NYC native here and have been searching for pizza just like home for 17 years so when we were in Sarasota for the weekend thought we had to give this place a shot and I'm so glad we did. The mushroom and onion pizza was definitely a huge hit and had all of the flavors from home I love. It was cooked perfectly and the sauce is to die for. It's a true Italian sauce and delicious. The service was also top notch and the owner came to check on us and get our opinion of the food. You can tell this small family owned business cares about its customers. I wish they had a location in Orlando so we can have it for our weekly pizza nights! read more

Ordered my pizza early because the Buccaneers were in the playoffs against the Lions. I'm glad I did! Even though I did that, it was a little late, however I was happy with that and the fact that the game was on while I waited. Very thin crust, nice and crispy but not burned. True gem we found on what was unfortunately our last night in town. This place is incredible and honestly one of the best Italian eateries I have been to in a long time. The staff was incredibly warm and friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The food brought me back to my childhood with its authenticity and flavor. We were kind of tired of the bar food and seafood we had all week which by no means was disappointing, I was just ready for some home cooking. That being said we kind of went all out and got a few different items. Meatballs were unbelievably good. About as good as nonna could make. Aroncini was amazing and full of flavor and the perfect texture. My wife got the house salad which was amazing. Fresh and simple exactly how an italian salad should be made. The chicken cutlets were thin and fried up to perfection. One of my boys got a small pizza which was a great NYC style pizza. My other son got a calzone which the owner swears was a tad overdone but it was beyond expectations. Wife got the Orchiette Pugliese which was honestly one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had and would highly recommend. To be completely honest, the place isn't mich to look at from the outside but please don't let that be your deciding factor. Some of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at have been a little rough around the edges on the outside. Would 12/10 eat here again. read more

Standout! We've tried all the pizza joints on Rte 41, some better than others but for the most part all very similar. This is the only spot where you take a bite and it hits different. Very distintive taste. You can taste the freshness. This is place is a must! read more

The customer service is fantastic. They are working on expanding their business into the property next door so as people find out how great they are they will need that additional space. Literally love the food and the people! We will be back again and again. We are in from Youngstown, Ohio (we have some excellent pizza there!), but this place is the best ever!!! The crust is perfect! I had tears in my eyes like I was eating my Grandma's meatballs and sauce. Baked ziti was perfection and oh so cheesy! Zeppoles were the perfect finish! This place is a whole experience. With every bite, I couldn't stop saying, "OMG! That is so F@#$@#NG good!" I don't do pineapples on pizza, but I took a bite of husband's pizza and was amazed with the pineapple puree! The flavors in every bite of everything... orgasmic!!! Our daughter is a huge complainer, and didn't leave a crumb on her plate! The buffalo chicken pizza was the best I have ever tasted in my life! Being a transplanted New Yorker the search for good NY style pizza is tough. As soon as you walk into the restaurant, the aromatic smell of pizza greets you. The pizza crust has a great char, plenty of cheese on the pie and the sauce is delicious. I also had the deep fried baked ziti which was scrumptious. The staff was friendly and efficient and the zeppolles were a tasty dessert. They also serve pizza by the slice before 3:00 pm, which really takes me home to NYC! read more
