I received a student discount, the popcorn was fresh and delicious, the bathrooms were clean, parking is a breeze, the aesthetic is very cool, the theater/movie quality was on point, and the best part, it's locally owned and operated. 5 stars to you, Maiden Alley Cinema, you make downtown Paducah a special experience!

Maybe because I went to a matinee on a weekday, I wasn't searched. But I also brought a very small, clear bag that showed I was only carrying the bare essentials. The ticket prices (I saw two movies) are the lowest I've seen, around 12 bucks. I realize they are more expensive for evening shows, but this is still beyond reasonable. The theaters are large and the recliners are comfy. They have stadium seating and some theaters have partitions. They have swivel tables for food. In the beginning of the show, if you order at the concession stand, they'll bring your food to you. I had a couple of their drinks (yes, you can have cocktails while you watch). They are sugary and nothing spectacular, but that's okay. It's a theater staffed by high school and college aged students, not cocktail connoisseurs. I was hungry between movies, so I had some of their cheese fries. Again, okay. The fries themselves were hot and well seasoned, but I could have done without all the nacho cheese and ranch dressing (I realize that's the appeal for some people). For a large plate of cheese fries and a double shot drink, I paid about 38 bucks. Honestly, that isn't crazy to me given what I ordered. They also have popcorn, pretzels (which is what I wanted, but they were unable to make them that day), hotdogs, pizza, burgers. They also have places to sit in the lobby as well as a small table you can park at to eat. Everyone on staff was super nice and helpful. Some of them were very conversational about the films playing. The auditoriums were clean, as were the bathrooms. I am pleased with my experience here and think this was just the first of many matinees in my future.

Make sure to get there early or else you'll be stuck in a long line at the concession stands. Cheeseburger was some of the best I've had in a long time, and so inexpensive. I heard the pizzas are delicious as well. If you are staying for back to back screenings, I recommend grabbing an ice cream cone during the break. I watched Skyscraper and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Picture quality is impeccable, although I did have a hard time hearing from the speakers. Pro tip: bring an old school radio or turn on the speakers in your car and tune into FM for some sound enhancement. What a little gem in Western KY! Next time bring your significant other to create your own Grease drive-in moment, or alternatively your family for some wholesome fun!

I made my order 15 minutes before we got there walked in 20 minutes to get my order which was inside a hot box. I watched them put it in there while I was waiting in line. As soon as I paid, they should've checked and seeing if that was my order in the box instead, I waited an additional 10 minutes, for my food we got to the drive-in at approximately 6 PM three hours before the movie There was two people in front of me in line. We felt like we were totally misled about the show, even though it was good. My husband and I ended up missing our dinner reservation because of the length of the show. Do better Alhambra!!! I went to the Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Event in the Wilson Theater. It was catered by Manila Subs. The event, food, and drinks were free. This was the first event I ever attended in the Wilson Theater. There was a lot of seats available. The place was well decorated. Everyone got leis and were well fed. The food and drinks were delicious and plentiful. The food options consisted of Filipino, Japanese, Korean, American, Hawaiian, and other Asian food: Kimbap, Chicken Adobo, Japanese sticky rice, sushi, Hawaiian Spam Museabi Banana Fritters, Garden Salad, Kimchi, Lumpia, Banana Bread, Puto, Pancit, Rolls, and other foods. The owner of Manila Subs, Marylou, was very hospitable , kind, and gave me her business card. She said this was the largest event she ever catered (400 people). Her staff was a pleasure to talk to as well. The entertainment was stellar. The guest speaker was Major (RET) Tom Hara. He spoke about Asians in the military. From what I was told it was difficult to find a military Asian or Pacific Islander for a speaker at an even. Definitely a good selection of food that you can order along with non-alcoholic/alcoholic beverages to enjoy while you watch your movie. The seating is superb and suitable for larger people as well. My only complaint is the trays seem to be a bit wobbly and if you order a beer there is no use for either of the cup holders. The sound is Dolby Atmos certified (and it's impressive) which is not quite as good as IMAX but probably the next best thing. The video/screen were excellent although I did notice a slight glare from the exit signs. Bathrooms are a bit of a walk from the royal suite, they should have installed a small bathroom in the area. For the price and quality it's hard to complain about anything except for minor inconveniences, I'll definitely be back and highly recommend this hidden jewel!
