Vanilla/Chocolate twist, medium size, dipped in butterscotch, in a chocolate/peanut dipped sugar cone.
Mary D.

In 2006, I used to take my dog Marko to Mark-O's Ice Cream Time and called it "his" ice cream place. Many years later, we take any number of pups (and ourselves) to Ice Cream Time, blissfully ignoring various other ice cream stops along the way, from Ann Arbor to Ypsilanti. My favorite is a bit basic (but not to me!)- a twist cone, dipped in butterscotch shell, inside a chocolate and peanut dipped sugar cone. Absolutely perfect, no other place has anything like it. Wait times are never long, their service is efficient. And you have to love the interesting locals who are there waiting and willing to chit chat with you. We particularly like the milkshake lady, who gets hers every night and calls the owner "Skeeball!" Highly recommend. The Flurries are mixed correctly (not too overloaded like they are at -choke- King Kone in Garden City) with the add-ons like peanut butter cups and chocolate chip cookie dough. The mix is right on and the cone will last almost the entire time without ending up on your shirt. Very important! The dip is not too thick and has a satisfyingly light crunch to it, without cracks for the ice cream to melt through. He has stayed open until Thanksgiving in years past but of course, this is the owner's purview. Go here instead of whatever the heck that is which happened to Mickey's (RIP the real Saline Mickey's- at least the Westland one still exists), DQ and Frosty Joey.

I went here around 5pm and there was no line. The service was very quick and very friendly. The menu was a little difficult to read since we had around 5 different menus posted around the building. The ice cream overall was good. Lots of seating for you to eat your ice cream outside in the sun or the shade. Great little shop.

This business has been here for years and they are still the sweetest people. They have an extensive menu and I was so satisfied that I was able to get exactly what I wanted in my ice cream. I felt like a little kid in a nostalgic way when they gave me my ice cream and asked me how it looked. The only thing I didn't like was the outside was a bit chaotic since there was no social distancing and people gathering around the front.

This place is so nice and delivers exactly what I wanted, a hot brownie in cold ice cream on a warm summer day. Beyond underrated I'm not sure why people haven't come here more and why the lines aren't packed

Adorable ice cream stand. Have lots of options to order on their menu. There is a lot of friendly people outside the stand as we waited for our ice cream. You can bring your dog here. I ordered a s'more flurry it was good.

Cute little ice cream stand in Ypsi with a ton of options, flavor combinations, and more. Soft serve is king here IMO but they also have hand dipped flavors if you want something along those lines. With the soft serve option, you can choose from a myriad of sundaes, flurries, shakes, and "glaciers" (slushes mixed with soft serve--yum!). I went with the tin roof sundae (chocolate sauce, peanuts, and soft serve) and my husband went with a cherry shake. Both were delicious and the perfect treat on a warm day. The gentleman who helped us, who I assume is the owner, was a delight. So friendly and helpful. I watched him interact with other customers and he was just a joy to observe. Loved our experience here and can't wait for future visits!

Visited Plant Based Coney Island to catch up with a friend and I am not disappointed!!…read more Walking in, it looks like a bar but it's a Coney Island. It was very clean and neat inside! There is seating inside and outside; I was extra stoked to be able to sit outside today! The guy taking my order was very nice and kind. Especially because I had a little bit of a slow moment and quickly forgot that it was a plant based Coney Island. Very untraditional LOL I ordered a Coney with a side of chips. The Coney comes with chili, mustard, and onions with sea salt chips. The Coney dog was so good. You honestly cannot tell that it is plant based. I'll be back because I definitely want to try their burgers and sandwiches! If you happen to be in Ypsi, it is in depot town and there are a variety of restaurants and a bar over here.

I wasn't a huge fan of the hibiscus lemonade. It was overly sweet with zero tartness, and I'd expect both from lemons and hibiscus. The chili cheese dog was fine. I think the chili is quite good but the cheese kind of dampened the flavor down. I recommend it with mustard. My favorite was the bacon jalapeno dog, while my partner preferred the coney. I think the hotdogs themselves have good flavor and are more similar in texture to a meat dog than any other imitation I've tried. I'd be willing to try more, but it's not a priority. I know it's all vegan but I will say I thought it was kind of expensive for what you get. But that's the economy we're living in, I guess!

It's not that I usually get bad service at a DQ, it's fine most of the time. Here, though? At this one? A master class in how to serve the public. Led by Amir, his team takes complete care of the client. They do it in such a way that it is infectious across the board. Amir lets everyone know that 'he's got them', letting everyone know that they are in good hands. He pays attention to people who are waiting, letting them know what is happening, while providing the best customer service possible to the next person in line. Coming from customer service, this is how I treat my own clients. I know that my method is rare so I find it incredibly refreshing when I see it happen to me and to have it happen in a place that I wouldn't otherwise expect. The magic behind Amir's leadership is how his team reflects him. I needed ice. Amir was busy but someone else on his team said 'he got me', got my cup, filled it with ice and the drink I wanted and took care of me. This team is absolutely amazing and my final point before I go...all of this happened near the end of the night. No one was dragging. Energy and desire to serve was still at a high level. Would DEFINITELY go back to this location again.
