This place was horrid. I went for my birthday. First the beer on tap was all flat. Then the mushrooms came cold. the waitress was un apologetic. All soda order were brought in correctly. The food is worth nothing that its priced at. Fazolis the fast food italian chain could compete with this place. Appalled and birthday dinner was ruined. Do not treat my reveiw lightly you will regret visiting if you are looking for anything more than a Fazolis with a wait. read more

For local pizza, you can't go wrong. We've been getting their carry out pizza for years and it is always consistent. It is a basic pizza, fresh and yummy. This is a solid business that has been around for years and will continue to be there. Service inside the restaurant is pretty good most of the time. Pastas are okay, there is better in the area. Salads are decent. Nothing here knocks your socks off, but it is always good and fresh. Though it is in the heart of a really touristy area, it hasn't fully succumbed to catering to the tourists. I love the spaghetti, that is really all I like about it. Prices are very high, and the main server can be very rude. After this last visit, we all agree that it will be carry out only from now on. We've had this server every time we have gone there. Makes no effort to fix anything when your order is not what you expected, you have to practically beg for water refills (switched to water as their pops are overpriced and they are stingy, only allowing 1 refill). read more

So here is a little secret. Order the "white pizza" where they use alfredo sauce on the pizza instead of the tomato based. IT IS THE BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD I LOVE IT!!! I was alarmed when I went to the washroom and I could see right into the kitchen where I witnessed a kitchen worker dabbing the grease puddles off a cardboard-resting pizza with paper towels. Whoa, nasty. I'd have to say that the reason several folks claim Capozio's is consistent is because DiGiorno makes a pretty consistent pie themselves which Capozio's is turning around and selling to you for $20. read more

I am a local and have been going to Capozios for years, (was sad when the Benton Harbor restaurant closed), the meatballs are the best! They are so tender and seasoned just right. I order them to go and make my pasta at home. So glad they are close to home!! read more

I'm in town for the 4th and it was recommended that I try this restaurant. The food was good. Cindy was my server and was unfriendly and rushed, it wasn't very busy at the time I was there. I ordered the Pollo Parmesan and asked if I could substitute the side of pasta for a vegetable or salad. I explained that I can't eat pasta and she said no. She was very uninterested in assisting. So unfortunately the pasta was delivered to the table and it went untouched. The Pollo Parmesan was good. The sauce delicious. read more

Stopped on our way home from the beach and wished we would've kept going. We were told the wait would be 20 minutes which is totally doable on a Saturday. Unfortunately, it turned into 45 minutes. The most frustrating part was that there were FOUR empty tables the entire time we waited! The waitress was ok, but we had to flag her down to get refills on drinks. The food was good, but not great. My son had ravioli which was clearly frozen. We will not be returning in the future. read more

Food was decent, service was not good at all. Two different things came out wrong and when the right things came out, they weren't anything impressive. Server was very unpleasant and tried to blame us for the food coming out incorrectly as if we ordered the wrong thing. Disappointing. read more

The very best Marina sauce. Such flavor! Capozio's simmer the best red sauce. Have also eaten at Chicago's "G" for their famous pizza. I'd expected so much more then what we were served. Been to New York and ate Italian at four different restaurants. I'll still vote for Capozio's pasta. read more

great pizza, a surprising good house red wine, atmosphere very lacking. your choices are a sad outdated sports area or a stuffy dining area. we chose the prior and its usually a quick sitting. only open a few days a week in off season and only for dinner. prices fair for pizza, house wine and salad/garlic tomato bread. ingredients always great quality. owners and owners children stand offish and not very professional...bordering rude so if you have an issue just move on or you'll get more grief. servers generally friendly and good. worth a try if your craving pzza and red wine. read more

This was the worst place I've been too. When we first walked in, the place wreaked of moth balls and reminded me of an elderly person's home that is left unkept. The food was atrocious, and I almost vomitted solely from the smell. When we tasted the Alfredo, it was as if we were digging into a nice moldy jar of sour cream. I sent my plate back; however, my husband "suffered" through his and left most at the table. Upon expressing my disinterest in the lousy food, the waitress was huffy and rude. She informed us that the Alfredo was homemade, and was good. I asked her what she recommended, and she rudely informed me the Alfredo. I tried the spaghetti, which had burnt sauce. I didn't have the heart to send that back or let the waitress know. Even a copious amount of ranch wasn't enough to cover the taste. Last but not least, the pink moscato smelled and tasted of dirty feet. All in all, this was the worst experience I've ever had. We just spent $40 for the worst food of my life. read more

The service here was terrible!!! We walked into an almost empty restaurant ahead of about 30 people and waited almost 15 minutes to be seated. We ordered drinks, an appetizer, and dinner. The drinks were served just before the appetizer, the salad came as we finished our appetizer, then nothing. Our 2 drinks were gone, salads were gone, two of the tables seated after us were well into their meals when our dinners finally arrived. My seafood pasta looked ok but the cannelloni was BURNT. It was black on the edge and smelled burnt. We asked for a box for the seafood pasta and told the waitress that the cannelloni was burnt so she took it back. A young man brought the burnt dish back to the table in a box and gave us the bill. We told him it was burnt and didn't want it. He proceeded to argue with us. We asked to speak to the manager and he said he was the manager. We then asked to speak to the owner. Apparently he's the owner too. He was incredibly rude! I will never attempt to go back and would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more
