How have I not rated Cap Frosty yet? Have been here at least a dozen times in 2 summers and it comes down to what I was telling my husband tonight while eating my ice cream, "sweets are hit or miss. Usually about half the time you think, that was just ok, or, I didn't really need it, or that was disappointing, yet that has never been the case here." Fast, friendly service and excellent options. My favorites are a simple scoop (every flavor is great that Ive tried!) and the freedom float. Go support this awesome local business! read more

Came here Memorial Day around 7. Yes, it was busy BUT the line went quick! Plus, you're going to need time to look over that massive menu. Highly recommend the mighty mint specialty sundae. I already have ideas for my next visits (yes. Plural). I'm embarrassed to admit that I am lived in the area for over a decade and had never been here until this summer. Wow was I missing out. Everything they have is delicious. I have gotten so many different items here an each was was always perfect. My favorite though are the banana peanut butter milkshake and my all time favorite mint chocolate chip ice cream! They have license tables you can sit and eat and and it's also right bay the bike bath so you have go for a walk. There is not a lot of parking but you can park on the side street. Seriously DELICIOUS!!! A few times the lines have been long but they always move quickly. read more

Their ice cream Sundae is a MUST try!!! I got the chunky monkey sundae. It said it was topped with a puff pastry, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. It turned out to be so freaking good.... Plus it was huge, and yes I still ate it all lol The shop itself is super cute, definitely a small town ice cream shop. It's a walk up and order place, but there are a bunch of outdoor picnic and patio tables to sit at. Holy moly do they have options galore! Portions are generous and picnic tables were clean when we arrived. Staff was helpful when my little guy had to go potty- something to note is there is NO public bathroom there, so my husband drove him to the gas station to go potty. read more

When we visit Michigan, we ride bikes with our family and this place is always a must. Rain or shine. My favorite flavor is blue moon and I have been here 3 times and I have gotten blue moon, 3 times. So cheap, so delicious, so friendly. This place is everything I love about summer ice cream stops. The menu is basically unlimited and the ingredients are fresh. They have lots of outdoor seating where you can enjoy your dessert. The servers were politely chatty and helpful with my order. I had a banana milkshake. It was loaded with real fresh bananas and absolutely hit the spot. My friend had a Boston cooler (like a rootber float but with Vernor's ginger ale) and loved it. I would have been happy with my shake no matter what, but the price makes it even more amazing. You can get a cone for $1.25! Love it! I will be coming back to try more things on the menu read more

This place has been here FOREVER and ITS THE BEST!!! There's a reason it's been around for so long! I love a good milkshake and they let you pick any ice cream they have and make you an incredible milkshake with it. If I didn't have self control I would be drinking multiple milkshakes everyday lol. They have a wonderful selection of other yummy concoctions and treats and they have freezies/slushees which is nice because I have a few dairy-free/vegan friends that can still get something from here. read more

The slow ride back was extra memorable - savoring my cone in the middle of a dark, lake, starry sky.

I also got the double dark chocolate, which was decent but a little more lackluster than I expected. They have a huge variety of flavors though and it definitely feels like the kind of place you need to come back to multiple times to really explore the menu. Every time I walk by there's basically a line around the block, so clearly people love it. Thankfully when I actually went, the service moved pretty quickly. Definitely somewhere I'd come back to try more flavors.

There's plenty of space inside to sit and enjoy your food/drinks, and it seems like there are several community events held here based on the flyers I saw (Easter Bunny, Speed Friending, etc.). There's even a private event space that's available for rent. We were greeted soon after we arrived and had a chance to look around. We ordered the Bananas Foster and Caramel Toffee Cappuccino shakes. I was very impressed with the time and care that was put into our shakes; they were picture perfect, and they tasted amazing! I'll definitely keep this place in mind when I want a treat in the future.

It's true that their chocolate is of high quality! There is just something different about the taste. I ordered a small non-dairy chocolate milkshake and it tasted sooo good! It is similar to a Wendy's frosty but better because it had tiny chocolate chunks within. I also appreciate that they have non dairy options so my stomach doesn't punish me for enjoying a milkshake :0p There is lots of seating inside and had a great time catching up with my friend!

The service is great- I think they manage long line well whenever the place is packed of excited customers. There are some cute seating nooks in the building - which are nice to share with friends and take photos in. There are also plenty of seats in the outdoor back patio portion. The texture is where the ice cream stands out. It's a refreshing and not overly sweet taste. The homemade waffle cones are some of the best I've had. One of the best parts of this place is the back patio area. Really nice aesthetic lighting, good background music, and a super relaxed atmosphere. Great spot for a date or just chillaxing with dessert and talking with a friend for awhile.
