Quick Lane got one of my daily drivers checked out and serviced promptly. They discovered that it needed a new battery, got that put in, topped up all of the fluids, check the tire pressure, and got this vehicle ready for a 1500 mile trip. The waiting area was very comfortable and I had a nice chat with some of the other customers while I was waiting, but they had me in and out in half an hour. Do NOT do business with Capital Ford! My truck went in for a fuel system failure, they failed to do half of the job but charge the full price. As if they did it and now my truck is broken down. Everyone, I don't normally place messages like this, Yesterday for the second time I took my 2024 Ford F150 to Capital Ford in Santa Fe. My low beam led headlights are not working. They did a diagonotic on the truck and told me the a module that controls leveling of my high beam needs to be replaced, the part is $65.38 takes three days to receive (other ford dealers and internet sells it for $31, overnight) and $1045 labor for 5 hrs, plus tax at $90.91, total is $1206.24. When comforting the Service Manager, he left to talk with the technician and whomever else, I fact checked the repair estimate: 1. Capital Ford stated they have to remove the center console to install the module that's why the labor is so high, and program the module. My research indicated the module was located behind the head lamp, easy access. 2. The module part number Capital came up with is a module for halogen head lights, mine is LED get the picture. 3. When comforting the services manager, he brushed me off, when I told him I was leaving he threatened me with calling the police because I had to pay for the diagnostic, yet it was wrong, I countered with "better yet I will call them because your trying to hold my vehicle hostage" 4. A the service director stepped in, asked me to sit with him in his office, we talked about what just happened, he got on the computer, looked up the part number and agreed the module was wrong so was the location, and he was going to order the Head Lamp Control Module instead, I left it at that. However, he ordered it without technical support because that's the only module that made sense. 5. I have been trying to drive my vehicle during daylight hours because only my high beam works, as such my lights limit casting lights a limited distance in fron of my truck and makes navigating roads that curve or swerve, placing myself and others at risk of crash or blinding on coming traffic, the problem is a safety hazard to which neither Ford or Capital are concerned about. Called them on Tues and was told still not in. Headed back to Denver, took car in and was told they never logged in the truck nor did they order the part. Ten days and still no word from them. Here's what happened. Weeks ago we came to the capital ford in Santa Fe to buy a 2025 bronco. We aren't local to the area and we're buying over the phone/online. We both have amazing credit and a large down payment to put down right away. The specific car we wanted had a recall on it and they couldn't sell it to us at the time. They wanted us to put down a NON REFUNDABLE deposit. We wanted to talk about the final price and Sergio refused to talk about it. He flat out refused. He actually laughed us off and said he "wasn't a numbers guy" (direct quote). We were baffled that they would expect us to put down a nonrefundable deposit and not even tell us what the final car price was. We escalated this to the sales manager, Tony, after many failed attempts to get somewhere with Sergio. Tony also wouldn't tell us the final price but agreed to make the deposit refundable so we paid it. It gets even worse after that. Every time we try to reach Sergio we're ghosted or lied to. He claimed his messages were not going through, which is just BS. We'd call the dealership and he'd say he was with a customer and couldn't deal with us. Mind you, we are already paying customers of Sergio's and he wouldn't respond to our calls or text and blow us off when we called the dealership directly. We wanted a few questions answered like photos of the interior, specific car questions, a quote for delivery (which he also refused to do), updates on the recall. All of this he failed to do. And more lying. He would call us and say oh the recall is being fixed now it will be ready on this date. I would take the day off to make the 10 hour round trip drive (because he still wouldn't give us quotes and delivery options) and then right before he'd say oh it's not fixed. Come to find out it was never being worked on. The recall fix was never available. We were just given the run around, lied to over and over, disrespected as paying customers and ghosted. We decided to take our business elsewhere. We asked Sergio for our deposit back, called and texted. Still as of writing this I haven't heard back. We had to call the dealership and speak to someone else. We got a hold of another sales manager, Joseph, he seemed beyond appalled by the behavior. He was fine but we still took our business elsewhere. We got a much better deal and can rest easy knowing our money is going to a dealer who earned it. Joseph did initiate our refund. Still waiting on the deposit. But if you're looking to buy here, I'd look elsewhere. read more

If I could go to a negative star rating I would. I bought my 2021 Ford Bronco Sport from Capitol Ford in Apriol 2021. Sales experience was great. Service after the sale seems to be an issue. The Quick Lube seemed to be ok, mostly. I had my oil changed in Texas after driving there for a funeral. My next oil change I was told I needed a new oil pan because the bolt had been stripped. It would have been helpful if they could have taken pictures, etc to document this info. The dealer in Texas didn't want to pay. The first service advisor I worked with was Tim. He was absolutely no help at all. He just kept saying that if Bob Tomes Ford in McKinney TX would not agree to pay if would be my responsibility. Richard- service advisor and Victor- service manager got my vehicle taken care of after fighting for almost a year. Awesome, right!!! WRONG! When I picked up the Bronco I noticed that it was louder than normal. Especially on take off and acceleration. It sounded like an exhaust leak. Took it back; they couldn't find anything. Drive it and see how it does. Took it back again. This time they did find that the catalytic converter was cracked and they replaced it. Great!!! NO, it was still making the same noise. Well, we don't know what else it can be. Supposedly 4 techs looked at it and could not find anything. They loosened something and tightened it back?? I didn't understand that part, but maybe it would solve the issue. NO, again!!! Took it back again!!! Dropped it off on July 30th and it's still there. Richard was on vacation so I ended up with Tim again. He is very polite, but I swear he doesn't know what he's doing or talking about. He always has an excuse when you call him because he hasn't bothered to call you and it been 3 days since you dropped it off. THEN, he tell you it was just assigned to a tech or the tech is out that day and it will another day or two. He said the water pump was leaking, but they still didn't know what was causing the noise. I asked about the turbo, but he said they ruIed that out. I said ok at least get the water pump fixed. He offers to get me a quote. I said I have the Ford Premium Maintenance package AND the Ford Premium Warranty for up to 85K miles. My Bronco had a little over 60K when I took it in. A week goes by with no contact. I call again. This time he says they still don't know for sure what the noise is, but we need to get the water pump replaced. I said I told you last week to do it! He said he would get me a quote. I reminded him AGAIN the warranty etc I have. I also asked about the fuel injectors. I am on one of the Bronco Sport groups on Facebook and some people mention it. I also got the recall letter for the fuel injectors. Tim said that he didn't think my vehicle was on that recall. He said only"certain" vehicle had that issue. Well my letter says my Bronco has that issue!!!! Then he told me the tech thinks its the AC compressor. And that's where we left off last week. SO, it's supposed to be ready tomorrow. I don't know what if anything has been done to it in these past weeks. I am beyond frustrated with Ford in general because of the quality, but even more so with Capital Ford for the horrible service and communication. read more

Yes! just like I told you in the first place! miraculous they find a hole! give me a quote of almost $2000! so I gave them a bad review! The manager reached out to me to take care of the matte! He wanted me to give him a 5 star revie! that's all he cared about! Why would I change my review when nothing had been done! So more emails and he tells me I will take some off the price of $2700! If you're in the market for a new car, I highly recommend working with Larissa at Capitol Ford. She went above and beyond to earn our business, and even though we did not purchase the vehicle we originally went to see, we developed a plan to reach that goal. We did end up purchasing a Ford Escape, and Larissa was a big part of making the whole process seamless. In the future, when we're ready to purchase the car we originally went to see, we would definitely work with Larissa again. If you're buying a car here, try to get your service agreement factored into your payment during negotiations (standard in the state I came from, but apparently not in New Mexico). So you know exactly what your monthly payment will be at the time of signing and you're not blindsided by the additional cost for the service package. read more

As a 74 year old woman I took my car in a couple months ago because I had a check engine light on "supposedly due to an emissions problem". I told the service department that the code showed emissions problem. I also asked for them to check to see if I needed antifreeze added. I went home and got a call saying that I needed approximately $6000.00 work done. I needed emissions and that my radiator water was leaking into the engine. I guess he saw a 74 yo sucker. I let and had it checked and there were no problems. Check engine light has not come on again and there is no problem with the water leaking into the engine. This is the second time they have tried to rip us off. As my husband was a retired Ford Motor engine worker in Cleveland we contacted Ford in Detroit as a retired employee the first time and it was fixed at no charge. This time I called and told them what had happened. They apologized profusely. I will never go back there again and also thing I should get the $185 I paid to have them check my check engine light. Last week, I made an appointment with the Capitol Ford Santa Fe service department for 50,000 mile service on my 2019 Ford F-350 and to address the "death wobble" issue with my vehicle (or as Ford euphemistically refers to it "sustained steering wheel oscillation"). I dropped the vehicle off at the appointed date and time, Wednesday, August 1 at 7:30 am. It is now Thursday afternoon, and have been informed the service technician has just requested the parts and hopes to complete the service by Friday afternoon. I am not happy and very frustrated. Over the 20 years, I have owned three Ford trucks and SUVs. I have had them serviced at multiple Ford dealerships throughout the United States and Canada. This is the first time that service on any of my vehicles have taken more than a day. More frustrating, no one told me it would take more than one day. We have only one vehicle, the truck being serviced. We have had to cancel or change plans, or use a ride share because we do not have our vehicle. The apologies from the service department, like "I'm sorry" and "we are really busy" ring hollow with me and do little to appease me. Words don't mean much without action to resolve the situation. This is an update from my prior review of their maintenance shop, and the ending to the sorry tale of the slow fuel fill problem. When I dropped it off at the Capitol Ford Lincoln again, after they hadn't fixed the problem the first time, I said two things to the service advisor: - "you do know that there's a Ford Technical Service Bulletin for this problem, and you have discussed that with the tech?", he said "I'm sure the tech knows, but I'll make sure to discuss it with him". So, I also said "when you think it's fixed, just take it to the gas station and put two gallons of gas in; if you can get them in, it's fixed". The service advisor said "of yes, absolutely I'll do that". So, anyway, about two weeks after I left my last review, the service advisor called me and said "it's fixed". So, I said "you did take it to the gas station and put a couple of gallons in, didn't you?". And he said, "yes, it's fixed". My wife and I therefore drove down to Santa Fe (90 minutes drive each way), and went to pick it up. Just to make sure, I took it to the nearest gas station, which is about 300 yards from this Ford place, on Cerillos Road, and I couldn't get more than .7 of a gallon in before it started blowing gas back out. Not fixed. Clearly the service advisor had flat out lied to my face about taking my truck to the gas station, as he would have immediately found out that it wasn't fixed. The wife and I went back, and she had a major fit at the service manager in the service waiting area. They'd had it six weeks by that time, not fixed the problem twice, and charged a bunch of money. So, they discounted most of what they had done and we drove up north again. I then took the truck to a local shop that's pretty good at diagnostics. I showed them the list of things that Santa Fe Capitol Ford Lincoln had done - but they hadn't done the "slow fuel fill" TSB, of course - and they said they'd take a look and though that the TSB probably was the problem. A week later, this local shop had indeed completed the TSB and fixed the problem. The owner of that shop gave me a part back - it's the vent to the Evap canister - which has a mud dauber nest in it. He thought it was funny - especially that Capitol Ford Lincoln clearly never looked at it. I've attached a photo so you can see for yourself. I cannot imagine what Capitol Ford Lincoln did to my truck, but clearly they never actually bothered looking at the Evap canister, despite the fact that that was clearly indicated as the root of the problem both from the ODBII code and the symptoms and the TSB, which all fitted the facts. So, while this place might be ok for basic oil changes, both the service advisors and the service technicians seem to have no clue about anything more complicated, and I'd suggest avoiding this place at all costs if you have any kind of complex issue with your vehicle. I am certainly never, ever, going back. read more

Small business, in Santa Fe, locally owned, family business. Brought two vehicles for my business , totally over 150,000. Know the Brandt's since I was in high school. Thought they were trust worthy. So paid off both vehicles. I serviced the transit van no where but Capitol Ford. Took in to Bart at the fleet service on June 12, 2024. Explained to him what was going on all lights were on, yellow light flashing timing belt. When took it in, Bart the fleet manager, said the battery just needed to be re-charged, so he charged the battery and told me there was no charge. On September 25th, we towed to Capitol Ford. So Bart called to tell me the engine needed to be replaced. I asked why the lights didn't go on to warn me something was wrong. They don't know they said, could not tell me why the engine went out. I took it else where to be checked, they said the timing belt needed to be replaced and we never did it. Instead of Capitol Ford replacing the timing belt they just re-set the battery so we never got a notification . Capitol Ford wants to charge me $12,000 for a new engine. They should of just replaced timing belt to begin with! Now they don't want to help me at all. I didn't think a local business would do that to locals, now I am out a delivery van. Never will buy a Ford again. read more

This is a terrible place. They wanted to charge me $2300 to replace a part that was not needed. I took my vehicle to Master Tech instead. They identified multiple issues that were missed at Capitol Ford, fixed the problem for $400 and it didn't need the part that Capitol Ford said was needed. In addition, I was driven home by their shuttle service. The individual appeared to be on some form of stimulant. She drove between 85-90 MPH on Route 599. She was not looking at the road, but rather distracted by the phone. I was terrified and screamed foe her to slow down and watch the road. She refused to turn down the rap music at high volume. When I reported this to Victor, the person in charge of service, he responded that " No one had complained before". I notified the police. When I called back to speak with Victor and advised him of the incorrect diagnosis, he agreed to refund me the $145 diagnostic fee. When I asked about the dangerous driver, he responded that it was none of my business how they handled it. If you need your car repaired- don't go there. Master Tech know what they are doing and are a fraction of the price!! read more

I won a gift certificate for a free oil change and still got charged over $60 on top of it. I had even called ahead to double check that the gift certificate was for synthetic oil. I took delivery of a new Mach-e 2/26/21... The Sales process was smooth (the Mach-e are all sold at MSRP and pre-ordered, so there was no haggling). However, it because evident that Sales and Service staff were un-trained with the new EV and FordPass tech as we were unable to set my Phone up with the 'Phone As A Key' functionality to act as a spare key in case I ever lost my ONE physical key Fob that comes with the car. Things went downhill from there when they told me they could not GET a second key Fob for spare as they were 'back ordered' with no idea when they might be able to get them, at any price. I found a fob online (an official Ford key even!) and Capitol refuses to program it saying it could be a Warranty issue (which is total bull$%^#), for any price and certainly not for free to help make up for my time and aggravation with only one functional Key. Capitol has made no effort in the last 2 weeks to actually solve the problem, and lost what little trust I had in them by refusing to take the opportunity to try and help get the PAAK functionality working on my phone or give me a second Fob, or even just program the one I got online for free to make up for the problem. I will go to great lengths to take my future business for Sales and Service to any other Ford Dealership. read more

I stopped in because my electric windows were not operating. I was told at the service dept that i needed to have a $145.45 diagnostic test run to locate the problem. After 3 hours o was told it was the master relay switch. WRONG!!! It tirned out to be a split ground wire in the drivera door hinge. It cost me $9 to repair and now all my wondows are going down properly. This Ford service dept quoted $220 for labor and $158.99 for the relay switch...all of which i didnt need. Years ago I went here and I promised myself I would never do it again. I just purchased an older Ford Truck (2011) which had a problem with the defroster. I figured this should not be a big challenge for them. Boy was I wrong. Over a week later (allowing a day for weather) I called only to find the guy I was working with was no longer employed there. (Things happen) I spoke to somebody else (a real money-grabber) so, over ($220) over the original quote, it ended up being ($850). I got my Truck back and the issue wasn't resolved. But, they did offer (although they could not tell me specifically what the problem was) to fix it for another ($3k+)...after I went home and washed the word "stupid" off my forehead...I took my Truck to Auto Care 2000...not only is the boss-lady as nice as can be and incredibly honest to a fault...but, they fixed my problem for a lot less than I was quoted from Capital Ford....I guarantee I will never be back here and anybody who does....should do so with extreme caution !!!!! read more

After 2 years of appointments, to take care of multiple warranty issues, Capitol Ford has proven themselves to be the most incompetent service department I've ever experienced in 40 years. The service staff is polite...however, that doesn't mean much when parts are neglected to be re-installed on my vehicle... they give me wrong information on warranty issues...they damaged my vehicle while working on it...they keep my van for several days to perform a simple issue. I'm reluctant, apprehensive and petrified to bring my vehicle back to Capitol Ford because they might just forget to put the battery back...which would not surprise me. My vehicle has more warranty issues that need to be fixed... Regrettably, Capitol Ford is the only Ford dealer in Santa Fe...I don't want to be a hostage to their service department. Perhaps I'm just a disgruntled customer...or I'm a customer who's had multiple bad and careless experiences with Capitol Ford. I requested to speak directly to the owner of Capitol Ford...request disallowed. My experience with the Service Manager (Fixed Ops Director) was discouraging. Capitol Ford keeps sending me mailers that highlights that their service team are "Certified Trained Technicians" with Ford...that's a frightening claim. Please, step up Capitol Ford...your Certified Trained Technicians need support to make your dealership a truly exceptional experience for your customers. read more

Not impressed!!! Brought my car in for a recall. They said to wait in the lounge for the van so I could take care of errands while I waited the 4 hours. After waiting 45 minutes, I checked with the service desk and the van had just left without me! They came back, and when the car was ready, I called the van (the service people refuse to call) and the driver said he just started lunch and I would have to wait an hour and 1/2. I called the service desk, and they were able to send someone to get me, but had to use my car BECAUSE THEY HAD NO CARS! This is a CAR DEALERSHIP! This is the first dealership service EVER where my car was not washed. The service desk said they only wash the Lincolns, not the Fords...wow! I live in Los Alamos, and will now drive the extra 45 minutes for service in Albuquerque, and recommend you do the same if you want good customer service! read more

Never before, in my entire life have I been treated so poorly at any auto dealership, and met such totally incompetent staff and management. Apparently it's Ford Motor Company's position that if you are even one mile over your warranty period, even with an ongoing problem, you are OUT OF WARRANTY. Probably the worst car repair experience of my entire life. My husband and I were driving cross-country and during our stop in Santa Fe, we saw that our car was leaking oil. Great, just what someone wants when engaged in a trip like this, right? We took the car to Capitol Ford and because of the "late" hour (apparently things close early in Santa Fe because it was only about 5:30pm on a Tuesday), all the car rental places were closed. The service department was nice enough to loan us a vehicle so we could get back to our hotel. Things were looking good. They promised to give us a call first thing in the morning to discuss the car. The next morning we still hadn't received a call (first warning sign), but by the time they called, it wasn't good news. I'm not a car expert so I don't recall exactly what was wrong, but it was going to be slap your momma expensive. They quoted a price of over $1000, but also told us it would be done by the next day around noon. We called a couple of other shops in town and they were all cheaper (roughly $600-$800), but quoted us 2-3 days longer. Since we were in a time crunch because we were moving, we stuck with Capitol Ford. The next day we called several times and weren't able to get ahold of anyone or find out the status of our vehicle. At 1pm someone finally spoke to us and said that they hadn't even looked at our car yet. Mind you, the car is supposed to be done and we should be back on the road. Later that afternoon we speak to the general manager at the dealership and explain our situation. We need the car. Full stop. He assures us that it'll be fine and they will get the job done on time. We get a call an hour later. The car won't be done until the following day. Now I'm pissed because I could have saved myself $200-$400 and taken it to one of the other places and had it finished in the same amount of time. The car is finished the next day (although not at opening as promised, but around 10-11am). And to add insult to injury, they wanted to charge us the full amount, despite the fact that they blew the deadline and otherwise inconvenienced us. The GM had the audacity to yell at me and speak to me quite disrespectfully despite the fact that I was quite calm. My husband and I finally left, glad to be done with the collection of clowns at Capitol Ford. Alas, it wasn't to be. We drove for another 500 miles or so when we saw that the car was still leaking. A dealership in Oklahoma City told us that it was one of two problems and that from what we described, it was (hopefully) not a big deal. We keep driving. The car is now a sieve. We stop in Springfield, Missouri. The dealership there finds that when Capitol took out the transmission to fix the original problem, they put it back in roughly and not in place properly which broke something else. This cost us another 3 days in a location, additional money, and needless stress. Capitol also tried to screw us around with paying the Ford dealership in Springfield which was an additional hassle that neither of us needed. If I could give a rating of zero stars I would. I have a leased 2014 Ford Escape with less than 6,000 miles on the odometer. Yesterday I had a flat tire that couldn't be repaired. Discount Tire told me they could get a new tire for me in 3-5 business days, at a price of $149. I didn't realize my car had a tire warranty, which meant I should've been able to get a new tire at any Ford dealer. I had my husband phone this Ford dealer in Santa Fe, thinking they would have access to a matching tire immediately. I was driving around on the do-nut spare, so needed a new tire right away. They were able to get the tire trucked to Santa Fe on the same day, so I headed there to get the new tire. When I got to the "Quick Lane" service area I was "helped" by the department manager. Although my tire was under warranty, so should have been replaced FREE, I was given a royal runaround by the department manager. He knew he had me at a disadvantage and he tried his hardest to cheat me. At first he wanted to charge me $231 for the tire, I protested of course. He finally told me he would sell me the tire for $187, the warranty company would pay $150. There is more to this story and none of it is favorable to this dealer. What is it about car dealerships that makes everyone who works there into liars and cheaters? I did tell the guy that if he had taken care of me properly I would consider getting my next car there, but he had ensured I would never give this Ford dealer more business.
