there are others that were not able to have such an experience when taking their beloved pet for care according to the reviews.

We thought the initial (almost $600) visit was handled correctly: we got a health certificate, and they provided a written prescription for Clavamox, advising us to wait for lab confirmation before administering the medication. We got a call to start the 14-day course of medication, which we had filled at a separate dispensary before leaving the United States. Unfortunately, we later discovered Pinehurst *only prescribed HALF the required course of antibiotics!!!* We are now stuck in Whitehorse, Canada, having to postpone a long driving day to Tok, Alaska, to coordinate with a local veterinarian that was willing to provide us with the remainder of the medication we should've been prescribed by Pinehurst. We just needed Pinehurst to email the details and confirm the Canadian clinic had everything they needed to dispense the medication. Unfortunately, when Pinehurst initially emailed the Canadian clinic, they DIDN'T include the prescription details. Pinehurst also told us their clinic's telephone system would not allow them to make an international telephone call to the clinic in Whitehorse, leaving us responsible for correcting another problem Pinehurst created. Given the urgency of the issue and their responsibility for this entire situation, why wasn't someone willing to use their personal phone to make the call? The repeated lack of basic follow-through caused significant stress and disruption to our travel with a sick cat. Would not recommend if you need reliable care or cross-border support.
