The guy looked at the tire and refused to plug it, saying the screw and the hole were too large and that I needed a NEW TIRE. Keep in mind, this is a tire on a set I had only purchased about 5 months ago. I ended up taking it to my normal tire shop, where they pulled the screw out, plugged the tire with no problem, and did it for free. I understand that sometimes a tire may genuinely be unsafe to repair, but in this case, I was given a completely different answer by another shop that has taken care of my tires before. Based on my experience, I won't be coming back here.

I hired him to…read morereplace the battery on my 2010 Honda Civic and inspect several parts that a dealer had claimed were leaking and needed to be replaced. He inspected them and showed me how each one was clean, dry, and completely fine. He then inspected the rest of the engine compartment and the undercarriage and showed me that it was all in great shape. Finally, he noticed that a previous mechanic had removed the plastic shroud for my front wheel wells and failed to install new clips to secure the shroud afterward. I had wondered about the gap he noticed for years, but I didn't realize it was anything other than wear and tear. He replaced the clips for no extra charge. I know it seems like a small thing, but to me, it speaks clearly to Roland's character: I believe he genuinely cares about doing right by his customers and taking good care of their cars. When I asked him about some issues with electronic parts on my car (e.g. a digital dashboard display), he let me know that his area of focus was mechanical service and advised me to take my car to an electrical auto shop. I was grateful that he knew the limits of his expertise, communicated them clearly, and stuck to them. I felt his quoted price was quite reasonable, and even after he performed more work than requested (still within about a 1-hour time slot), he stuck to his original price quote. I am very happy with the service he provided and the price I paid! I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Rolland came to my house and went straight to working on the fuse box without having made sure the…read morehigh voltage system of my Prius C was disconnected. Major red flag #1. He spent 40 minutes prying at different parts and trying to forcefully remove my fuse box to get to the 100A fusible link that I had to tell him was located beneath and the assembly had to be unbolted to get to it from underneath. After 40 minutes of painfully watching him attempt to force things open. I politely asked him to stop as it was obvious he didn't know what he was doing and broke a few components off my housing. I tried calling him to let him know of the damages. He denied responsibility and said he was only at my house for 5 minutes. He told me to never contact him again and failed to respond to the before and after photos I sent. Do not trust this shady business. What went from a lb easy replacement of a 100A that I could have done myself but did not have the time to do so, resulted in several hundred dollars of parts in addition to more for labor due to gross incompetence. DO NOT TRUST HIM!

Once He took time to explain parts being ordered and time frame it'd take, he started right away. I brought my car in on a Thursday, and no joke, come Monday morning, he's calling me letting me know it's ready. Upon arrival, immediately he showed me everything that was done, including showing me the warn out/corroded parts he replaced, did some additional "fixes" at no cost (front light, rotate tires that previously put on wrong, etc). He also suggested a few recommendations that were super helpful. I felt that he priced everything at a great, more than fair price for sure. Dennis made the whole process easy-peasy, and he was both very time efficient and thorough with the work on my car. Its dang near impossible to find real honest, decent, mechanics anywhere anymore, and by the grace of God, and a friends recommendation, I found one! We had a set of outdoor sling chairs with fraying material. We called Davis Upholstery and were…read moretold they could order the material. Deb had the fabric sample books set out for us and allowed us to take them home to find ones we liked. We saw four patterns we liked and emailed her back to get pricing. We made our selection. We soon heard back that Deb was having trouble finding a supplier for the fabric. A bit later she contacted us again to say that our choice, as well as two of the others, was no longer available, so we went with the fourth choice. Then there was a delay in the manufacturer shipping the fabric. Once it arrived we had Deb and her crew sew the ends to match the original fabric pattern to fit into the chair frames. Deb drove the fabric out to Chico to rush the sewing since it had been almost two months since we had placed the order. Apparently there isn't much demand to recover sling chairs. I guess most people just replace them. This must have been very frustrating for Deb and Davis Upholstery. We are now happy that the chairs are useful again.
